The quality of the understanding of twitter has improved considerably.

AH and EJ say that they cannot understand the new-fangled magic talk.

😂

LolaLouLou · 25/05/2022 10:33

Can I please check how you check your camera is off? I have put a plaster in front of the video butron but want to be sure?

WallaceinAnderland · 25/05/2022 10:33

Poor BC trying to explain twitter in words that 2 out 3 members of the panel and one QC will understand.

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 25/05/2022 10:33

He doesn't have a detailed knowledge of Twitter's algorithms but at least he admits that there are algorithms.

StrongOutspokenOftenIrritating · 25/05/2022 10:34

He doesn’t understand the algorithm? Is that not a significant part of his job.

tabbycatstripy · 25/05/2022 10:34

His witness statement is cagey too.

What device are you on and what settings did you join with? Camera - default or camera - none?

Zeugma · 25/05/2022 10:35

I find it absolutely incredible that in 2022 the absolute basics of Twitter have to be explained, and that DDM seems to be looking so uncertain as to what any of it means as the Director of Communications and Marketing

Chrysanthemum5 · 25/05/2022 10:35

So DDM is a communications specialist who doesn't really understand one the the main social media platforms?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 25/05/2022 10:35

I think it's critical for these people to learn the basic facts of how popular social media platforms work.

Mmmnotsure · 25/05/2022 10:36

Generally the panel don't use/not familiar with Twitter.
Would it not be appropriate nowadays for tribunals to ensure they fully understand modern forms of communication - this must be vital for many, many cases.

DdM: I don't have a detailed knowledge of Twitter's algorithms. They change.

This. Is. His. Actual. Job.

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 25/05/2022 10:36

At least Ben understands Twitter. Otherwise this could've been really painful.

drwitch · 25/05/2022 10:36

BC is not on twitter either is he?

@LolaLouLou either you will have 2 little icons to the left of the red phone call button which will be crossed out, or go up to the URL and click the padlock and it will show camera and microphone crossed out there.

Scorched · 25/05/2022 10:36

BBC a bit late to the party

Ereshkigalangcleg · 25/05/2022 10:36

Mr Twitter! Grin

MsMarvellous · 25/05/2022 10:36

'Mr Twitter' 🤣

LipbalmOrKnickers · 25/05/2022 10:37

Mr Twitter! 😁

nauticant · 25/05/2022 10:37

IO calls BC "Mr Twitter".

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 25/05/2022 10:37

Haha. IO just called BC Mr Twitter

😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣

Gabcsika · 25/05/2022 10:37

BC tediously explaining twitter to the tribunal.

Why do they not get training on social media platforms?

IDidntKnowItWasAParty · 25/05/2022 10:37

IO: "Mr Twitter" lol

WallaceinAnderland · 25/05/2022 10:37

DDM in charge of social media has to think really carefully about how twitter works.

Pyjamagame · 25/05/2022 10:37

I thought that if your handle was in a retweeted tweet it didn't pop up in your timeline, but in your notifications?
