The Tribunal started on 25th April at 10am. If you would like to view online you need to send a request for access as early as possible.

Send an email to

The subject heading of the email request should read

“MEDIA OR PUBLIC ACCESS REQUEST – Case number 2202172/2020 - Ms A Bailey – 25th April 2022.

Then ask for the pin for the online access.
You will be contacted with instructions on how to observe the hearing.

When joining the live tribunal

On the first page underneath where you put your screen name, select the video and mic that are not crossed out (top option), this is the courts vid and mic.

On the next page select NONE on the drop down windows for vid and mic, these are your own video and mic.

You must be muted so as to not disturb the hearing.

On the off-chance you are reading this, Allison, or have a good friend who is feeding the reasonable stuff back to you - very, very best of luck!

I've spent the afternoon reading through Allison's witness statement and I'm absolutely astounded that the senior members of GC acted in such a ham-fisted manner throughout. Quite apart from their dreadful treatment of Allison, my estimation of their professional capabilities has plummeted - I wouldn't trust them to defend me for a parking fine. They didn't check anything properly, just made wild assumptions. It's just shocking.

Wondering how much work I'm going to get done tomorrow as will be following on here and tribunal tweets.

I found that confusing, too. When I initially heard about the case I thought that Stonewall was a major client of the Garden Court, but it turns out that in terms of revenue they were not a client at all. Yet in her statement Allison describes how some in the chambers dissed an actual client who had written to support Allison. So the strength of the beliefs here was immense, yet I can't quite see where they came from, ie, was it just an assumption that trans rights were exactly like gay and Lesbian rights or what motivated the extremely strong reactions by some in GC.

I think Allison won't be able to read anything about the case till after her evidence is over - but once she can, ALLISON, IF YOU'RE THERE, YOU'RE BRILLIANT. 😀

The psychology of GCC’s behaviour is interesting I suppose if you aren’t Alison. It’s like an extreme version of sunken costs. They had thrown their lot in with SW and so when AB began to voice an alternative opinion and dared to intimate that the Emperor might not be fully clothed she had to be dealt with.
