Well maybe if you don't understand, you shouldn't tweet about it. It's not difficult.

When was the Harry Millar case? I think that was 2019. Judge Knowles was well aware that TERF referred to a slur wasn't he. There is no way that all these people were unaware that TERF was a slur. Especially a trans activist like AS.

oviraptor21 · 25/05/2022 11:03

The ers and ums are becoming longer and more frequent.

LipbalmOrKnickers · 25/05/2022 11:03

I am dying. How is this man Director of Communications??

Ameanstreakamilewide · 25/05/2022 11:03

His voice is driving me mad, Zeguma. I'm dozing off.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 25/05/2022 11:04

Yes it was, and he was. I think the judgment was in early 2020

chilling19 · 25/05/2022 11:04

Shout out for Get the L Out 👏

Scorched · 25/05/2022 11:04

DDM didn’t know the word Terf was a slur.I find that hard to believe, you only have to read any sentence with TERF in it to get the meaning

tabbycatstripy · 25/05/2022 11:06

DdM witness statement makes his commitment to diversity and inclusion very clear. He is trying to distance himself from the reality that this commitment (carried out uncritically) represents partiality in the trans rights debate, and that he promoted this view on behalf of his employer. Disingenuous.

Also still very unclear who was responsible for signing off and then renewing the relationship with Stonewall? Didn’t the barristers hold marketing responsible for that? He suggests he was asked to do it by some of the barristers in the family team (but doesn’t name them).

StrongOutspokenOftenIrritating · 25/05/2022 11:06

I wish we could record this. Baby is falling asleep to it.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 25/05/2022 11:06

Yes it does if you are a corporate account, stop insulting people's intelligence.

Ameanstreakamilewide · 25/05/2022 11:06

Anything AS says is a-ok. 🤨

WallaceinAnderland · 25/05/2022 11:07

DDM agrees that GCC retweets a tweet calling lesbians transphobic in relation to Get the L Out.

LipbalmOrKnickers · 25/05/2022 11:07

I can't recall, it was (so very very very) long ago...

Zeugma · 25/05/2022 11:07

Please get this man some voice training. And while that’s happening, get the tribunal officials (apart from BC) onto a Twitter For Beginners course.

Signalbox · 25/05/2022 11:08

Ereshkigalangcleg · 25/05/2022 11:06

Yes it does if you are a corporate account, stop insulting people's intelligence.

It's laughable. The idea that they would have tweeted out something that they didn't agree with.

Pyjamagame · 25/05/2022 11:08

Is 'it was an email group' on the Bingo card?

ickky · 25/05/2022 11:08

BC: not a single account of any GC views on GCC twitter.

OP posts:
Ereshkigalangcleg · 25/05/2022 11:08

If you want to "start a debate" you need to say that in a quote tweet. You can't just retweet controversial things and expect people at large, your customers and potential customers, to think your corporate position is impartial. This needs to be picked up on if no one understands Twitter.

Pyjamagame · 25/05/2022 11:08

Use the search function, DMD!

Mmmnotsure · 25/05/2022 11:09

DdM: Neither I nor whoever it was in my marketing/communications team dealing with Alex Sharpe's tweet would have known what 'terf' meant [so we just carried on retweeting stuff]

The level of incuriousity among GCC staff - although only in specific areas - is astonishing.

BC: not a single example in GCC tweets mentioning/supporting GC views.

DdM: Don't know without doing serious analysis. [Wouldn't he have done this before coming to tribunal?]

WinterTrees · 25/05/2022 11:09

Oh god, I'm in for the first time but the stress of wondering if I'm audible and visible is IMMENSE. I want to boil the kettle but don't want to throw Ben off his stride, so am tiptoeing around like a criminal.

Signalbox · 25/05/2022 11:09

What's going on with DdM's eyes?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 25/05/2022 11:09

"Retweets are not endorsements" is a disclaimer that no one pays any attention to.

Pyjamagame · 25/05/2022 11:10

He's basically admitting that tweets are not GC because chambers was overwhelmingly TRA
