@GodisaBC thanks, I shall keep safe for an emergency.

I'm still getting working my way through some good looking but bad tasting fairy cakes, as once the cat had licked one no-one else wanted one!

😮Surely the cat spittle adds to the flavour.

Well now I need some Jaffa cakes.

Man of wealth and toast, surely...

I stand corrected lol - lyrics adjusted for accuracy and humor

Please allow me to introduce myself

I've been around for a long, long years

I can't find a jaffa cake on there, but... www.pimpthatsnack.com/project/ten-tonneocks-teacake/

Jaffa Cake

WookeyHole · 27/05/2022 21:27

[whispers] I don't actually like Jaffa Cakes

So I didn't really know what was in a Jaffa Cake but they were on bake off once and I felt inspired to try and make them. The sponge was easy enough but who the fuck in their right mind would enjoy trying to get chocolate to set on top of hot jelly. Bloody impossible and just not worth the effort when you can buy a packet for 99p.

The 20th is a clear day for me at the moment and I intend to keep it that way.
Shame we can’t all meet up in a pub and watch it live on a big screen.

Wouldn't that be great? Can you imagine?😀

SelfPortraitWithFoxInSmokingJacket · 27/05/2022 21:30

God, yes. Imagine the judgement being read out on a big screen. It would be worse than a penalty shoot-out.

Scorched · 27/05/2022 21:32

Well I think that Helen8220 has successfully demonstrated that the patriarchy and male privilege are still going strong

ifIwerenotanandroid · 27/05/2022 21:32

Can't remember who said AH's re-examinations were boring. I found interest in the contrast between the way some witnesses behaved when answering BC & answering AH.

(If it'd been MNers we would've been gazing at BC & then asking him to repeat what he just asked us over & over &... - & then saying, "Oh yeah, whatever," to anything AH said.)

toastfairy · 27/05/2022 21:34

That sounds like my kind of party

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 27/05/2022 21:37

We'd also need a giant chat box and a giant keyboard and giant hooks to hoik people away from the keyboard.

"But I just have to tell AHr he still has Twitter all wrong"

Inspired by your name, can anyone tell me why the person who produced the bundle hasn't been told to sort it out by 20th June?

IIRC all 3 legal teams are (liaising & ) producing some chronological thing for EJ. Is that right? Is it an index to the bundle?

OnlyLosersTakeTheBus · 27/05/2022 21:48

Pimp that snack - well remembered.

No worries, ESViper. I just didn't want this interesting thread to be derailed when that topic can be discussed elsewhere. Revenons a nos support moutons.🐑🐑🐑

<thumbs up>

It's easy to start slipping into partisanship - hopefully we can all be friends even if we have differing views on pronouns.

Thank you everybody on both sides for keeping it at diplomatic levels.

Now, Re jaffa cakes- very nice, but the Queen of biscuits is, of course, the Mint Viscount.

Shame we can’t all meet up in a pub and watch it live on a big screen.

We need a room of requirement that is roughly the size of a pub with a garden where it's guaranteed not to rain.

We can watch it live on screen with wrens performing live and snacks of our choice. We can have real live drinking games for every reference to a phrase that has come to mean so much to us.

The Bluestocking Arms, of course, would be ideal.

What!

You lightweights - depending on the flavour I would wrest a fairy cake from the jaws pf the cat without a second thought.

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 27/05/2022 22:07

BC said that he was planning to produce a new bundle as part of his written submission that was in chronological order and it was probably too much to hope that they could produce an agreed bundle and EJG would probably end up with three versions.

And AH interjected to say that this case has been one of great and an unusual amount of co-operation between counsel and he's sure that they can produce an agreed bundle between the three legal teams - one that is better indexed and in the right order at least.

I think AH is remembering fondly of when he couldn't log in and Ben rang him to check all was ok.

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 27/05/2022 22:10

I genuinely feel like these are my mates now. I felt a bit like that when I was made redundant and listened to Brexitcast every day and then met Chris Mason at at Any Questions live broadcast and told him I felt like he was my actual friend (he was lovely by the way and didn't run away screaming from the mad stalker).

ifIwerenotanandroid · 27/05/2022 22:10

@EmbarrassingHadrosaurus
I take it there will be some kind of charabanc to take us home after all that drinking? Or will we just slump to the floor until we wake the next afternoon morning?

What are the drinking words & phrases going to be?

I dunno about you, but if one of my juniors has repeatedly ballsed up what should be a straightforward admin task, and made me look really stupid in front of all of mumsnet, I probably wouldn't be over-keen on them having another stab at it.
