The Tribunal started on 25th April at 10am. If you would like to view online you need to send a request for access as early as possible.

Send an email to

[email protected]

The subject heading of the email request should read

“MEDIA OR PUBLIC ACCESS REQUEST – Case number 2202172/2020 - Ms A Bailey – 25th April 2022.

Then ask for the pin for the online access.

You will be contacted with instructions on how to observe the hearing.

When joining the live tribunal please choose a non inflammatory/offensive name, everyone can see it in the chat - This is a court room, please behave accordingly.

The court chat function is there for official court purposes, not for observers, please don't use it unless you have a technical issue.

Late arrival and only bothered to get up to speed with new fangled MN for this, but read every thread still and enjoyed every minute.
Just wondering how the engagement of MN users and the very length of this will effect MN advertising stats? It will surely show up when they do their data capture and be a final nail against pile-ons against advertisers. Dunno if anyone was persuaded to change washing powder while following BC and cat-spotting but undeniably we all stayed on the site where the ad was running for a veerrry long time Grin

I think what you are saying is that we should all get some commission? 😁

Thanks ickky- you have been brilliant. 👏👏👏

Absolutely! Although Kirrin Medcalf's mum, support dog, and support invisible friend are missing from the dramatis personae?

dillite · 26/05/2022 16:44

For those of you that have been following this hearing all along, what would you like changed on CVP? Other than being able to mute everyone at once.

SidewaysOtter · 26/05/2022 16:44

A massive thank you to Ickky - I only managed to join the hearing this week but I've been following the threads from the beginning. Sterling work!

And Allison, if you're reading this, you're a bloody amazing woman.

I couldn't fit them all in. 😂

Thanks for your company, comments and insights, I'll have to now get on with the huge backlog of work that I have carelessly allowed to be sidelined by this case.

Everyone from the legal teams and tribunal panel must be absolutely exhausted.

(Some more so than others, obviously)

Zeugma · 26/05/2022 16:44

Thank you ickky

And thank you everyone for being a source of such incredible wisdom, insight and amusement.

BoreOfWhabylon · 26/05/2022 16:45

Huge thanks to @ickky and all the commentators Flowers

Time for support wine yet?!

I'm not supposed to be drinking mid-week, but I am regretting that decision after listening today!

It's OK, Thursday identifies as the weekend now. (Perhaps that's just me....)

ifIwerenotanandroid · 26/05/2022 16:46

I'm gonna miss you guys. See you around MN. It's been great.

And to Allison: so much love & thanks. I think we have an idea of what you went through now, & I for one am gobsmacked. I wish I'd seen you give evidence. All the best, & good luck for the result.💐

BenCooperisaGod · 26/05/2022 16:33

Noooooo. No more Twittersplaining. Just pop Hockhouse an email, he should have it down pat by now

Actually, I would like to know the answer to this as well - I don’t have Twitter either.

😀

For those of you that have been following this hearing all along, what would you like changed on CVP? Other than being able to mute everyone at once.

I didn't watch the whole thing, but I think noise cancelling would be good. Detailed instructions on what the chat should / should not be used for would help too. A clear warning on the email that if you write about anything other than technical problems you'll get kicked out with no further warning.

For those of you that have been following this hearing all along, what would you like changed on CVP? Other than being able to mute everyone at once.

Those of us who are observers are muted and cameras off.

Observers can only use the chat to contact a designated facilitator person who organises the resolution of technical issues, posting of the links to bundles etc.

The most effective changes would be for the courts/tribunals to issue guidelines about:
—cameras and visibility
—use of a proper microphone and noise cancelling software.

Boiledbeetle · 26/05/2022 16:50

So I'm trying to sleep but my head just won't stop whirring.

I was angry when I had only read Allison's witness statement.

Now that this part is done I am so much more angry that they thought it was OK acceptable, to be commended even, that they treat Allison so badly.

As I said earlier. It's 20bloody22! This should not still be happening.

This has to stop.

TheBiologyStupid · 26/05/2022 16:52

ickky · 26/05/2022 16:44

I couldn't fit them all in. 😂

Ah well, the invisible friend is in there anyway!

Mrskettleson · 26/05/2022 16:52

💐& 🍷for all, especially Allison.

OvaHere · 26/05/2022 16:53

Thank you for this and the previous threads. I haven't been able to follow a lot of it live so really appreciate all the commentary.

I guess we'll reconvene on the 20th for the final summations. Shame there is such a big gap however it does mean all parties will probably be bringing their A game!

ClocheEncounter · 26/05/2022 16:54

WildIris · 26/05/2022 16:47

Actually, I would like to know the answer to this as well - I don’t have Twitter either.

😀

I would imagine it's 31 million impressions total. So if they sent out, say, 10,000 tweets, each of them would have been viewed an average of 3,100 times. Or if they only sent out 1000 tweets, each one has been viewed an average of 31,000 times. (Which will include people looking at tweets multiple times, but still! That's a huge number of impressions for a Twitter account of an employment tribunal!)

theemperorhasnoclothes · 26/05/2022 16:55

I feel bereft. What the heck am I going to listen to while working now?!!

It's been enraging, it's been interesting, I am so much better informed about how these things work.

I am terrified that so many members of the legal profession have a sketchy relationship with scientific fact. And clearly don't care a jot about women's rights

GettingMarriedAgain · 26/05/2022 16:57

Thank you everyone - I have followed all these threads and am 😮 at what Allison has been through.

Chrysanthemum5 · 26/05/2022 16:57

Thank you to all the posters on this thread for being a place where we can all vent during the trial. I will miss my daily chats with you all

Thank you to Allison I'm so sorry you had to deal with this - but win or lose you are a shero to me. I am proud to have been able to support your funding

ResisterRex · 26/05/2022 16:58

I missed the end!

I was already feeling like I was going to be going against the grain but I didn't dislike AH. He's doing his job. And partly they'll always be taking a chance here and there.

It's nice to see the thanks that apparently went round in the chat. I'd love to be a fly on the wall at EJG's.

We all owe a debt to Allison for bringing this case. I'm so grateful she did, whatever the outcome.

Tribunal Tweets have done an amazing job too.

MythicalReasonableTwitterUser · 26/05/2022 16:58

What is the relevance of the Mumsnet link to WPUK meeting chaired by AB?

As mentioned by yourhairiswinterfire, there was was the bit about GCC associating with a proper feminist being welcomed by Mumsnet, (Buttergasp) and also BC had questioned how SH knew about Allison being at the meeting before it had actually happened.

I hope Judge Goodman also pops in and finds some support humor here.
