ickky · 03/06/2022 15:32

The Tribunal started on 25th April, witness testimony concluded on the 26th May. Closing arguments for council will be on the 20th June. I don't know if the existing links and pins will work. I will email nearer the time to check.

If you would like to view online you need to send a request for access.
Send an email to

[email protected]

The subject heading of the email request should read

“MEDIA OR PUBLIC ACCESS REQUEST – Case number 2202172/2020 - Ms A Bailey – 20th June 2022.

Then ask for the pin for the online access.

You will be contacted with instructions on how to observe the hearing.

When joining the live tribunal please choose a non inflammatory/offensive name, everyone can see it in the chat - This is a court room, please behave accordingly.

The court chat function is there for official court purposes, not for observers, please don't use it unless you have a technical issue.

On the first page underneath where you put your screen name, select the video and mic that are not crossed out (top option), this is the courts vid and mic.
On the next page select NONE on the drop down windows for vid and mic, these are your own video and mic.

You must be muted so as to not disturb the hearing.

There is also live tweeting from

@Pluvia I empathise with your feelings of regret but I think you have found your calling on here….I appreciate all your input on these boards and admire your knowledge and how you express yourself.

EmbarrassingHadrosaurus · 22/06/2022 18:33

Before we lose this thread, did I hallucinate seeing AH fulminating about Michelle Brewer driving into a bin? And somehow this was proof of her dedication to the cause, etc.? And we'd never heard about the bin before although we were absolutely familiar with driving along and taking a call with the children in the car? We only knew about the accident because Kirrin M mentioned it in an email to MB?

*speech and language - not specs

(See - I could even cock-up a bundle) 😂

Better than cocking up a beaver.

Maybe.

No. You're not hallucinating. He really did say that...bless his cotton socks.

I'd genuinely love to get to know him in real life!

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 22/06/2022 19:30

I actually know someone who knows him in real life. And most of the other characters barristers too.

Feministwoman · 22/06/2022 19:33

Having finally had the time to read AB Witness statement and Closing Submission in full, bloody hell.😳🙄🤬😢

GCC were really, really vile to her, weren't they. 🤬

Appalling, outrageous behaviour.

And that Closing Statement was amazing. Even though I was logged in for pretty well all of the Tribunal live, the nuances BC and team picked out, the flaws in SW and GCC evidence and under cross.

The contrast with AB under cross, also. So composed and dignified!

Just so, so good. She really does deserve to win I think (IANAL)

Can see why BC gets top notch rating.

Please say Burns actually wrote that!

He did indeed, vivarium: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cock_Up_Your_Beaver

Well, we never covered that in Higher English! 😄

Thanks for that reminder!
My (not usually great) education taught me that the poetry shelf is always the place to browse your cares away.

Our school librarian never censored the literature section of the library (one inherited from a local stately-home) - on grounds that books there (especially poetry books) would never be disturbed.

I remember an astonishing (quite dusty) book of limericks (as well as the complete Burns).

Do we want one last thread for musing purposes?

You can't leave that dangling, surely?

Yes yes yes!!!

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 22/06/2022 20:24

There's not much gossip, Pluvia. I know an employment lawyer who knows all the barristers in the case, some better than others.

If we have an after party for the film/ drama/ play/ musical, I'll ask him to invite them all.

Well, that version of 'Green Grow the Rushes Oh' is a wee bit different to the one I know! 😅

Thanks ickky
We'll need it for the verdict, I guess!

Just me who thought that we needed more casting discussions for the man spin-offs?

Redshoeblueshoe · 22/06/2022 20:55

Absolutely we need a new thread. Thanks ickky 🍷

Redshoeblueshoe · 22/06/2022 20:56

As this one is very very nearly full 😂
