Tutti Bambini CoZee Go Travel Cot review: "Very happy with it and so is our little one!"

This award-winning travel cot from the makers of Mumsnetters' favourite cot bed, Tutti Bambini, is a lightweight, stylish choice for your baby's on-the-go bed or playpen, and its super-breathable, mesh side panels makes it a particularly good option for travel over the summer months. Here's what our parent-tester Tamsin thought after trying it out over several months.

Our verdict

Overall, our tester Tamsin really liked the CoZee Go Travel cot, saying that she thought it offered good value for money based on its style, size and comfort. She found it very easy to set up and use for the first time, and while the large size of the cot made it trickier to move around while assembled, she loved the space it gave her growing little one. She also praised its sturdiness and lightweight portability.

We are very happy with it and so is our little one!

How we tested the CoZee Go Travel Cot

Our new mum tester Tamsin thoroughly tested the Tutti Bambini CoZee Go Travel Cot over a testing period of two months with her newborn baby. During this time she took the travel cot to two different locations for weekend stays as well as extensively testing out the travel cot's ease of assembly, cleaning and overall practicality and stability at home. While she primarily used the bassinet feature for her newborn, she also tried out the main travel cot feature to see how much space it afforded.

How easy was it to assemble?

"The travel cot arrived in a box with minimal assembly required. The frame is already put together and all you need to do is put the mattress down to the level required. For us, we used the bassinet primarily, but it was easy to see how the cot and playpen would work with an older baby or toddler."

How big is the travel cot?

Folded Dimensions: L72 x D62 x H14 cm

Assembled Dimensions: L133 x D98 x H65 cm

Floor Level Mattress Size: W120 x D80 x H3 cm

Bassinet Mattress Size: W80 x D60 x H5 cm

The travel cot is quite large. We found it difficult to move to various rooms due to the size, but the size is also a plus for us as the sleeping space is as large as our baby’s normal sleeping space at home. Having this similarity helped our baby to sleep.

How heavy is the travel cot?

The CoZee Go weighs 6.5kg - as a comparison, the Bugaboo Stardust weighs 6.7kg, BabyBjörn's Travel Cot Light is 6kg, and the budget-friendly Red Kite Sleeptight weighs in at a hefty 8kg.

"The cot itself is quite lightweight," explained Tamsin, "especially when packed away in the travel bag."

Is the CoZee Go Travel Cot comfortable?

The mattress is firm, but comfortable for our little one. He has a lot of space to sleep in the cot which he likes as he’s a wriggler.

Does it feel safe and sturdy?

"It feels very sturdy and safe, we have no concerns of the travel cot collapsing or falling while out little on is in there."

Does this travel cot work as a playpen?

"It would work as a small playpen for a baby that's starting to think about crawling or moving around. I think it may be a bit small for a permanent playpen beyond five or six months of age."

What do you use the travel cot for?

We use the CoZee Go as our main travel cot with the bassinet insert for visits to grandparents and short holidays. We will be looking to use the main travel cot and playpen features when our little one is bigger and more mobile.

How transportable is the travel cot? Would you easily be able to take it on holiday?

Tutti Bambini CoZee Go travel cot review image showing cot in travel bag

The CoZee Go folds up easily and comes with a travel bag which is super handy for our on-the-go needs. It's very easy to transport and I think you could potentially take it abroad on holiday if needed. It's not too heavy when folded into the bag at all.
