'to avoid distasteful conduct'

It's not distasteful to me to call out people trying to pressure lesbians into sex with men.

Indeed, I make a virtue out of it 😀

chilling19 · 26/05/2022 15:38

SH - must carry on talking!!!

EJ interrupts.

SH carries on talking.

GAHgamel · 26/05/2022 15:38

SH getting arse kicked by EJG for time-wasting.

WallaceinAnderland · 26/05/2022 15:38

EJ stop waffling and answer the points. Pushed for time.

WookeyHole · 26/05/2022 15:38

Ooh. SH, back in your box. What did she mutter? Not yet?

Birdsweepsin · 26/05/2022 15:38

Oh that was gold!

Witness telling Counsel what to talk about; BC That's not how this works Miss Harrison

Mmmnotsure · 26/05/2022 15:38

BC: moving on

SH: No, before we do we need to look at....

BC: that isn't how it works

SH: I apologise, but tribunal please look at...

EJ: okay

LouiseBelchersBunnyEars · 26/05/2022 15:39

BC saying ‘that isn’t how this works/you know how this works’ was missing from the bingo card.

as was ‘we’re going to take this in stages’

TheBiologyStupid · 26/05/2022 15:39

SH telling EJ Goodman and the panel how to do their job. That'll go down well!

nauticant · 26/05/2022 15:40

I think this is going to get rather uncomfortable for SH. She's talking less for a start.

Boiledbeetle · 26/05/2022 15:40

I did my bit for feminism by showing men that women were perfectly able a mans jobs.

of course I did that within a framework of wandering hands, misogynistic comments, false assumptions about my sexual choices and likes and the assumption I would be sleeping my way up the ladder.

But I did my bit. It was infuriating and slow, but I knew I had to do it for the future generation.

Allison is my generation, she has likewise done her bit. She shouldn't have to still be fighting all this shit in 20 bloody 22!

ickky · 26/05/2022 15:40

So SH asked for guidance from CM and then directed CM on what to find.

GCC staff should be ashamed. They are all about equality etc etc, but have treated a colleague disgracefully.

WallaceinAnderland · 26/05/2022 15:41

Why say it once when you can say it 5 times

Chrysanthemum5 · 26/05/2022 15:42

@Boiledbeetle I feel exactly the same. I fought the sexism in my family that education was wasted on girls and I established my career despite the put downs and sexism and the wandering hands. And I am fucked off that I am now having to fight this

tabbycatstripy · 26/05/2022 15:42

She nearly said 'That was my purpose in approaching Ms McGahey' didn't she?

I do not believe her version of how it happened to be CM who gave the guidance, and she just happened to be a grand high priestess of transactivism.

Mollyollydolly · 26/05/2022 15:42

This will be interesting. Not provided Allison's response seems diabolical to me.

Pyjamagame · 26/05/2022 15:42

Her face is rather redder now.

SidewaysOtter · 26/05/2022 15:42

"That's not how this works."

Translation: "I get to ask the questions here!"

WallaceinAnderland · 26/05/2022 15:43

Oh Lordy! Everything was based on a Times article

WookeyHole · 26/05/2022 15:43

She didn't engage with it carefully nor send to CM because MS was the one providing the info. So she didn't consider AB's response because that wasn't her role. WTAF.

nauticant · 26/05/2022 15:43

Great, SH is blaming Maya Sikand for not providing the material to give to McGahey.

Mmmnotsure · 26/05/2022 15:43

SH: It's MS's fault as to what was or wasn't sent to the bar council. I was dependent on Maya to send me what or wasn't relevant.

VaginaRegina · 26/05/2022 15:43

One thing I am very much enjoying is the appalled silence from SH and other witnesses when BC says: "So you confirm xyz?" "Yes" "So now may I direct your attention to the email/screenshot etc at page blah of the bundle?" and they realise they have just contradicted themselves.
