Glad you posted that, I knew I knew the face!

GoodHeavens99 · 14/05/2024 12:03

Dennis Kavanagh has just arrived.

PuneorPlayonWords · 14/05/2024 12:01

Should have checked TT first 🙈

MyLadyDisdainlsYetLiving · 14/05/2024 12:00

Everyone is back and the hearing resumes.

Surely a plastic cup is not going to manage to support that bouquet?

chilling19 · 14/05/2024 11:59

The room looks really small, no wonder it is hot.

My support cat has demanded lots of strokes, some Dreamies and has now buggered off after scratching my door (walking right by the expensive scratching post that I got her).

All support pets have abandoned me today 😬

IAmOnTheList · 14/05/2024 11:56

Yes I can see that now. The person sitting next to IO is the page turning solicitor who seemed to be a TW

Cailin66 · 14/05/2024 11:55

Pyjamagame · 14/05/2024 11:52

Is anyone else just feeling the sisterhood in that room from the supporters? Women are phenomenal. We shouldn't have to be put in this situation.

I feel the same about the women on here in Mumsnet. Today I have my support owl on shoulder avidly reading the updates on here.

MyLadyDisdainlsYetLiving · 14/05/2024 11:54

IAmOnTheList · 14/05/2024 11:32

Is that Colin from Eastenders at the end of the back row?

In don’t think so. He looks like he’s with the woman on the end, who I think is the GCC HR person who was mentioned being there to take notes on their behalf.

GoodHeavens99 · 14/05/2024 11:54

@MyLadyDisdainlsYetLiving We're terrifying!

Grr.

LipbalmOrKnickers · 14/05/2024 11:53

Great isn't it? There was an immediate springing into action!

GoodHeavens99 · 14/05/2024 11:52

Is the woman sitting beside IO, the instructing solicitor who had to turn the pages for one of Stonewall's witnesses?

SK and KM kinda blur into one person, for me.

MyLadyDisdainlsYetLiving · 14/05/2024 11:52

MyLadyDisdainlsYetLiving · 14/05/2024 11:49

I hope they find some chairs for the late arrivals. Looked like they were sitting on the floor.

The observers are rearranging the chairs during the break.

Proves that if you get a bunch of middle aged feminists in the room, they’ll have it sorted.

I apparated your post, didn't I, Beetle, like magic [waves wand]

Grin

You did.

As I'm not watching I'm relying on the artists sketches of the courtroom.

I'm dubious as to their accuracy though!

GCITC · 14/05/2024 11:49

So the argument seems to be that the judgement decided that GCC only investigated AB because of the Stonewall complaint, as all others were dismissed. It follows that if the complainant had been anyone other than a Stonewall employee, the complaint would have been dismissed like all the others.

Therefore Stonewall used their power, position and influence to cause GCC to discriminate against AB, meaning Stonewall are complicit in the discrimination.

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 14/05/2024 11:48

Ten minute break.

I miss the support animals.

LipbalmOrKnickers · 14/05/2024 11:47

Break til 11:57

IAmOnTheList · 14/05/2024 11:39

It’s fascinating hearing BC read out evidence from the Stonewall complaint. The language has shifted so much since the email was written.
It sounds strangely cute and niche to hear Stonewall say AB comments around self-id denies trans people to live their authentic lives

Appalonia · 14/05/2024 11:36

Ok thanks!

I didn't ask for a link to watch it as I got the impression viewers weren't welcome. Having watched the whole of the actual tribunal, if love to see this!

Any chance of an email address to request viewing?

Requests had to be in last week and viewers permitted by the judge.

You'll have to make do with us and TT!
