The Tribunal started on 25th April at 10am. If you would like to view online you need to send a request for access as early as possible.

Send an email to

[email protected]

The subject heading of the email request should read

“MEDIA OR PUBLIC ACCESS REQUEST – Case number 2202172/2020 - Ms A Bailey – 25th April 2022.

Then ask for the pin for the online access.

You will be contacted with instructions on how to observe the hearing.

When joining the live tribunal please choose a non inflammatory/offensive name, everyone can see it in the chat - This is a court room, please behave accordingly.

The court chat function is there for official court purposes, not for observers, please don't use it unless you have a technical issue.

On the first page underneath where you put your screen name, select the video and mic that are not crossed out (top option), this is the courts vid and mic.
On the next page select NONE on the drop down windows for vid and mic, these are your own video and mic.

You must be muted so as to not disturb the hearing.

No, @drwitch , BC isn't on Twitter.

BIWI · 25/05/2022 10:37

Dropping in quickly to catch up. Away with family right now so only limited to short periods of time to follow, which is frustrating!

BemoreBen · 25/05/2022 10:38

Mr Twitter! LOL!

This technical talk is excruciating, like having to explain to my 85 year old mum that while I may not have spoken to my sibling on the phone for months, we WhatsApp nearly every day so I know what they're up to and she doesn't have to report it all back to me.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 25/05/2022 10:38

DDM in charge of social media has to think really carefully about how twitter works.

Yes, it's cringeworthy.

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 25/05/2022 10:39

He might be on Twitter under an anonymous name but the Ben Cooper on Twitter isn't this Ben Cooper.

Gabcsika · 25/05/2022 10:39

Pyjamagame · 25/05/2022 10:37

I thought that if your handle was in a retweeted tweet it didn't pop up in your timeline, but in your notifications?

Yes. I think that changed. But it definitely used to.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 25/05/2022 10:39

It reminds me of when my gran excitedly told my mum that I had called her from a train.

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 25/05/2022 10:39

In fairness, the Twitter algorithms are secret and do change any only the geeks working for Twitter know how they work.

Rightsraptor · 25/05/2022 10:40

These people remind me of Jen in the IT Crowd who was head of Internet Whatever but had no idea what she was doing, to the extent of being duped about the 'Internet box' she proudly presented at a meeting.

LipbalmOrKnickers · 25/05/2022 10:40

Oh god this is agonising. Twitter 101. What a great use of time. 😕

Just thank your lucky stars she doesn't use WhatsApp, my mum recently embraced a new android phone. When I say embraced, I mean annoy me all the time on how it works.

And my other gran decided that all internet stuff was called EBay.

nauticant · 25/05/2022 10:41

I'm finding DDM's caution in replying to be completely understandable and reflects what I've seen when technical matters are discussed in court. I'm reading it simply as DDM, and BC, seeking to be precise.

Zeugma · 25/05/2022 10:41

This is like pulling teeth with a very small pair of eyebrow tweezers.

Theeyeballsinthefuckingsky · 25/05/2022 10:42

Sorry bwahahaha at the director of comms not understanding Twitter

pull the other one!!!

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 25/05/2022 10:43

BC referring to analytics and impressions. He's done his homework.

Lougle · 25/05/2022 10:43

I have a black screen and no sound - are we on a break?

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 25/05/2022 10:44

Lougle · 25/05/2022 10:43

I have a black screen and no sound - are we on a break?

No. Have you turned the audio and video feed off from the tribunal when you entered?

Chrysanthemum5 · 25/05/2022 10:44

No @Lougle sometimes you have to go out and come back in again

Shortpoet · 25/05/2022 10:44

Shout out to Tribunal Tweets!

Lougle · 25/05/2022 10:44

Finally in.

Chrysanthemum5 · 25/05/2022 10:44

Oh getting everyone to know the level of interest in the case good job BC

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 25/05/2022 10:44

Tribunal Tweets have 30 million impressions.

Well done Ben for getting that in. Nicely played. Judge wrote it down.

Birdsweepsin · 25/05/2022 10:45

DDM Annual Review

Boss: Ah David, thanks for coming. So, are you on top of all the FaceTwit and InstaTok?

DDM: You betcha!

Boss: Excellent. Have a £50k bonus

DDM Smiles and leaves

LipbalmOrKnickers · 25/05/2022 10:45

Jesus - BC: TT has approx 30 MILLION impressions for their tweets of these proceedings.

I bet GCC collectively just died a little inside. So much for limiting reputational damage.
