BC getting Alice Sullivan’s absolute demolition of ‘men on the left’ in. Like it.

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 25/05/2022 10:11

He seems so stupid. Amazed he went to Oxford.

nauticant · 25/05/2022 10:11

As an aside, the chat has really settled down with nearly all of the comments being what the function is there for and the deviations rather harmless, for example the LOLing at CC's "fucking hell" yesterday. It's been good to see.

SelfPortraitWithFoxInSmokingJacket · 25/05/2022 10:12

Ha. Haven't caught up with thread but came in here to rage about how he felt violated and vulnerable because someone was disagreeing with him in his space. Maybe he should explain to the fox-killer that loud tutting doesn't always work?

User237845 · 25/05/2022 10:12

DR squirming as Alice's emailing defending Allison is read out. Like a fish on a hook. Little prick.

IDidntKnowItWasAParty · 25/05/2022 10:12

This is a GREAT email/letter to DR - telling him how misogynisitc the gender movement is, their tactics, and that he should support and stand by AB (from Prof Alice Sullivan I believe)

tabbycatstripy · 25/05/2022 10:12

He finds it hard to distinguish between two people he’s known for decades because one is called Alice and one is called Allison.

Don’t hire David Renton.

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 25/05/2022 10:13

He's finding it hard to distinguish between two women called Alice and Allison. Cos we're pretty much all the same us pesky women aren't we.

Birdsweepsin · 25/05/2022 10:13

I find it so hard to tell the difference between 'Alice' and 'Alison'. They all look the same don't they?

Appalonia · 25/05/2022 10:13

Wow he really missed the point of that email!

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 25/05/2022 10:13

Ha. Jinx tabby.

PrelateChuckles · 25/05/2022 10:13

DR thought AB's concerns over her livelihood were exaggerated because he knew better than her about what was going on (I paraphrase)

Mollyollydolly · 25/05/2022 10:13

It's interesting how much he's dialled back his demeanor/body language since last week. I know he couldn't discuss the case with people but presumably he could look at twitter/mumsnet (God forbid) if he wanted to. Maybe he realised how appallingly he came across. Not that what he's actually saying today is any better.

Mmmnotsure · 25/05/2022 10:13

Poor DR, gets a mental block distinguishing between two women because one is Alice and the other Allison and thinks (by his little laugh) that we will understand how difficult this must be for him.

More likely, they are both just women, so...

Signalbox · 25/05/2022 10:14

So he gets muddled between Alice and Allison.

He could easily misinterpret what Allison said on the phone when he was listening in to half of her conversations.

Chrysanthemum5 · 25/05/2022 10:14

I find it hard to tell the difference between DR, Owen Jones, Fox Killer etc - but that's more to do with their misogyny than anything else

Ameanstreakamilewide · 25/05/2022 10:14

JR objects. BC ignores.

😂

PrelateChuckles · 25/05/2022 10:15

What is it with these men that they can't understand the difference between a specific act and a culture? E.g. rape/rape culture, being fired/a hostile environment

tabbycatstripy · 25/05/2022 10:15

I find it hard to distinguish between beardy woke barristers, actually.

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 25/05/2022 10:15

"I was not hostile to the claimant"

StrongOutspokenOftenIrritating · 25/05/2022 10:15

I knew her livelihood wouldn’t be harmed.

obviously the fact is was is just coincidence then

EmpressaurusWitchDoesntBurn · 25/05/2022 10:16

David Renton struggles to distinguish between Alice and Allison? But I thought he was known for his attention to detail?

NonHypotheticalLurkingParent · 25/05/2022 10:16

I'm just getting a black screen with the message 'no one is presenting' I've cleared my cache and cookies but still no joy - what's next to try?!

ickky · 25/05/2022 10:16

Mollyollydolly · 25/05/2022 10:13

No you are not to look at anything regarding the case while under oath.

StrongOutspokenOftenIrritating · 25/05/2022 10:17

How does he know it was Allison on the phone? Perhaps she allowed another woman to use her desk. Interchangeable aren’t we?
