OMG DdM is flat out lying about how twitter works.

MythicalReasonableTwitterUser · 25/05/2022 14:32

He doesn't know that replies appear in the timeline of all their followers...... this is the guy in charge of GCC's twitter..... can this be real....

TopKnotch · 25/05/2022 14:32

I have just snorted my way from p11. I hope these threads are kept forever!

I can't tell you how much the injustice of being deemed to be worth paying a hell of a lot less than all these GCC witnesses undoubtedly are rankles. I have never ever been so incompetent as this shower in my working life and yet they're all out there!

ickky · 25/05/2022 14:32

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 25/05/2022 14:27

I counted. I'm sad like that.

Me too. I counted how many were visible on screen, then using the little wheel on the mouse, I counted how many pages and then x it. 😀

MissPollysFitDolly · 25/05/2022 14:32

OMG, what is he waffling on about? He's lying about how twitter works!

TastefulRainbowUnicorn · 25/05/2022 14:32

Can Twitter actually be this difficult? I don't even have an account but I've figured out basic mechanisms and conventions by reading there, better than this highly paid Head of Marketing.

I must be a genius. 😂

Pyjamagame · 25/05/2022 14:33

Shoutout to Beckibabe

LipbalmOrKnickers · 25/05/2022 14:33

His answers are so hesitant and repetitive and waffling that I am having genuine difficulty following them.

Mollyollydolly · 25/05/2022 14:32

Can't believe he doesn't understand how 'reply' works on twitter.

He works in Comms. They don’t really use social media. That’s why they only tweet 1500 times a year.

WallaceinAnderland · 25/05/2022 14:33

What is the point of @ ing someone on twitter if you don't want intend them to see your tweet. Head explodes.

Boiledbeetle · 25/05/2022 14:33

Chrysanthemum5 · Today 14:31

Poor DdM he's burnt his bridges with the TRAs by saying he has some sympathy with Allison. And the Mumsnet vipers don't like him. Maybe he has a cat who is very fond of him

Nah!! Cats are more discerning

Signalbox · 25/05/2022 14:33

Might have known the lying lawyer was involved in some way.

katmarie · 25/05/2022 14:34

if you @ someone on twitter, they get a notification telling them they have been tagged. How is this not understood by even the most novice twitter user? This guy is marketting, right? He should be a fucking social media expert.

For several years I tuned into R4 just before 8am to listen to the weather. The weather report would start, then finish, without my having heard a word of it. DDM is sliding off my brain a bit like this. So thank you to people here who are managing to report on what is happening.

I have the same response to weather reports. Also Geordie le Forge in Star Trek TNG, so much so that in our house it's known as the Geordie le Forge Effect.

Zeugma · 25/05/2022 14:34

He just said he can’t recall exactly how Twitter works??????? Did I hear that correctly?

WinterTrees · 25/05/2022 14:34

The level of ignorance about Twitter is utterly staggering. And, in this day an age, pretty inexcusable in anyone who engages with it as this lot seem to do, and sets such store by it.

WomensLandArmy · 25/05/2022 14:34

There's many things about all this that defy logic David

Pyjamagame · 25/05/2022 14:33

Shoutout to Beckibabe

Not him again? Finger in every pie. Wouldn't surprise me if Haddock was one of the others

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 25/05/2022 14:35

"That defies logic" - that being someone in a Twitter chain seeing a later reply.

LipbalmOrKnickers · 25/05/2022 14:35

Pyjamagame · 25/05/2022 14:31

I might be acquainted with Uncle Tom 😏

MIght you now Pyjama? 😉

CriticalCondition · 25/05/2022 14:35

Ooh, the twitter handle of an extremely well known TRA lawyer just got a mention.

WallaceinAnderland · 25/05/2022 14:35

FFS why don't they just test it in court and send a tweet 😂

Mmmnotsure · 25/05/2022 14:35

DR: I can't recall how Twitter works

Pyjamagame · 25/05/2022 14:35

He's missed his vocation in life as an NHS sleep consultant.
