The Tribunal started on 25th April, witness testimony concluded on the 26th May. Closing arguments for council will be on the 20th June. I don't know if the existing links and pins will work. I will email nearer the time to check.

If you would like to view online you need to send a request for access.
Send an email to

[email protected]

The subject heading of the email request should read

“MEDIA OR PUBLIC ACCESS REQUEST – Case number 2202172/2020 - Ms A Bailey – 20th June 2022.

Then ask for the pin for the online access.

You will be contacted with instructions on how to observe the hearing.

When joining the live tribunal please choose a non inflammatory/offensive name, everyone can see it in the chat - This is a court room, please behave accordingly.

The court chat function is there for official court purposes, not for observers, please don't use it unless you have a technical issue.

On the first page underneath where you put your screen name, select the video and mic that are not crossed out (top option), this is the courts vid and mic.
On the next page select NONE on the drop down windows for vid and mic, these are your own video and mic.

You must be muted so as to not disturb the hearing.

There is also live tweeting from

Important points about SW diversity scheme being designed to stop people expressing GC views and likely to be subject to discrimination.

LeniGray · 20/06/2022 16:28

Interesting watching EJG’s facial expressions when BC was on about agency - eyebrow movement suggested being slightly pleased or impressed, or having a tiny internal ‘ah hah!’ moment 🤔

dunBel · 20/06/2022 16:29

"The claimant has engaged in effective advocacy on Twitter of the beliefs that she holds... Her tweets must be judge in the light of legitimate advocacy on twitter on a matter of public importance"

LipbalmOrKnickers · 20/06/2022 16:29

Pluvia · 20/06/2022 16:24

I think some really important stuff being said in the last few minutes. If your employer is a diversity champion, and if Stonewall says that any misgendering is transphobic, and any expression of concern regarding gender ideology is transphobic, a GC person is denied their right to express their beliefs — and that's a detriment and discriminatory. Did I hear that correctly?

Yes Pluvia - I think BC is doing good work here.

WomensLandArmy · 20/06/2022 16:29

Flipping cheek re BC and timing.

WomensLandArmy · 20/06/2022 16:30

Respondents not to bang on in reply!

dunBel · 20/06/2022 16:31

Oh no, IO wants to reply, as well as AH. EJG requests they do so "in short punchy bullet points" and suggests "a couple of sentences if possible"

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 20/06/2022 16:31

EJG is so long suffering

Martin Reuby has a meeting at 5 so we're on the home run now.

oviraptor21 · 20/06/2022 16:31

EJ asking respondents to restrict their further responses to a couple of sentences - punchy bullet points.
Maybe she is unimpressed with their earlier verbosity!

FacebookPhotos · 20/06/2022 16:31

It is flipping cheeky of the respondents to get arsey about needing time to respond when they took forever to make their points earlier!

chilling19 · 20/06/2022 16:32

IO has a cheek, given she took more time that she should have this morning.

LipbalmOrKnickers · 20/06/2022 16:32

BC makes the point that everyone has exchanged written submissions & had their time already!

oviraptor21 · 20/06/2022 16:33

I do feel they (especially IO) stretched out their closing statements to fill as much time as possible. Although it does seem that AH didn't quite estimate his timing as well as he could in order to finish with a suitable flourish.

chilling19 · 20/06/2022 16:33

BC -women have had to exercise considerable courage.Yes.

tigertactics · 20/06/2022 16:33

Chrysanthemum5 · 20/06/2022 16:17

If wonder if BC will manage to bring the closing round to Russian grain or your contract with a plumber? If not then that just shows he's not as good as RMW

🤣 Exactly. Imo he's missing a trick by not repeatedly and aggressively asking EJ if she understands and patronisingly testing her every now and then on legal definitions. All top lawyers do this as standard.

LipbalmOrKnickers · 20/06/2022 16:35

They should have had timings, shouldn't they - it seems unfair that IO and AH could just ramble on and then BC has to reply to both with minimal breaks in one go.

dworky · 20/06/2022 16:35

Just when you think you can't admire him more 😊

Mollyollydolly · 20/06/2022 16:36

Does anyone know what Ben's big artwork is .. I shall miss it.
I could listen to Ben all day.

oviraptor21 · 20/06/2022 16:36

RE. why 13(?) respondents were dropped?

Required to protect their position. Identified from the documents as having played some part in AB's detriment.
Claimant has now heard evidence of witnesses and could have left to tribunal to decide. But has reflected on evidence and withdrawn claim against those less likely to be responsible and she should be given credit for that.

oviraptor21 · 20/06/2022 16:37

They were initially allowed 1hr45 each. I believe they had each had a small run on and BC has also.

SpinningRoundRightRound · 20/06/2022 16:37

Back from hospital. I'll never catch up 'live' but thanks for the thread so I can read through later and get the flavour. I really appreciate everyone posting their thoughts.

CriticalCondition · 20/06/2022 16:38

BC - AB should be given credit for and not criticised for reflecting on the evidence and withdrawing the inferential case against some individuals.

oviraptor21 · 20/06/2022 16:39

BC just checking his WhatsApp group ....

tigertactics · 20/06/2022 16:39

Keep going Mr Ben. Lol. One minute each left for Hocky and IO.

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 20/06/2022 16:40

Argh. Mr Reuby has to drive 15 minutes to a meeting. 6 minutes to go then.
