NHS Fife tries to silence nurse - Sandie Peggie vs NHS Fife Health Board and Dr Beth Upton - thread #38

Sandie Peggie, a nurse at Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy (VH), has brought claims in the employment tribunal against her employer; Fife Health Board (the Board) and another employee, Dr B Upton. Ms Peggie’s claims are of sexual harassment, harassment related to a protected belief, indirect discrimination and victimisation. Dr Upton claims to be a transwoman, that is observed as male at birth but asserting a female gender identity.

The Employment Tribunal hearing started on Monday 3 February 2025 and was expected to last 2 weeks. However, after 2 weeks it was not complete and it adjourned part-heard. It resumed on 16 July and the last day of evidence will be 28 July and then there will be 2 days of submissions from counsel meaning that the hearing will end on 30 July.

The hearing commenced with Sandie Peggie giving evidence. Dr Beth Upton gave evidence from Thursday 6 February to Wednesday 12 February.

That the alleged witness was in fear of coming forward because she was afraid that SP with her racist views might return to work is a remarkable piece of testimony.

I think two things would be helpful:

1. An initial post at the start of each thread asking people to reflect before replying to goady posts.

1. Each of us to take a moment / check the poster's form / history before replying to goady posts.

There's secret evidence from a witness of my side that we can't give to the Tribunal because the Claimant is a racist and to be afraid of. But we want you to give credence to this witness.

KS ‘I’m kind, didn’t want to cause upset’ except to SP obviously, whom she has set out not only to upset and discredit but to destroy. The very last thing KS is is kind. Unbelievable self regard.

Sorry,.not discriminated against her. The suggestion is that because Sandie is a racist she would have targeted her if she found out she had given evidence against her. Again all unprovable because said witness hasn't put anything in writing. It's just Searle's word (and fake loud tears).

1. Based on what KS has previously "inferred", did she actually say that or is KS inferring that Sandie is racist.

2. Was Sandie racist towards her or is this still the racist rumours / someone telling R that Sandie was a racist.

I have not done any such thing in any way shape or form.

I think it is much more likely that the nurse didn’t want to get involved due to possible bullying by her own employer if she didn’t toe the party line.

My witness goes to another school.
