MB's testimony was estimated as 3 hours PrelateChuckles but I expect that BC will carry on longer, he's building up his case here but it's a slow pursuit against a wily opponent.

TopKnotch · 26/05/2022 10:00

I'm so in love with Ben Cooper.

I know it's a long queue but I really really want him to be my friend 🤣

MB's brain is completely rotted by the gender kool-aid. Women do not matter to her whatsoever - certainly not vulnerable women with no choices. She is an utter disgrace.

MB is a judge and very high value to the community for which she presents herself as the warrior front.

WallaceinAnderland · 26/05/2022 10:01

Ben is pinning her down on how she views GC as transphobia in every instance.

This is pure gold. Go Ben.

TheBiologyStupid · 26/05/2022 10:02

Accepts the Birkenstocks remark was hers.

Shortpoet · 26/05/2022 10:02

What was that about Birkenstocks?

AlisonDonut · 26/05/2022 10:02

I don't even have Birkenstocks

tabbycatstripy · 26/05/2022 10:02

BC points out that women who use rape crisis centres will have experienced male violence and will be uncomfortable.

MB says she does understand that.

BC points out that in that discussion (GRA training) MB talks the GC concerns about male privilege in relation to growing up male etc.

BC then points out that MB says people who take that position are white academics in Birkenstocks. In the transcript MB rejects this idea of male privilege. MB is disparaging towards those women and says they are privileged.

nauticant · 26/05/2022 10:02

MB: GC women are white middle class etc and are not working class BAME women.

Boiledbeetle · 26/05/2022 10:02

WOW. she hates GC women

MB's brain is completely rotted by the gender kool-aid. Women do not matter to her whatsoever - certainly not vulnerable women with no choices. She is an utter disgrace.

I can't believe this person was a barrister and is a now a judge. I used to think that people who held these highly esteemed jobs had to have common sense at the very least, and were usually smarter than the rest of us.

How wrong I was.

Shortpoet · 26/05/2022 10:03

Ah, “White academics, with their Birkenstocks and their face in The Times”

Mollyollydolly · 26/05/2022 10:03

It is a religion isn't it, she's so passionate, she cannot see the other view at all. She was prejudiced against Allison because of her views. That's clear.

AlisonDonut · 26/05/2022 10:03

She was very frustrated that women were putting a spanner in her works, wanting these blessed single sex spaces...

tabbycatstripy · 26/05/2022 10:03

BC says her comments are prejudiced.

MB says she was expressing her frustration at the time. She was defending trans refugees of colour. GC feminists wouldn't recognise that some people don't have this white middle class privilege.

Zeugma · 26/05/2022 10:03

MB looking mighty uncomfortable now when having her sneering comments about white middle-class Birkenstock-wearing GC women quoted back to her.

Birdsweepsin · 26/05/2022 10:03

It's like Tunnocks teacakes, sales of Birkenstocks just doubled.

Roseglen84 · 26/05/2022 10:03

She's now using refugees as some sort of 'gotcha'....

WinterTrees · 26/05/2022 10:03

BC very nicely positioning himself nicely to bring the absolute hypocrisy of her treatment of Allison into the frame here...

TheBiologyStupid · 26/05/2022 10:03

Trans people of colour presumably trump a certain lesbian of colour....

Ereshkigalangcleg · 26/05/2022 10:04

That's a really stupid way to look at privilege.

PrelateChuckles · 26/05/2022 10:04

MB's horrific stuff about GC feminists being white privileged etc is expressing a real frustration that MB had at the time... that transpeople she was representing were POC and therefore.... (my conclusion?) the only reason anyone could be against self-id is because racism?

No MB, it's prejudice.

SmallSoupcon · 26/05/2022 10:04

Not to be a negative Nellie, but this feels like wading through treacle? Can anyone else see where this is going because it feels like MB is expressing her position effectively.

WookeyHole · 26/05/2022 10:04

Quite what % of TW are refugees of colour? This feels a bit niche, but I'm happy to be corrected.

nauticant · 26/05/2022 10:04

MB justifications for all of her bonkers views are based on the fact that she's represented "transwomen of colour who are refugees". Well, that's proportionate.
