NHS Fife tries to silence nurse - Sandie Peggie vs NHS Fife Health Board and Dr Beth Upton - thread #12

Sandie Peggie, a nurse at Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy (VH), has brought claims in the employment tribunal against her employer; Fife Health Board (the Board) and another employee, Dr B Upton. Ms Peggie’s claims are of sexual harassment, harassment related to a protected belief, indirect discrimination and victimisation. Dr Upton claims to be a transwoman, that is observed as male at birth but asserting a female gender identity.

The Employment Tribunal hearing started on Monday 3 February 2025 and was expected to continue for 2 weeks although at the start of the second week getting everything done in this time period was looking less certain. The hearing commenced with Sandie Peggie giving evidence. Dr Beth Upton started giving evidence on Thursday 6 February.

Going forward, DU needs to wear a dashcam strapped to his forehead at all times in case of further incidents like this.

Either that or all colleagues need to wear one when working with him.

For those asking, the behaviour panel say that rapid eye blinking is a sign of STRESS and is a good tell of lies and the cognitive dissonance they cause (you KNOW one thing but you are saying something else). Eye blocking is another example. Those longer blinks literally shut out the outside world momentarily to both give relief and allow for the brain to process through the stress it is under.

That Maya accepted gender critical beliefs could be woriads means court didnt rule on it. Think that means it's not a precedent but IANAL.
