My husband calls bullshit. "How can you operate as a workplace without some form of hierarchical structure?"

NancyDrawed · 26/05/2022 16:01

SH : Everybody's view is taken into account

???

Except AB's it would seem

nauticant · 26/05/2022 16:01

SH is suggesting there's no "class system" in GCC based on who is a silk and who is a junior. I simply don't believe this.

EmpressaurusWitchDoesntBurn · 26/05/2022 16:01

IDidntKnowItWasAParty · 26/05/2022 15:59

I missed it - why did SH edit the version of AB's explanation before sending to CM at Bar Council?

I'm not watching, but someone said upthread that SH sent CM 'what she thought she wanted to see'.

I expect SH knew exactly what CM wanted to see.

ifIwerenotanandroid · 26/05/2022 16:01

EmpressaurusWitchDoesntBurn · 26/05/2022 15:59

Mr Cook?

A previous witness.

tabbycatstripy · 26/05/2022 16:02

Not GCC, quite, but MB suggested this was the view.

Boiledbeetle · 26/05/2022 16:02

@Mmmnotsure i think AH is asleep

ickky · 26/05/2022 16:02

To get to the right outcome = Burn the Witch.

BeBraveLittlePenguin · 26/05/2022 16:02

Every bloody chambers is a hierarchical structure - every single one.

chilling19 · 26/05/2022 16:02

God, this woman just cannot stop talking can she?

TheBiologyStupid · 26/05/2022 16:02

TheBiologyStupid · 26/05/2022 15:54

SH has just switched sides on my screen and I'd swear her nose has grown in the last few minutes!

She's back on the left-hand side again now, and the Pinocchio effect is still there.

Mmmnotsure · 26/05/2022 16:02

SH: In GCC silks don't pull rank. Everyone is Equal unless they are a black GC lesbian whose views we don't agree with

Mollyollydolly · 26/05/2022 16:02

Let her keep talking Ben she's so unconvincing.

nauticant · 26/05/2022 16:03

I think the "lack of a hierarchy" in GCC is that with their progressive values they identify it being so, while it isn't, and this enables them not to see it being present.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 26/05/2022 16:03

Mr Cook

Colin Cook, GCC Chief Clerk, as the court took a break from him giving evidence stood up and said "fucking hell" while his mic/camera was on.

IDidntKnowItWasAParty · 26/05/2022 16:03

'Maya Sikand is fiercely independent, won't do what other people tell her' .............. unless it's me, and I want to amend her report with material that I've commissioned from the Bar Council Ethis Committee by giving them material edited to elicit the response I wanted...........

Boiledbeetle · 26/05/2022 16:03

oh I was busy

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 26/05/2022 16:03

Logged in and immediately had a bingo.

Crazylazydayz · 26/05/2022 16:03

chilling19 · 26/05/2022 16:03

I am busyeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Mmmnotsure · 26/05/2022 16:03

Did we have a case in Sri Lanka on the bingo card?

Birdsweepsin · 26/05/2022 16:03

I'm soooooo busy all the time donchaknow

GAHgamel · 26/05/2022 16:03

"I don't recollect" and "I was on a big case" bingo!

FacebookPhotos · 26/05/2022 16:03

"Didn't check emails" - time to drink!

tabbycatstripy · 26/05/2022 16:03

They relied for their arguments on some people being junior and not having a lot of influence, but they deny that some people are senior enough to have more influence. Hmm.
