like a human sleeping tablet

I hope if the real Ian Hislop did tune in, the Eye quotes this

WallaceinAnderland · 25/05/2022 13:01

Continuing after lunch. Should be half an hour but more like 45 minutes at this rate.

LipbalmOrKnickers · 25/05/2022 13:01

Lunch til 2pm, another 30/45 mins with DDM then KC.

Boiledbeetle · 25/05/2022 13:01

Well that went well for DDM didn't it!!!!

oviraptor21 · 25/05/2022 13:01

Sill another 30-45 minutes for DdM - I bet his heart sunk at that!

Sadly I can't be here at the resumption or tomorrow either but shall be catching up whenever possible and back for the grand summing up on Friday.

WomensLandArmy · 25/05/2022 13:02

In other news, pukey child has managed to retain half a packet of plain crisps and is watching 'The Lorax'. The cub badge is now on the front of the jumper.

EJ with head in both hands listening to DDM

I am picturing Judge Judy at this description...

ickky · 25/05/2022 13:02

Surely someone at GCC (other than weaselly DR) will admit they found her views offensive. It is not credible that all the work they do on trans stuff and tweeting about terfs etc that they wouldn't have found her views offensive.

@ifIwerenotanandroid ha! No time for that this week. Shop bought! Just wanted to show that a photo does stand out from text comments!

Especially this close to lunchtime😁

Excellent multi-tasking WLA

JustWaking · 25/05/2022 13:05

Ooh, clever trap from BC! He listed 6-8 LGBT organisations and asked whether DdM was worrying about them wrt AB's tweets. DdM denied it - worrying about not showing too strong a position on LGBT - but in doing that ended up admitting that he was only worrying about Stonewall - which strengthens the case against Stonewall.

I haven't been able to watch much of this, but it's quite amazing.

Marvellous. Is IO panicking?

malloo · 25/05/2022 13:07

'So is it just stonewall'? Boom

Really pleased to see this spelled out. Don't know how others feel but I'm a bit concerned that while all this has made GCC look bad, there hasn't been much to pin it on Stonewall's influence? Worried that they will slither out of this. But I have only seen bits of it and didn't see the Stonewall witnesses being questioned.

Well, I suspect MB is going to find it very hard to maintain a neutral 'everyone is entitled to their views' type line in the face of BC's hard stare.

oviraptor21 · 25/05/2022 13:07

I wonder if IO will have questions for this witness

Stephen Merchant crossed with Captain Pugwash!

Never mention Captain Pugwash - the theme tune is an absolute earworm.

Diddle-di-dit, diddle-di--dit, di-dit-di-dit-di-dit-di-dit

See what you've started?

I don't think there will be summing up on Friday as they've lost the two day allocated for writing them.

So they're coming back for that on 20 June.

I might have totally misunderstood this. IANAL.

Thank you for the link @Cailleach1 - I tried going on-line earlier and just got pop up to sign up, but through your link twitter is letting me read the tweets.

MaudeYoung · 25/05/2022 13:11

It was good to hear Ben Cooper say that what DdM was calling a "hammering" amounted to what is now calculated to be only 40 tweets from 24 Twitter users.

A healthy dose of reality and truth there.

What a mendacious set of people these GCC witnesses seem to be.

GCC has well and truly damaged its reputation by its own hand.

Penguintears · 25/05/2022 13:12

Do we know when MB is on tomorrow? I'm having minor surgery in the morning and don't want to miss it!

I had the proceedings in at top volume on my ipad this morning as I did loads of housework. Had a decorator come over to do a quote just at the time EJ read out the assholes tweet. He nearly fell down the stairs 😁

FacebookPhotos · 25/05/2022 13:13

I've been unable to watch this morning (darn conscientious yr13 wanting to work in my lab before their exam tomorrow). Thanks so much for all the commentary, it really helps. Looking forward to logging in this afternoon!
