Just linked MB and DDM’s actions I think.

WookeyHole · 26/05/2022 11:41

17th October MB sent a screenshot of a tweet to David (?) and it's not in her WS.

CriticalCondition · 26/05/2022 11:41

MB is such a dominating figure I can't see how the tribunal could fail to see how she influences stuff even if the written trail is gappy. She's like a steamroller. She's been talking over the judge in this hearing FFS. Members and staff in chambers haven't a hope of standing up to her.

GAHgamel · 26/05/2022 11:41

How come this email she's just mentioning wasn't included in the original disclosure?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 26/05/2022 11:41

She must have been so devastated by the appeal ruling in Maya’s case.

All these activist lawyers were. Renton wrote his silly blog about it.

nauticant · 26/05/2022 11:41

I've often had the same thought RoaringtoLangClegintheDark. After the ET had thrown out Maya Forstater's case, initially, as no case to answer, all the trans activists took this as an invitation to declare open season on gender critical women and for a couple of years it was relentless. Barristers like MB went along with the herd and must have realised that the appeal decision reversed things so completely that those attacking MF and her fellow gender critical women beause of their views had actually been the bigots all along.

Chrysanthemum5 · 26/05/2022 11:41

MB keeps forgetting that she doesn't use Twitter

WallaceinAnderland · 26/05/2022 11:41

BC did you attempt to convince Mia Haki-Law and David de Menezes to help organise action against AB.

Waffle, waffle, can't remember, why would I do that, waffle, waffle, can't remember.

MB Declares checked her phone today and found message not disclosed due to error

VaginaRegina · 26/05/2022 11:41

GussieGrips (Elaine Miller), Sarah Phillimore, Ann Sinnott, Sonia Sodha all in the room. Plus, interestingly, Jon Holbrook, who the Bar Standards Board had to climb down to after imposing disciplinary measures.

WookeyHole · 26/05/2022 11:42

I have to go to the dentist. If anyone can make sense of anything over the next hour, please let me know.

ResisterRex · 26/05/2022 11:43

If you give a "why would I do that", non-answer answer, and at the end, there are loads of unexplained gaps, will that aid AB?

We just had a "I'm not on Twitter". Yep. We got that.

Zeugma · 26/05/2022 11:44

Another tinkly little laugh. It’s a real 'tell'.

Boiledbeetle · 26/05/2022 11:44

allison is involved with org thought to be transphobic. not not my me. oh no!

WallaceinAnderland · 26/05/2022 11:44

Morgan Page tweet - please go there Ben. Let's hear her views.

Mmmnotsure · 26/05/2022 11:44

So MB goes down and speaks to people, including other barristers and clerks. So much for the no gossip/everyone in their own box/only football.

BC: You were talking to MHL and DdM.
MB: But why would I need to do that?

The question was did or didn't you. Her answer is a why would I? Slippery, over and over.

AB: I don't consider LGB Alliance transphobic

Mmmnotsure · 26/05/2022 11:45

NO! MB said she didn't consider LGB transphobic! Sorry

SmallSoupcon · 26/05/2022 11:45

I had to switch off as I was drowning in waffle soup. Is any progress being made? It diesnt feel like it.

GAHgamel · 26/05/2022 11:45

"an organisation that's considered transphobic" BY WHO??

GrumpyMenopausalWombWielder · 26/05/2022 11:45

This tweet from Humza Yousaf is in relation to a meeting he has with the Scottish Refugee Council & covers concerns for female asylum seekers.

Link to tweet

"Thank you @scotrefcouncil for taking time to meet me & @ChrisStephens about concerns we collectively share about housing asylum seekers in hotels.

Worryingly told by SRC that conditions for asylum seekers haven't improved in recent months.

"I have huge concerns that vulnerable women in particular, some who may have been trafficked, are being accomodated with men & no consideration of they psychological impact that may have.

The hostile environment is costing lives, we need asylum powers in Scotland's hands."

Yousaf was the minister who pushed through the Hate Crime Bill in Scotland & who endured men who cross dress are covered for hate crime, but women were fair game.

Female refugees suffer trauma, and require female only spaces to help them recover from that trauma & keep them safe. But MB still thinks that's a bigoted view to hold.

chilling19 · 26/05/2022 11:45

Ooh, proof that she encouraged others to complain

Ereshkigalangcleg · 26/05/2022 11:45

She's really pearl clutching about the Morgan Page tweet.

FacebookPhotos · 26/05/2022 11:45

It's transphobic to make the choice to leave a marriage if your spouse has transitioned?

And homophobic, apparently. Never mind the fact that the law says a person has the right to decide to leave the marriage and that the government have refused to change the law. It seems to me (though I am biased) that MB is a True Believer, and thinks that anyone who disagrees is a dangerous bigot so it is fine to treat dissenters as the heretics they are.

chilling19 · 26/05/2022 11:46

MB - we know full well what the context is dear

Ereshkigalangcleg · 26/05/2022 11:47

It's worth remembering who Tara is.

ifIwerenotanandroid · 26/05/2022 11:47

The person currently being mentioned: is she a client? I don't get the impression that she is.
