Well clearly this is excellent news and means that we can have a sequel to the film.

Anyone who is in or around Ilkley, West Yorkshire in October might like to go to hear Leslie Thomas KC present 'a blistering argument for a level playing field in the pursuit of justice'. This is part of Ilkley Literature Festival 7-23 October and is on Saturday 15 Oct - Leslie Thomas has written a book entitled 'Do Right and Fear No One'. I make no comment.

For those who didn't follow the tribunal closely, Mr Thomas is a barrister at Garden Court Chambers and was called to give evidence at Allison Bailey's tribunal.

Please, please, women within hitting distance of Ilkley, do go and ask awkward questions.

Please don't do this, no one should be harassed.

Please don't do this, no one should be harassed.

Answering sensible and somewhat challenging questions isn't harassment.

"What, to you, are the most important aspects of friendship, mentorship, and leadership? How ought a fearless, ethical person behave when these collide in one's professional life?"

It's hardly, "For the sake of all your clients, do you have designated Christmas shopping days this year?" or "Have your chambers now implemented, and not just installed, the running audit you need to mitigate the sexism in your set?"

BIWI · 22/09/2022 09:35

How on earth is asking awkward questions 'harassment'?!

Or are we now back to telling women to #bekind?

People who put themselves forward as giving 'a blistering argument' surely must be expecting some challenges from the audience, surely?

BIWI · 22/09/2022 09:36

Sorry for the surelys. Just don't call me Shirley ...

Listen Shirley Grin

I just thought it sounded very similar to the TRA call to arms.

Not sure that TRAs are keen on listening - unless it's to them, of course.
