I joined when I was pregnant with DS1 and he's now 25, so I must be one of the old-timers!

We're having a bake sale in school and I was going to make a cheesecake for the mums running it and then I remembered the bake sale thread where the sad act used to bring her sad unwanted lemon drizzle "for the mums". So I didn't 😂

The first thread I got properly involved in was Chaos’s thread about her missing toaster. It culminated in Honeydragon & me leading a zombie raid on MNHQ, can’t remember why exactly, & then HQ asked me to start a thread in Housekeeping asking for advice on getting zombie gunk out of carpets.

Hello. That was me! I’m still in touch with the mumsnetter who turned up at the wildlife park to watch him waiting folornly by the penguin enclosure ..

and in a nutshell, we had been dating and I got a new phone number. I texted him saying ‘ hello this is my new number’ and he replied with a ‘ ooh hello! Who is this then? Hopefully an attractive woman!’ kinda thing
