It's like all their intellectual intelligence is used for facilitating a basic urge reproduction like animals.

The emotionally intelligent are moving to the more grown up Times leaving the reptilian brained emotionally young narcissistic toddler tantrum sex obsessives types at the Guardian.

I cannot wait to toast marshmallows on the painful fiery financial death of The Guardian.

Justhadathought · 24/12/2018 15:44

GSsocscientist;

Yes, for some reason people just don't want to, or will not accept the prevalence and the method of predatory paedophiles, and other perverts; even when they have their faces rubbed in it - such as in the case of Jimmy Saville. I just don't understand the wilful blindness.

I used to live in Aberdeenshire when my children where young, and paedophiles had actively infiltrated Scottish Junior Chess; where teams of of mainly young boys would be driven away to weekend chess tournaments around Scotland. The whole of the chess committee closed ranks to protect the persons in question; as if they had been groomed too; or even more sinister - as if they were wilfully turning a blind eye.

The sooner the trust fund runs out, the better.

Floisme · 24/12/2018 16:04

I can't agree - I'm really sad about what's happened at the Guardian and I'm still hoping they can pull their journalistic principles out of the fire.

ToeToToe · 24/12/2018 16:04

It is well known amongst certain experts that predatory paedophiles are masterful at grooming adults as well as children. Including the parents of the children, colleagues, probation officers, you get the drift... It's really scary.

Certain events in my life have made me realise that there is a paedophile on practically every corner. But I think most people just don't want to recognise this, read about it or even think about it. Rather bury their heads in the sand.

It's as if people are wilfully blind

nauticant · 24/12/2018 19:04

When you see all sorts of people enabling and protecting a certain JY you realise that it can't be explained away just by an abundance of wokeness.

LizzieSiddal · 24/12/2018 19:11

They are neither an MP nor a Lord but appear to be a -pompous- very important councillor

Thank fuck for that!

You only have to look at this person’s signature to know they are a pompous knob.

My first boyfriend at university had been groomed by a paedophile - who also groomed his parents, even took them on holidays.

LizzieSiddal · 24/12/2018 19:17

Jimmy Saville groomed a whole nation (well almost).

Justhadathought · 24/12/2018 19:17

Some people do not seem to read the 'signals'; do not get the feeling of their skin crawling.......I'm not sure why?

Had a friend with a disabled daughter who permitted the most unsavoury, creepy neighbour to babysit her child on fairly regular occasions. He was living with a woman who was a single parent. He gave me the creeps.

Justhadathought · 24/12/2018 19:19

And yet the whole nation found him the most revolting specimen. What was going on? We had to assume because he was so influential and well known he was really o.k. Against our better judgments.

PersonaNonGarter · 24/12/2018 19:24

I feel sad about the Guardian. How could they have set aside their critical faculties so wholesale?! Like anyone who screams ‘right side of historeeeeeeee’ gets a free pass.

ToeToToe · 24/12/2018 19:38

The one real-life paedophile I know was married to one of my good friends. I always had an icky feeling about him, and pushed it aside. Then he was arrested in a dawn raid on the family home.

He used to argue that there should be no age of consent - from a 'libertarian' - 'anti-the-nanny-state' perspective. He used to make jokes about underage girls. He used to leer at his DD's friends. Never ever trust men who do this! It's never a joke.

Then when I was reading a press story about him, another story came up - and it was about our next-door-but-one neighbour in our old house. Done for the exact same thing - downloading images of child abuse. Then my best friend's neighbour was arrested for the exact same thing.

There really is one on every corner. I'll never ignore that tingling in the spine feeling about someone again, just because he's a friend, or married to one of my friends.

Ugh - what a thing to be posting about on Christmas Eve! I still have presents to wrap and festivities to attend to Wine

I got the icky feeling about the one I knew, and pushed it aside. A very manipulative pitiful man.

Whatevszz · 25/12/2018 09:37

Edward Lord has blocked my architecture acount on twitter - must be a very comprehensive blocker he's using. What an arse.

Deliriumoftheendless · 25/12/2018 09:55

If you look how CSA scandals have been facilitated recently by those with power, it’s hard not to conclude that paedophiles are way too prevalent in society- especially in roles like police etc.

This is true of Savile, Rotherham and so forth. We are hearing the same excuses we heard whilst those were happening.

SirVixofVixHall · 25/12/2018 14:55

Agree grim and grimy as pp said.
Also agree there is a heart of darkness under this, it truly is a mens rights movement.
I subscribe to the Times now, they get all the best journalists. Guardian writers can hardly string a coherent sentence together any more.

PersonaNonGarter · 25/12/2018 23:27

We need the Guardian to be better than it is. The sub-Canary op-Eds are really crap. What has happened to the Centre Left.

starcrossedseahorse · 26/12/2018 00:47

I care nothing for the Guardian any more and will never buy it again.

Report of Edward Lord's contribution at Jane Fae's TRA conference September 2018, 'We're Still Here'

OP TheHarpySings wrote:
(extract)
"4) Equalities Act

So… there was a kind of informal meeting during lunchtime about The Equalities Act which was being run by everyone’s favourite advocate for extreme porn, Jane Fae. Edward Lord turned up, straight from a meeting with the City of London Corp. PlEASE NOTE THAT FAE AND LORD DID NOT WANT THIS SECTION TWEETED.

Edward Lord. He was dressed like Tweedledum. Or, if I’m feeling generous, a Mario Brother that doesn’t get invited to Xmas dinner anymore.

Mr Lord was very bumfaced about the Andrew Gilligan article about him in July and said that opposition to the GRA consultation just wanted to “cause mayhem.” He directly mentioned the Man Friday Hampstead Pond stuff.

Apparently “there have been no incidents of men turning up to the women’s pond but Man Friday turned up to the men’s pond and demanded admission- by force if necessary.”

As of 8/9/18, 15.5k people had completed the attitudes survey.

Lord said that TW were entitled to the protected characteristic “Woman”- he said the Gov dept on woman and equalities has confirmed this. Apparently the brave and stunning vexatious litigator Giuliana Kendall has something to do with this being confirmed.

Edward Lord is worried about the 125 elected members of the London assembly or whatever the fuck Londoners have governing the city. Not all of them are onside. He is worried that all of this is going to be discussed at committee and that “terfs are going to protest”.

Jane Fae said that JF has been in contact w/ YHA and GirlGuiding. Fae is of the opinion that the law doesn’t distinguish gender and sex. They are not defined and parliament will not define them.

The TRAs are fully prepared to take local councils to court of they try to invoke EA2010 for reasons of sex. JF was nodding at Giuliana when JF said this.

James Morton (Scottish Trans Alliance) said to be “strategic about test cases to ensure strong case law”.

Edward Lord agreed. He also said that the City of London Corp city solicitor and the Chief Exec are “strong allies”.

Regards the consultation doc put out by the City of London Corp… Lord implied that they were going to go through the answers and cherry pick the the qualitative snapshots.

One of the Mermaids mums in attendance said the “banner of concerned mothers of vulnerable children shouldn’t be captured by bigots”. Lord is meeting officers about how data is presented and is “conscious of that line of argument”

Jane Fae said the GC side are spreading a myth of predatory males- which doesn’t happen (!!! Lolz Karen White). And also spreading the myth that that TW are paedophiles (Loz Karen White x2).

Then (and Fae didn’t want this tweeted) apparently, there ARE terrible people exploiting The Equalities Act. And they are…

Man Friday
We Need To Talk
Fair Play for Women

According to Fae, all of the above have broken laws and engaged in upskirting and crotch shots of TW. Fae talked about debating Amy Desir of Man Friday about refuges. Amy talked about how female socialisation essentially stops us from refusing TW in our spaces.

JF then asked people not to tweet this next bit because it is libellous: Amy Desir took her husband into the Next changing rooms to commit voyeurism.
Fae (shouting): “Who is the pervert now?!!”

JF hopes that Amy and Man Friday are prosecuted." (continues)
