Allison Bailey v Stonewall - Employment Tribunal hearing Thread 17

The Tribunal started on 25th April, witness testimony concluded on the 26th May. Closing arguments for council will be on the 20th June. I don't know if the existing links and pins will work. I will email nearer the time to check.

If you would like to view online you need to send a request for access.
Send an email to

The subject heading of the email request should read

“MEDIA OR PUBLIC ACCESS REQUEST – Case number 2202172/2020 - Ms A Bailey – 20th June 2022.

Then ask for the pin for the online access.

You will be contacted with instructions on how to observe the hearing.

When joining the live tribunal please choose a non inflammatory/offensive name, everyone can see it in the chat - This is a court room, please behave accordingly.

Enjoying BC's filleting of Garden Court's failures with respect to providing a proper response to Allison's Subject Access Request.

Ben - 'None of that makes any sense at all'... pretty much sums up GCCs whole case.

Yes, why would GCC renew when their original reason for joining was because they thought it would be a good revenue stream.

At a meeting with SW, GCC were concerned that the £3,000 fee didn't seem to be value for money.

After the meeting with SW prior to renewal, GCC understood that the benefits would only flow one way, towards SW.

So why would you renew?

Because withdrawing support for Stonewall means you've sided with the baddies and are thus abandoned to the tender mercies of the mob? AB was spot on with protection racket.

Oh I saw the bit now where Stonewall are attacking the Tribunal! Since I've asked about it on here, it's on paragraph 38 and 39 of their closing statement and... it looks counterproductive, but what the hell do I know. Are they threatening the EJ with potential grounds for appeal when claiming that she's been too lax with AB?

Oh good man, Ben I'm glad he's calling out their bloody childish rudeness in the closing submissions.

BC - Hostile animus to AB runs through SW and GCC's treatment of her like a message through a stick of rock. It includes the conduct of their defence and their snide closing submissions.

Just read the paragraphs now. Quite incredible. Blooming' cheek!

Moving few minutes spelling out that everything Allison said or did in support of her beliefs was interpreted through the lens of attacking Stonewall and GCC and that in itself was detrimental.

Ben seems to me to be cementing his reputation here.

I'm baffled about that also.

His pauses not only add to the impact of the delivery, they allow the judge to write it down verbatim.

They say it's to do partly with the times AB was allowed to amend her claim, even though she had top legal advice.

idk what we're allowed to say or paraphrase from the court documents but they're mad that she was allowed to submit a long autobiographical witness statement, and that the judge let her actually talk on the stand (they claim their witnesses in contrast were hurried up by the judge, but I don't think that corresponds with reality.)
