Our verdict

Air fryer pioneers Ninja have some fantastic discounts live this week. Their popular Foodi MAX Dual Zone Air Fryer has had a revamp and now comes in a sleek, deluxe copper edition with a tidy £90 knocked off the RRP. With a 9.5-litre capacity, this model is ideal for busy families and can cook food up to 75% faster than a regular oven.

The Ninja Foodi Dual Zone also has independent cooking zones, allowing two different meals to be prepared simultaneously so everyone can eat together. This versatility is what makes it so popular with parents; "I cook a full roast in mine every Sunday. The only thing I use my oven for is pizza, as it doesn't fit. I made shepherd's pie in it yesterday, mac and cheese last week. It's really versatile," reported a Mumsnetter who tested the air fryer.

Tower T17021 Family Size Air Fryer

Save 47%. Was £70, now £37

What Mumsnet users say
Dontlickthetrolley · Recommended brand
I had a Tower and loved it. Just needed to give it a shake every now and then.

Our verdict

You'd be hard pressed to find a decent air fryer cheaper than this Tower model. For less than £40, this impressive air fryer uses exclusive Vortx technology that allows for rapid circulation of hot air, leading to fast cooking times and healthier meals with less fat.

Granted, it's not as fancy as some other models you can pick up, but at this price, you get exceptional value for money if you don't mind forgoing built-in presets. We love this basic but hardworking buy.

Ninja Speedi 10-in-1 Rapid Cooker and Air Fryer
What Mumsnet users say
WhiskersPete · Tried & Tested
We have one. It's great. No accessories needed but it does take a while to get your head around all the different functions...

Our verdict

By this point, you'll be well aware that Ninja is a brand that Mumsnetters eagerly anticipate deals from. We’ve spied this top deal on the blue Speedi multi-cooker; with 10 functions, it acts as an air fryer, slow cooker, grill, steamer and more.

You can currently snap it up with a whopping £110 off the RRP at Amazon - we think you’d struggle to find such an impressive multi-cooker at this very reasonable price. Take it from this Mumsnet user: "[It's] my best purchase this year."

COSORI 5.5L Smart Air Fryer Oven

Save 25%. Was £120, now £90

What Mumsnet users say
Roselilly36 · Tried & Tested
We have a Cosori one, 5.5 litre, it’s very good and so easy to clean.

Our verdict

Another Mumsnetter favourite, the Cosori is an affordable yet hardworking single-basket air fryer that can easily cater to a family. From deliciously crispy chips and hash browns to succulent chicken and juicy steak, it makes light work of a variety of meals while saving you money on your energy bills.

It's now just £90 for the high-tech Wi-Fi enabled version, so you don't even need to be in the same room to control it. Mumsnet testers report it's ideal for small kitchens too: "[The] footprint of the Cosori is 30cm x 30cm, it's very compact. You need to allow a bit of space around it when in use, but otherwise I keep it tucked in a corner."

Philips Airfryer 3000 Series XL, 6.2L

One of the best Black Friday air fryer deals we've seen today is the Philips Airfryer 3000 Series L, 6.2L. With a whopping 44% off the RRP, it's now down to less than £100.

There's seven preset programmes so you can tailor the settings to whatever you're cooking, from deliciously crispy chips to healthy grilled vegetables. It also cooks food up to 50% faster than a conventional oven, saving you both time and money when you're prepping family meals.

Instant Pot Duo Crisp + Air Fryer 11-in-1 Electric Multi-Cooker

Save 26%. RRP £190, now £140

JerkintheMerkin · Tried & Tested
Get the Instant Pot Duo Crisp. Absolutely love mine.

Our verdict

There's much debate on the Mumsnet forums on which is better: Instant Pot or Ninja. They both offer similar products, but where Ninja excels in air fryers, Instant Pots specifically tend to be multi-cookers, which sometimes don't have an air fryer setting. Luckily, this model from the brand comes equipped with one, so you can use it for all your air frying needs.

With 11 functions allowing you to cook in a variety of ways, this versatile gadget is a winner with Mumsnetters, and it took the award for 'best buy with an air fryer' in our ultimate Instant Pot round-up. Get it now with £50 off the RRP.

Russell Hobbs 27170 SatisFry Extra Large Digital Air Fryer

47% off. RRP £95, now £50

Our verdict

The Russell Hobbs SatisFry was a bestseller amongst Mumsnetters on Prime Day and it's not hard to see why. With an impressive eight-litre capacity at a relatively low price point, this energy-efficient appliance is one of the best value air fryers you can pick up this Black Friday.

From perfectly crispy chips to tender, succulent chicken, its 10 settings make light and speedy work of family favourites.

Instant VersaZone Dual Air Fryer
What Mumsnet users say
SpudsandGravy · Tried & Tested
Highly recommend the Instant Pot Versazone air fryer. It has a larger capacity than quite possibly all of the others. I now use it for everything except large pizza (although it will do that too if I cut it in half). Just treat it like a small oven.
See Post
Our verdict

A great choice for large families thanks to its generous 8.5-litre capacity, this dual-basket air fryer allows you to cook two foods at once, plus it has eight programmes so you can also use it to bake, roast, grill and dehydrate.

It's not too dissimilar to the Ninja Foodi, but it comes in slightly cheaper, and you can currently pick it up with a massive £80 discount off the RRP.

Ninja AF100UK Air Fryer

Save 47%. Was £150, now £80

Our verdict

While many Mumsnetters swear by the Ninja Foodi Max with dual drawers, this smaller single-basket offering from the brand is an excellent option if you’re wanting something cheaper that doesn’t take up as much counter space. With a 3.8-litre capacity, there’s still plenty of space for a couple or a small family, and it produces delicious, speedy meals while helping you save up to 55% on your energy bill (versus a conventional oven).

It currently has an impressive £69 off the RRP; be warned though - Ninja stock moves fast during sales events and this model has already gone out of stock at John Lewis, Ninja, Amazon, and Very. The good news is you can currently still pick it up from Argos.

When is Black Friday 2023?

For 2023, Black Friday is officially on Friday 24th November. However, deals have been live throughout the month, and they will continue across the weekend.

Cyber Monday 2023 falls today, on Monday 27th November. Traditionally, Black Friday was more focused on in store sales whereas, as the name suggests, Cyber Monday was mainly for online discounts. As most people now do a lot of their shopping online, this distinction is less clear, and you can get fantastic deals from online retailers on both days.

Looking for more Black Friday deals? We also have guides to the best Black Friday beauty deals, best Black Friday LEGO deals, and the best tablet deals Black Friday.

Is it worth getting a Black Friday air fryer deal?

You can shop a plethora of deals on Black Friday and Cyber Monday, which makes it a great time to bag an air fryer if you've been after one for a while. We recommend doing some research first - think about the capacity you want, the types of meals you want to cook, how much space is spare in your kitchen and, most importantly, how much you can spend.

You can get great savings of up to £100 on selected air fryers this year, but there's no point impulsively buying something that you won't use. So, yes, it is worth snapping up a Black Friday deal, but only if it's something you know you'll get your money's worth out of - even at a discounted price.

Which type of air fryer should I buy this Black Friday?

Air fryer black friday deals

There are several kinds of air fryers on the market, which tends to vary in terms of capacity, method of cooking and programmes available.

  • Mini oven style: These can be slightly larger in size, and this style of air fryer uses convection-style heating to cook food on flatter trays rather than deep baskets.

  • Basket style: The traditional style air fryers come with a basket-style tray for cooking, ideal for cooking chips or quick and easy dinners. Some come with an auto paddle for turning, whereas others need to be manually turned to ensure an even, crisp coating.

  • Rotisserie style:  The ideal solution for a perfectly browned rotisserie chicken, these have a rotating feature to ensure an even finish.
