Sandie Peggie, a nurse at Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy (VH), has brought claims in the employment tribunal against her employer; Fife Health Board (the Board) and another employee, Dr B Upton. Ms Peggie’s claims are of sexual harassment, harassment related to a protected belief, indirect discrimination and victimisation. Dr Upton claims to be a transwoman, that is observed as male at birth but asserting a female gender identity.

The Employment Tribunal hearing started on Monday 3 February 2025 and is expected to continue for 2 weeks. The hearing commenced with Sandie Peggie giving evidence. Dr Beth Upton started giving evidence on Thursday 6 February.

Access to view the hearing remotely can be obtained by sending an email request to [email protected] headed Public Access Request (Peggie v Fife Health Board) 4104864/2024 and requesting access.

DO NOT SHARE THE LINK PLEASE AND THANK YOU

thank you, I think that gets the point across better than a dozen little 'please don't share the link' posts!
I believe it is a baaad thing to do to share the link, so we need to make sure no-one does it.
Thanks RaspberryBeretScrubsSmile

Does anyone get the feeling Dr Upton wanted something like this to happen so that he could get on his soapbox and air all of the major TRA talking points? That he thinks because he's a doctor he can make a convincing case, and turn things around for the trans side, who've had a lot of losses of late?

That's another delusion - probably validated by his support crew

murasaki · 10/02/2025 15:15

He really doesn't see how entirely male every aspect of his behaviour has been, including on the stand, does he.

He does, he just doesn't care. It's about the control it has.

Appalonia · 10/02/2025 15:17

That's quite a lot of words for yes!😂

murasaki · 10/02/2025 15:17

He'll bring out 'shrill' next.

Boiledbeetle · 10/02/2025 15:17

Did he just say something along the lines of Sandie messing with his happy memory of being in the women's changing room just before he went to bed?

bumbledenbarsk · 10/02/2025 15:17

The use of 'we' and being a smart arse to NC. Again, I say he is an odious shit

FannyCann · 10/02/2025 15:17

He keeps going on about Christmas Day morning. Would Sandie's views be more welcome on a day that isn't Christmas?🎅

Peregrina · 10/02/2025 15:17

My dictionary defines gender as pertaining to grammar. Nothing about men and women feelz about being the opposite sex.

This is the link that I think I need to use but it's not working mailto:[email protected]/ What is the correct one please?

It is working. I've used it not 5 minutes ago.
You need to e-mail them and ask for access as per the first post in this thread.
I've already been sent my pin to be able to observe.

ThreeWordHarpy · 10/02/2025 15:18

OMG, if that exchange is so terrible, how on earth does/did DrU cope with the patients in A&E.

murasaki · 10/02/2025 15:18

Boiledbeetle · 10/02/2025 15:17

Did he just say something along the lines of Sandie messing with his happy memory of being in the women's changing room just before he went to bed?

I missed that, but if so, ick.

fanOfBen · 10/02/2025 15:18

Ner ner, I don't have to do what you say (he says, in response to "that's quite a lot of words for Yes")

EasternStandard · 10/02/2025 15:18

Fuck sake JR voice

So supercilious

CriticalCondition · 10/02/2025 15:18

JR sensing danger again and intervenes...

frenchnoodle · 10/02/2025 15:17

He does, he just doesn't care. It's about the control it has.

He's the same as the men who play games in the family courts to further exert power over women who have left them.

Boiledbeetle · 10/02/2025 15:18

murasaki · 10/02/2025 15:18

"That's quite a lot of words for "Yes", isn't it?"

You're not allowed to film court proceedings 😁

ghostofadog · 10/02/2025 15:19

He reminds me of the guy in The Shining

"And so, I...... 'corrected' them"

Very sinister

Boiledbeetle · 10/02/2025 15:20

So now Sandie said the wrong words to get him to leave

mzdemeanour · 10/02/2025 15:20

He reminds me of wotsisname from House of Cards - you might say that, I couldn't possibly comment

WhatIsCorndogs · 10/02/2025 15:20

I feel at this point if NC said "grass is green" he would argue some grass is brown depending on the weather, just to be argumentative.

CriticalCondition · 10/02/2025 15:20

Now he's saying Sandie wasn't direct enough in asking him to leave. She can't win.

bigboykitty · 10/02/2025 15:21

It's ALL dominance!
