Helleofabore · 24/05/2022 14:16

. Thank you ickky Flowers

nauticant · 24/05/2022 14:17

That was for User237845. CC's evidence will be mostly or completely about detriment 1.

User237845 · 24/05/2022 14:17

Thanks very much, nauticant.

ickky · 24/05/2022 14:17

Definitely Idris Elba for the film. CC does have a lovely voice.

SettingsO · 24/05/2022 14:18

He's disagreeing with Ben quite a lot

Mmmnotsure · 24/05/2022 14:19

Perhaps I don't understand clerking but how, in a chambers of c 200 barristers, can any one clerk, however senior, say everyone gets equal treatment from me. Especially as he is personally responsible for clerking the QCs. He must be superhuman.

SettingsO · 24/05/2022 14:06

I've only just managed to join this tribunal, and and I am thinking I've missed the best bits with the previous fella sounding so awful. This guy seems quite staid.

They mostly all seem to start off like that ..... until the questioning gets uncomfortable

tabbycatstripy · 24/05/2022 14:20

BC loves him. Look at his benevolent smile.

Appalonia · 24/05/2022 14:20

Saying he always rated A B highly.

ickky · 24/05/2022 14:21

I think I love him a bit, he seems lovely. <hopefully not the kiss of death, me saying he is nice>

Tiny violins?

Appalonia · 24/05/2022 14:21

Saying A B may be part of his family!

dworky · 24/05/2022 14:22

DOWN the neck, he gets it 😁

Birdsweepsin · 24/05/2022 14:22

It's hard being a clerk Mr Cooper

(Cue an upbeat musical number)

Ameanstreakamilewide · 24/05/2022 14:22

I was thinking the same, ickky - i hope we're not going to eat our words??

tabbycatstripy · 24/05/2022 14:22

I honestly don’t think the clerks did conspire against AB. Most of the Twitter storming must have seemed like bollocks to them, because it is.

Penguintears · 24/05/2022 14:23

I think he's coming across as straightforward and honest so far.

BemoreBen · 24/05/2022 14:23

I was reflecting over lunch about the behaviour of TW. I still can't get my head around it. Surely he knows the impact and impression of witness' attitude and behaviour while giving evidence - does he lack such self awareness that he didn't think that applied to him?

In comparison, after having read on here the admiration for Ben Cooper, I can now see for myself and join the club. Not in a "have all his babies" way, but for the calm, professional, methodical way he approaches his task. Also the amount of preparation he must have done as he is so on top of the materials. And the wonderful stare down the camera and the request for the witness to "answer the question". I've name changed in tribute.

LipbalmOrKnickers · 24/05/2022 14:23

Good god, a straight answer!

tabbycatstripy · 24/05/2022 14:24

This SHOULD be a musical.

I want Idris Elba for Colin Cook. Hugh Jackman for BC. Helen Mirren for EJG.

IDidntKnowItWasAParty · 24/05/2022 14:24

He says he wants ALL allocating of cases to go well, because if anything doesn't, he gets is down the neck

LipbalmOrKnickers · 24/05/2022 14:24

And belated thanks for new thread ickky

Penguintears · 24/05/2022 14:24

I don't know if this is due to my own ingrained prejudices but the fact that he took the oath made me instantly trust him more than the others.
