How about 'we have received a number of complaints and are investigating them.' Not naming AB, not in reply to any specific tweets.

ickky · 23/05/2022 16:28

ifIwerenotanandroid · 23/05/2022 16:26

Isn't there some other response that GCC could have made, other than AB was being investigated (or however they put it)?

Couldn't they have said something like its a legitimate view, no one barrister represents the entire chambers' views, etc?

This is what I don't understand. Surely you would say. Cannot comment on an individual basis but our policy is etc.

Still not great, but better than announcing to the world you were having an investigation into one of your employees.

Thanks @ickky et al

Sterling work on the last thread.

Exactly. LD suggested something along the lines of GCC having no position on LGBA and supporting the right of members to have political views and to express them.

LipbalmOrKnickers · 23/05/2022 16:35

Aw, that was a nice bonus.

TheBiologyStupid · 23/05/2022 16:35

End of BC's questions. IO and RMW are getting money for old rope.

ickky · 23/05/2022 16:35

BC finished with LD. AH to cross.

ickky · 23/05/2022 16:36

No finding of any discrimination against LD.

No questions again from IO. IO/RW are on a good gig here.

Stonewall do seem to be slipping out the door.

Probably too busy checking the chat participants to see if they can take offence.

Earning every penny of that old rope...all that tippy tappy typing of page numbers is gruelling, i'll have you know, @TheBiologyStupid

Not enough for the Stonewall Apparatchiks. LGBA? Hang her out today, right now, in public...

Appalonia · 23/05/2022 16:40

It's so ironic that these important, busy human rights lawyers are so busy representing the most oppressed, they've completely missed one of the biggest women's and gay pp' s rights scandals in decades

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 23/05/2022 16:40

Forgot that RMW is also the annoying sounds monitor which must be worth £X per hour.

😁 Got their own work creation scheme going there as no-one else can follow the page numbering.

Hello - I followed this tribunal for the first couple of weeks, including Allison's time in the witness box, but life has got in the way since then. My impression was that the case was going to be hard to prove, Allison stood up very well under cross-examination but there wasn't the proverbial smoking gun. I just don't have time to go through all the tribunal tweets threads or the MN ones (I'm so sorry, I know people have been putting in a lot of effort into them) - can anyone give me an idea whether any of the punches have landed in the past 10 days or so?

Imagine if those responsible for compiling the bundles had done it competently Then an on hand guide wouldn't be needed.

Since that noise was MW scrolling, does it suggest that he had a support mouse?🐁

It's hard to tell, but there is a lot of amnesia and busy busy busy from GCC barristers, none of whom looked in depth at any of the reply tweets and all seem to be reading from the same script on there being no gossip and they all only discuss football in their free time. The tribunal will have to make of that what they will.

I'm sure other PP's can comment further.

Is AH right and BC is being naughty asking complicated questions? I'll be honest they don't seem complicated to me but AH seems very annoyed
