Well spotted miss but don’t we all do that? Point out our position and status at all times so people know they’re dealing with someone Very Important and not a pleb at all.

DH saw Edward Lord in the street the other day. He pointed him out. Loudly. I wonder if the look of horror on his face was because DH forgot to say Deputy and add the OBE Grin

Iused2BanOptimist · 24/12/2018 07:59

Oh dear. The Sunday Times is in trouble. Look who's chiming in.

Well I bet the ST is very very sorry now. That's quite a ticking off.

HandsOffMyRights · 24/12/2018 08:12

West Yorkshire Police had better be on standby.

Forget those other crimes, thought crimes are being committed and the Dr demands you drop everything. NOW!

SonicVersusGynaephobia · 24/12/2018 08:21

I bet stories there are stories to be found on Edward Lord; most of the aggressive TRAs seem to have skeletons in the closet.

Hopefully his silly letter is enough to make a few journalists look.

TBH I think the "consultation" that he launched for the City of London Corporation, which he only advertised on twitter after blocking everyone who might not agree with him, is pretty bad in itself, but I think that's probably the tip of the iceberg.

HamiltonCork · 24/12/2018 08:26

It does seem like he’s hiding something. Maybe that’s why he’s so keen to shut the Sunday Times up?

HandsOffMyRights · 24/12/2018 08:28

Sonic, I reckon James Kirkup at The Spectator has a fair bit of information.

In one of his articles he talks about the high profile people who've contacted him with concerns.
He's also written pieces on Bercow before.

I hope they all join forces and dig. The Daily Mail is also excellent at investigative journalism. It may not always be aligned to our politics, but when slabs need unturning and you want to reach the masses, they do a sterling job.

Gosh. Those connections are very worrying, aren't they?

I can't see this having any effect other than galvanising Gilligan into more investigative journalism.

I think there are quite a few people making connections. Letters like this reveal far more about the writer than anything else.

hackmum · 24/12/2018 08:31

I do very much hope that Gilligan’s next article is about Lord’s friendship with a paedophile.

What a massive own goal.

HandsOffMyRights · 24/12/2018 09:16

Somebody has posted that the article Lord refers to has been removed from The Times.

I don't have an online sub, but they've done screen shot and it says the article has been removed.

AnyOldPrion · 24/12/2018 09:20

I can't see this having any effect other than galvanising Gilligan into more investigative journalism.

Neither can I. I find it amazing that he feels so full of himself that he would think such a letter would have the desired effect. I can’t imagine reading such a letter and doing anything other than telling my journalists to go for the jugular.

Popchyk · 24/12/2018 09:28

Every accusation is an admission with this lot. Every time.

So Andrew Gilligan has a fetish, does he?

HandsOffMyRights · 24/12/2018 09:30

Too true Popchyk. Projection

Popchyk · 24/12/2018 09:34

I kind of hope that it does work though.

And additional reporters at The Times are told to report on the transgender cult.

And they start including people like Miranda, Debbie and Kristina regularly.

Give Lord what he wants.

Juells · 24/12/2018 09:35

Iused2BanOptimist

Always banging on about 'history', aren't they?

ChristmasWrappingTheWaitresses · 24/12/2018 09:41

What happened with that survey anyway did we ever get the results of it ?

Juells · 24/12/2018 09:43

She/he/whatever has used City of London headed paper and put "written in a personal capacity".

Quite comical.

FaithFrank · 24/12/2018 09:44

HandsOffMyRights I just had a look and the article is still available.

The fetish thing is just laughable. The content of the ariticles must be true, else why would EL resort to ad hominem attacks?

HandsOffMyRights · 24/12/2018 09:45

I think the missing article is the one Lord refers to in his little lettter, from earlier in the year.

HandsOffMyRights · 24/12/2018 09:47

29th July?

faintlyridiculous · 24/12/2018 09:49

What happened with that survey anyway did we ever get the results of it

They are getting an analysis done but said that they won’t release anything until after the results of the government consultation are published.

The article from the summer about the diabolical consultation is gone - removed on 9 November it seems. Oh to have such power.

Igneococcus · 24/12/2018 09:54

I can't read it the letter, it's too small on my screen handsoff need a useful word from the title to search.

Popchyk · 24/12/2018 09:59

"I enclose 25 articles and can't even reference one inaccuracy. Please stop journalists telling the truth at your paper".

What an idiot.

Lord against Gilligan is like Timmy Mallet going up against Anthony Joshua in a boxing match.

Mumfun · 24/12/2018 10:06

Lots of connections from masons to PIE. Hope lots of digging gets done in 2019 because results would definitely be yielded
