"transpeople are rapists"

seems to have actually been ‘A man who says he’s a lesbian is a rapist’
The flyer states: ‘The trans movement is… coercing lesbians to have sex with men. We firmly condemn this vicious form of anti-lesbianism disguised as progress.’
Lesbian activist: ‘Only women can be lesbians’
Speaking to Gay Star News, Jan Williams from Object said: ‘Transgenderism is conversion therapy. Conversion therapy is wrong.’

www.gaystarnews.com/article/lesbian-activists-protest-against-trans-women-pride-london/

Given her visceral reaction to Get the L Out protest, it makes sense she went in hard against Allison as she sees her views expressed - especially on the cotton ceiling - as an extension of this.

This was a good line of Qs by BC to draw her out on.

The TRWG didn't really exist - "the aspirational TRWG".

Jo Phoenix on the guest list :-)

www.gaystarnews.com/article/lesbian-activists-protest-against-trans-women-pride-london/

It's the interpretation of the reporter on the video at the bottom of 'someone' shouting out 'A man who says he’s a lesbian is a rapist’, literally as the segment cuts to go back to the original interviewee. No video. No audio. No record.

She's (deliberately) misremembering. Handy that the article is still up really. Wonder how long that will last?

tabbycatstripy · 26/05/2022 10:40

BC says there's a difference between an objective and how successful someone is in achieving it.

EJ intervenes on the time.

Notorious "office wanker" , Jess Bradley, mentioned in that email.

(Jess filmed herself masturbating her penis at her desk)

'This has really been an insight into legal Britain - and it is shocking and terrifying and depressing and galvanising in equal measure.'

Hasn't it just.

It has really shone a light on how the TRA position got entrenched. You kind of assume that intelligent, highly educated people have finely honed critical thinking skills. This just isn't the case. At all.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 26/05/2022 10:42

I'd forgotten "Carter-Fuck" Grin

WallaceinAnderland · 26/05/2022 10:42

Not fair to put time pressures on Ben now. Very important witness. He's going to have to hurry her now.

Mmmnotsure · 26/05/2022 10:42

Time.
It would seem we need far more time with MB (and perhaps with SH). GCC and Stonewall have done a good job over the past weeks with their various behaviour in limiting the time for the potentially most important witnesses.

ickky · 26/05/2022 10:42

Around 370 observers at the moment.

tabbycatstripy · 26/05/2022 10:43

BC moves on to TRWG in 2018 (the second effort). Says it was clearly more than an email group in GCC. Set up for marketing and business development.

MB says her intention was to build individuals' capacity for litigation.

IloveHolby · 26/05/2022 10:39

This needs to be shown in the film/ Netflix series. While MB talks cuts to women watching open mouthed, all work stopped....

Like that scene in 'The Producers' where they cut to the audience and they’re ALL sitting there in total open-mouthed disbelief…..

It's been saved in the wayback machine 34 times.

awkwardoldlady · 26/05/2022 10:44

Did anyone else think that the judge was interjecting quite helpfully there?

Move on to the detriments... Don't run out of time

Boiledbeetle · 26/05/2022 10:44

am i getting screen fatigue or is she not looking like she is feeling quite as bright and in charge as she was when she started?

tabbycatstripy · 26/05/2022 10:45

BC asks her about the Stonewall period, trying to establish MB's centrality to the trans rights agenda at GCC.

ickky · 26/05/2022 10:45

MB really annoyed (no one else did much) that chambers didn't embrace the Trans Rights Working Group.

OP posts:
TheBiologyStupid · 26/05/2022 10:46

Onto MB's links with Stonewall.

Boiledbeetle · 26/05/2022 10:46

Oh God....I've just thought... is Ben going to be having the Cotton Ceiling conversation again today?

dworky · 26/05/2022 10:46

FFS, can she answer a question without the whole background?

IloveHolby · 26/05/2022 10:46

I have to go out now. I always end up missing some completely mental bat-shittery from the witnesses when I go out, so no doubt there will be some more from MB while I'm gone

EmbarrassingHadrosaurus · 26/05/2022 10:46

Handy that the article is still up really. Wonder how long that will last?

I had a quick look at just the one archive site and it's been saved 35 times there so there'll always be a record no matter what.

Ben is quite meandering. I think the judge is wise to keep him on track.
