"And then Get the L Out protested at 'Pride in London' (London Pride is a beer Michelle) and obviously lesbians are an affront to decent society."

So, what are the odds of me getting kicked out if I log in to the tribunal tomorrow as LondonPrideIsABeer ?

WallaceinAnderland · 25/05/2022 17:57

I'm now using it for my bank card

Don't do that, it's the same for everyone.

Artichokeleaves · 25/05/2022 17:59

Just caught up. Thank you for the threads and commentary!

Main take away from today.... Flipping Heck.

Come to us for all your Equality Barristering Needs...We loathe women, think homosexuality is a crime equivalent to apartheid, don't understand Equalities law and remember absolutely nothing.

😣

Brilliant threads as ever Vipers. :)

(Wine opened some time ago here also).

Motorina · 25/05/2022 18:01

They don't understand GDPR either, based on the last witness. Ho hum.

awkwardoldlady · 25/05/2022 18:01

thanks everyone but especially ickky. I'm sure it is not a pleasure for Alison, but i think it was / is so useful to get people saying this stuff (almost clearly) under oath.

Utterly incredible stuff.

Boiledbeetle · 25/05/2022 18:02

@Artichokeleaves that's a fair summary!

MsFogi · 25/05/2022 18:03

Is the member of GCC who is trans going to be called as a witness/already been called?

Please do this. I'm in bloody leadership and management training all day so I won't see you being virtually manhandled out of the tribunal though.

SunnyLobelia · 25/05/2022 18:06

And inncase Allison or her supporters are lurking and feeding back- Allison you are a total Goddess. How the hell you mamaged to deal with such open hostility and rage and undermining and basically deal with all that shit that was thrown your way.... You are extraordinary.

Thanks
SunnyLobelia · 25/05/2022 18:07

Pls excuse typos. Support wine in one hand and support cat in way of laptop on lap.

If it is the door tenant I think you mean then I think the answer is no to both questions.

If ever the cinematic cliche of speeding-up calendar pages blowing past was justified, that will be the DdM segment of the film.

<scene cuts back to the tribunal. Panel members and barristers can be seen snoring gently, festooned with cobwebs in a Sleeping Beautyesque bower while a soporific voice drones...ever...more...slowly. A support wren [unashamedly bigs up own part] flies into shot and cheeps gently in BC's ear, whereupon he groggily stirs and braces himself to ask the next question>

Brilliant. I vote we get you to direct it. I want to do the screenplay.

Datun · 25/05/2022 18:11

Placemarking

Nothing to add, except whoever wrote Mr Hochause

r

Is a bloody genius. Actually made me laugh out loud.

Perfect. I pictured it like the teaching scene in Ferris Bueller with all the comatose or sleeping people listening to the droning.

We also need to add in a montage of women all of the country hunting down the backs of their sofas and in the nooks and crannies of their cars for crowd funding money - and then going online (I am picturing at least one in a full dinosaur costume, but recognise this might be tricky with the keyboard and their little t-Rex arms)

I doubt it. The male sexed trans individuals (is that allowed) rarely do sunlight.

As with what we saw at the beginning of the trial. The female sexed trans individuals are the "fall guys".

Because they are guys.

It's a bit rich AH complaining about the mispronunciation of his name when poor old DdM got every single variation of de Menezes you could imagine, mostly with far too few syllables, and Hochhauser has been misnamed once in the whole thing.

I was thinking his grumpy barrister persona was an act and now I think it isn't.

CriticalCondition · 25/05/2022 18:32

Sitting here with my support crisps and G&T wondering if GCC implodes after all this whether a new set or sets will emerge from the ashes. I know it's not a partnership in a legal sense but this case must have created some very deep divisions and the hearing has exposed some pretty unpalatable attitudes to say the least. GCC will be synonymous with those whatever the outcome. I wouldn't be surprised if there isn't an exodus and management aren't contemplating a re-branding/re-naming if nothing else.

BenCoopersSupportWren · 25/05/2022 18:33

Yes! A woman finds a pound coin in a discarded supermarket trolley and punches the air: “yes! One for Allison!” Another woman checks the pockets of jackets about to go to the charity shop and finds a fiver: “that’s this month’s donation to the crowd funder sorted” etc etc. Each scene intercut with the dinosaur becoming more and more frustrated and then finally - in the immortal words of the viper who roundly put a wannabe mansplainer in his place on a long-ago thread about IT - resorting to bashing the keyboard with her tits.

Boiledbeetle · 25/05/2022 18:35

The one, and so far only one, problem with the film/Netflix mini series is what happens when those in the film get to the bits where we are writing about the film?

Do they do that crossing the barrier thing and look directly into the camera and Ben says "and how did that work out for you?" The problem is that line was from Mayas tribunal!.

SidewaysOtter · 25/05/2022 18:35

And one of those cinematic devices where the total raised is overlaid on the screen picture and you see the number ratchet up and up.

Boiledbeetle · 25/05/2022 18:37

@CriticalCondition this could still be the death of them!

To think this all started because they were concerned about their reputation, and now they are literally going theo be written about in history books for being on the wrong side of history!

Meh! Serves them right quite frankly!

awkwardoldlady · 25/05/2022 18:48

For people who claim to be all about the human rights they've not got a firm grip on sex or sexual orientation (or race) as protected characteristics have they?
