Where official information is available we've included confirmed prices, launch dates and contents. If a brand hasn't announced its 2026 calendar yet, we've included last year's details where helpful and will update this guide as soon as new information is released.

LOOKFANTASTIC beauty Advent calendar

LOOKFANTASTIC Beauty Advent Calendar

Top Tested
What I like
  • Exceptional value with £655+ worth of products for £105

  • Generous 17 full-sized items at this price point

  • Well-curated mix of cult favorites like Sol de Janeiro, Medik8, and The White Company

  • Accessible pricing compared to luxury competitors

  • Three different calendar options to suit various preferences

  • Quality brands with consistent performance

What I don't like
  • £5 price increase from previous year

  • Some filler items like shaving gel won't appeal to everyone

  • Mini products feel more like samples than substantial treats

  • Packaging, while improved, still lacks festive charm compared to premium calendars

  • Limited shade inclusivity in makeup products

  • Inclusion of collagen supplements may send wrong message to younger recipients

Key specs

RRP on writing: £105 | Estimated worth: £655+ | Available: Order now | Contents: 28 products total, including 17 full-sized items | Special features: 10th anniversary edition, choice of three calendars (Beauty, Grooming, Fragrance), red festive packaging

What Mumsnet users say

JoRaRaRa · Recommended brand
I feel like I need more than 1 calendar this year 🤣 I usually only get 1, but this year, I want more 😈

My verdict

Tried and recommended by me: read my full LOOKFANTASTIC beauty Advent calendar review.

LOOKFANTASTIC celebrates a decade of Advent calendars with their most generous offering yet, offering exceptional value that's hard to beat in this year's competitive market.

At £105, you're getting over £655+ worth of products with an impressive 17 full-sized items – a ratio that actually puts many pricier calendars to shame. The curation strikes a nice balance between skincare essentials from Medik8 and ESPA, cult fragrance favorites like Sol de Janeiro and lifestyle treats including a gorgeous White Company candle.

While the calendar hasn't escaped inflation with a £5 increase from last year, it remains refreshingly accessible compared to the £200+ luxury alternatives flooding the market from the likes of Liberty and Harrods.

The brand has listened to feedback too, swapping last year's plain packaging for a more festive red design, though it still lacks the wow factor of premium competitors IMO. With that said, the addition of three different calendar options (Beauty, Grooming, and Fragrance) shows LOOKFANTASTIC is expanding its appeal beyond traditional beauty enthusiasts.

The quality is consistently solid across the board, with standout performers like the Medik8 Hydra B5 serum and LANEIGE SPF proving their worth in daily testing. Yes, there are a few filler items that won't thrill everyone, and some minis feel more sample-sized than treat-worthy, but the overall value proposition is compelling.

For beauty fans wanting a taste of luxury brands without the luxury price tag, this 10th anniversary edition delivers on its promise of being both generous and accessible IMO.

Rodial beauty Advent calendar

12 Days of Rodial beauty Advent calendar

What I like
  • Nice mix of skincare and make-up

  • Superb value for money

  • Try Rodial before committing to full sizes (and prices!)

  • Compact, recyclable packaging

What I don't like
  • Lacks the traditional 'Advent calendar' feel

  • Not many full-sized items included

Key specs

Price on writing: £97 (worth £244) | Available: Now via Rodial and selected retailers | Number of products: 12 (mix of skincare and make-up)

What Mumsnet users say

Mumsnet editor, Rebecca Roberts · Recommended product
Just 12 genuinely useful products from a brand that’s normally well out of most people’s price range.
See Post
My verdict

Rodial’s 12 Days of Rodial beauty Advent calendar isn’t quite what you’d expect from a luxury brand - it’s smaller, simpler and far more practical. Instead of flashy packaging or endless filler minis, you get 12 genuinely useful skincare and make-up products that showcase the best of Rodial without the hefty price tag.

The focus is on quality over quantity, with formulas that actually deliver visible results. You do lose a bit of the “door-opening” fun that makes advent calendars feel festive, but if you care more about what’s inside than the wrapping, this one’s an impressive all-rounder that feels indulgent yet sensible.

Charlotte Tilbury's beauty Advent calendar

Charlotte Tilbury beauty Advent calendar

Top Tested
What I like
  • Five full-size products (up from three last year)

  • Includes cult favorites: Magic Cream, Pillow Talk range

  • Reusable packaging as a jewellery/makeup box

  • Unnumbered drawers - open at random

  • Authentic products direct from brand

What I don't like
  • £175 for only 34% savings (not huge value)

  • Heavily Pillow Talk-focused (repetitive)

  • Limited skincare options (3 vs 9 makeup items)

  • Limited shade diversity

  • Premium price point

Key specs

Price on writing: £175, worth £264 | Available: Now, buy before it goes out of stock | Contents: 12 products inside, including five full-sized items (up from three in 2024)

My verdict

Tried and tested by Mumsnet: read my full Charlotte Tilbury beauty Advent calendar 2025 review.

Like last year's edition, this isn't a traditional Advent calendar - it's a 12-drawer treasure chest filled with Charlotte Tilbury's most iconic products. The 2025 release improves on last year with five full-size products (up from three), including the legendary Magic Cream, Pillow Talk Collagen Lip Bath and a full-size Exagger-Eyes Volume Mascara, which I was thrilled to find!

The celestial star constellation packaging is glamourous and reusable as a jewellery or makeup box, with unnumbered drawers you can open at random. Though at £175, the savings aren't huge (34% off retail), but the value is solid for brand devotees.

A downside is that it's heavily Pillow Talk-focused with limited skincare (only three skincare items versus nine makeup products), and shade range is limited for diverse skin tones. Plus, it's only £5 more than last year but still a premium price point.

Die-hard Charlotte Tilbury fans who want her cult classics in one luxurious package should consider this as their calendar for 2025, and also those who prefer quality over quantity.

Boots' beauty Advent calendar

Boots 24-Day Premium beauty Advent calendar

Top Tested
What I like
  • Incredible value: £150 for £613 worth of stuff

  • 17 full-size products (not just tiny samples)

  • Genuinely good skincare brands you'd actually buy

  • Practical everyday makeup, not random glitter

  • Earns 450 Advantage Card points

  • Sturdy box you can reuse

What I don't like
  • Too many lip products

  • Only one perfume

  • Barely any haircare

  • Massive box to store

  • Circus theme isn't very Christmassy

Key specs

Price on writing: £150 (worth £613) | Number of products: 25 (17 full-size) | Availability: Online only at Boots.com

My verdict

Tried and tested by Mumsnet: read my full Boots 24-Day Premium beauty Advent calendar review.

The Boots Premium Beauty Advent Calendar delivers exceptional value with 25 products (17 full-size) from trusted brands including Drunk Elephant, NARS, Fenty Beauty, and Estée Lauder. At £150, it offers over £460 in savings and earns you 450 Advantage Card points, making it one of the most generous beauty calendars on the market this year without the premium price tag of competitors like Liberty or Cult Beauty.

The standout strength is its practical, wearable selection - think everyday makeup staples and hardworking skincare rather than novelty items. Highlights include Drunk Elephant's Protini Cream, NARS Light Reflecting Primer, and Philip Kingsley's Elasticizer treatment. The skincare offering is particularly impressive with brands like Fresh and Caudalie. However, there's notable repetition in lip products and limited options for fragrance (just one Sol de Janeiro scent) and haircare enthusiasts.

Presented in a sturdy, reusable circus-themed box, it's ideal for busy parents and skincare lovers who want accessible luxury. The calendar scored 86/100 in testing, with top marks for value (15/15) and strong scores for performance and quality. Available exclusively online at Boots.com with free delivery on orders over £25, it's a smart choice for those seeking genuine indulgence without the wasteful extras.

Jurlique beauty Advent calendar

Jurlique Christmas Advent Calendar

What I like
  • Significant upgrade with full-sized 30ml Rare Rose Face Oil (previously 10ml)

  • Introduction of new Calendula range adds variety beyond rose-heavy lineup

  • Beautiful keepsake packaging

  • All products remain free from silicones, parabens and synthetic ingredients

  • Good mix of face, body and hand care products

  • Entirely recyclable packaging

What I don't like
  • Still heavily rose-dominated (8 out of 24 products)

  • Some product sizes have decreased (PAD Firming Face Oil down from 10ml to 9ml)

  • Price remains the same despite fewer full-sized items

  • Missing some 2024 favourites like the headband and lip balm

Key specs

Key specs RRP on writing: was £110, now £66 | Estimated worth: £310+ | Available: Available now | Contents: 24 products total, including three full-sized items | Special features: All-natural formulations, biodynamic farm-grown ingredients, entirely recyclable packaging, keepsake box with botanical artwork by Australian artist Steph Brooke

My verdict

Jurlique's 2025 Advent Calendar maintains the brand's commitment to natural, farm-grown skincare while making some strategic improvements.

The standout upgrade is the full-sized 30ml Rare Rose Face Oil, which alone justifies much of the £110 price point. The addition of the Calendula range provides welcome relief from the rose-heavy lineup that dominated last year's, though eight rose products still make this calendar best suited to those who genuinely love the scent.

The packaging deserves special mention, though, IMO - the keepsake box features botanical artwork by Australian artist Steph Brooke, which elevates this beyond typical advent calendars into genuine gift territory.

There's three full sized products like last year, which you could argue is slightly disappointing as there isn't more, but the overall product selection does feel more curated and the sizes are generous enough to provide meaningful trials of Jurlique's key ranges.

For natural skincare enthusiasts, particularly those drawn to rose-based formulations, this calendar offers excellent value at £110 for products worth over £310. However, the heavy rose focus and predominance of sample sizes mean it's quite niche - perfect for existing Jurlique fans but potentially overwhelming for newcomers to the brand.

The history of beauty Advent calendars

Beauty advent calendars have come a long way since Selfridges launched the first one back in 2010. What started as a niche luxury gift has grown into one of the biggest shopping events in the beauty calendar, with many of the most sought-after editions selling out months before December.

Today, you'll find everything from premium multi-brand edits by Liberty, Harrods and Cult Beauty to retailer favourites from Lookfantastic, Sephora and John Lewis, as well as calendars dedicated to individual brands like Rituals, Elemis and Jo Malone. Every year brings new launches, higher product values and even longer waitlists.

If the Mumsnet forums are anything to go by, beauty advent calendar season now starts in the summer. As soon as the first spoilers and waitlists appear, members are busy comparing contents, swapping launch dates and deciding which calendars are worth the investment.

As Mumsnet user LarsErickssong puts it:

I only got a calendar for the first time last year on a bit of a whim as I didn't know what I wanted for my birthday. Never really been into skincare but trying all the different products has made me obsessed! So I'm really excited to be able to research and choose properly this year knowing more of what I do or don't like.

Join in the conversation

See what beauty Advent calendars Mumsnet users are lusting after for 2026 - including top recommendations, preferences and rather honest opinions.

Are beauty Advent calendars worth it?

Beauty advent calendars are undeniably a luxury purchase, but they can offer excellent value if you actually use the products inside. Some also include exclusive shades, limited-edition products or early access to new launches that aren't available to buy separately.

Many of the premium calendars contain hundreds – and sometimes more than £1,000 – worth of skincare, makeup, fragrance and haircare for a fraction of the combined retail price. They're also a great way to discover new brands or try hero products before committing to buying the full-size versions.

That said, the best value isn't always the most expensive calendar. Some of the retailer editions from brands like Lookfantastic, Sephora and ASOS consistently receive praise from Mumsnet users for offering a varied mix of well-known brands at a lower price point.

Our advice? Rather than focusing on the headline value, look closely at the product mix. If you're excited to use most of what's inside, a beauty advent calendar can be a worthwhile treat. If not, you're probably better off spending the money on products you already know and love.

How we chose our recommendations

Beauty advent calendars start launching earlier every year, so Mumsnet Senior Content Editor Rebecca Roberts has been tracking the 2026 releases from the first waitlists through to the full calendar reveals.

Alongside researching official product information, launch dates and pricing from each retailer, we closely follow discussions on the Mumsnet forums to see which calendars members are genuinely excited about, which sold out quickly in previous years and which they feel offer the best value.

Beauty advent calendar season is taken very seriously by many Mumsnet users (yes, there are spreadsheets!), with members comparing contents, calculating product values and sharing spoilers as soon as they're released. Those conversations, combined with our own editorial research, have helped shape our recommendations.

Because new calendars are announced throughout the summer, we'll keep this guide updated with confirmed launch dates, prices, waitlists and contents as more brands reveal their 2026 beauty advent calendars.
