The socks were incidental but serendipitous
I'm leaning towards keeping the coat -- light and warm, long!!!, good colour, actually good fit (shoulder seams in a good place for once). Your grubby (sic, pun) screenshots have not dissuaded me! But now that I'm typing I realise I didn't try it on with a jumper (so stupid) so I'll do that first. One size up would be massive so if it doesn't fit with a jumper it's going back.
Those youtube videos are a genius find, I'd never have thought of that! I'm half-way through the Asahina one, and am blown away by how adorable she is. I did giggle at how amazed they are at all!the!colours! you can choose from but they did show a lot of details that made me really interested in the clothes, after just having settled in comfortable dismissal. The jeans look great but I agree Bo that they're not meant for curves.
I did look at the men's because the sizes are larger, but I don't think that'd help. I am oddly drawn to the sweatpants and corresponding jumper, which surprised me. She modelled the dolman shirt and I can see why it's a massive hit.
Sadly, in general, I agree in thinking a lot of those details and cuts are a little lost if you're not slim or more angular (I'll be watching the Thai video next).
Nonetheless I'm wondering if I should transfer a load of money into my account and throw myself on the ordering button tomorrow anyway! Based on your reviews and general Uniqlo sizing madness one has to order loads of different sizes
