I had another Lotus biscuit for the new thread, and then a few more! They are very thin though(unlike me)

No, it was more the fact that one of their most commonly sung chants has the refrain "No-one likes us, we don't care", which doesn't strike me as particularly fitting for most TRAs.

How nonchalant are they really though? They’ve made a whole song about it... Hmm

Forgot the Grin to go with that.

My uncle is a Millwall fan, man and boy. I used to live within earshot of the ground if the wind was in the right direction. They care deeply - most supporters aren't thugs but there are a few - people don't like Millwall generally because of those few and there is a bit of a white working class chip on the shoulder mentality in the area anyway.

Thanks for the new thread, ickky, I can relax again.

I just had 2 TUC biscuits and here I am.

I spent far too long in the polytunnel and I've had to come in and get changed. Too hot.

I didn't know the TUC had their own biscuits.

Haven't been on the site since February and am here to catch some depth on AB's case. Wow such a lot, might need the 'Reader's Digest' version....and then MN decides to upgrade. As if I don't have enough problems.

Report
IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 07/06/2022 14:24

We used to hold work meetings very often at the TUC. I think TUC biscuits would have scenes of industrial protest on them instead of the cows on the malted milk biscuits.

Report
IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 07/06/2022 14:27

I suppose that brings us full circle. Could anyone persuade the TUC to bring out a range of Tribunal biscuits with our favourite scenes on. We have ample material....

Zebracat · 07/06/2022 18:09

I think some suffrage biscuits would be good. Obviously not forced feeding or the Kings Horse, but pennies with a hole, and biscuits with striped violet, white and green icing. I’m not much of a cook, but I’m quite tempted to give this a go

Oops this is the old thread.

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 07/06/2022 20:39

I don't like leaving a thread hanging with 40 spaces. I haven't checked out the new one yet in case it's full of biscuits before 20th.

Report
dunBel · 07/06/2022 23:19

Yep, we may as well carry on with the general wittering over here until this thread is full, to save capacity on the next one.

Quick question about next week's summing up session - who goes first? Is it usually the claimant, and then the respondant responds, or is it the other way around? And given we have two separate respondants in this case, is there any priority involved there, or do they just agree it between them?

Report
IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 17/06/2022 10:44

I don't know but bumping this.

I feel like we need to fill this before Monday or else I'll be agitated again about having simultaneous threads open. Quick. Someone say something about biscuits 30 times 😉

I'm invoking autistic privilege for having weird Mumsnet thread anxiety and not having my mother or my support dog to hand.

I have support cockerels near me but it's too hot for them so they're hiding under the shrubbery and providing no emotional support whatsoever.

Report
LaPufalina · 17/06/2022 11:10

I'll help fill it Smile
What time does it all start on Monday? I could scroll back to check but that wouldn't help the thread number!

Report
ClocheEncounter · 17/06/2022 11:12

I think it’s scheduled for 10am, LaPufalina.

(Insert something about Jammie Dodgers goes here. Even though I buy the Aldi equivalents because they’re cheaper and just as nice, IMO.)

And now I can double post to bemoan the lack of an edit button 😁

I can't be with you on Monday due to EHCP review.
My 17yo likes party rings though, they are currently her treat of choice.

Do we have any idea what's likely to be happening when on Monday? I have to work and probably can't even WFH that day (was hoping to use flexi time to catch a bit at home), so trying to work out whether I can manage any at all, and what bits are likely to be of most interest 😠

Report
LaPufalina · 17/06/2022 12:08

I've managed to book a scan and a dentist appointment for that day after thinking it looked a nice free WFH day. Current me is cross with past me Hmm

Report
IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 17/06/2022 13:56

I don't know what will happen and how long it will all take but I suspect it won't be all day will it? Each of the three barristers will do their summing up/ closing arguments.

Not sure what else needs to happen. Judge says something about the timetable maybe?

I have it as Keep Free in my work diary in homage to Allison Bailey. I have no clerks to give me work. Just an incredibly annoying boss who this morning gave me something with a deadline of close of play Monday but I'll be tuning in anyway.

Thought I'd come and think about biscuits on here instead of the same old, same old, meaningless nonsense on other threads!
Sainsburys used to do an excellent stem ginger dark chocolate cookie. In fact I might pop there next week to see if they still do.
