The Brave Babes Battle Bus - Carry On Past The Park Bench!

1000 replies

HammerMouseOfHorrors · 18/10/2010 10:54

Hello Smile

I'm Mouse and one of the Brave Babes on the Battle Bus.

The bus is never full and you'll find a real mix of people on board, all with the same goal.

To take control of their drinking. Whether that's to stop completely or cut right down.

Everyone is welcome to get on the bus at any point. You will receive a warm welcome and plenty of support.

Some come meet the others.........

The journey so far.

BBwannaB · 28/10/2010 20:08

I only came here to fill up the thread as per Mouse's intructions AND I haven't had my dinner yet!

loopylouwitchywoo6 · 28/10/2010 20:13

Grin sorry. Anyway it was silvers fault, she started it by mentioning pink sock Grin

loopylouwitchywoo6 · 28/10/2010 20:15

Oh and don't Google pink sock ;)

MsGeepers · 28/10/2010 20:24

I did the first time and that made me gag too. Ugh.

BBwannaB · 28/10/2010 21:22

Its gone very quiet around here is everyone traumatized, or just gone to bed?

HammerMouseOfHorrors · 28/10/2010 21:29

Hi Babes
Been MIA for a day or two and missed all the
*arguing fun.
thurso - very welcome. Stop starter here too - sometimes Mouse slaps me, sometimes she hugs me.
am backsliding badly after doing well, but still aboard the bus.

BBwannaB · 28/10/2010 21:32

Hi Mouse how has Nemo been today?

I have had a good day, another little success with a trip to the pub, but lime and soda while friend had wine.

MsGeepers · 28/10/2010 21:47

I am still gorgeous Mouse [hgrin]. Even with my manky thumb.

Just reading up on the mayhem Grin

v tired, DD up at half 5 complaining that it was dark. No shit.

DH taught her the phrase bum crumbs and she has started using it herself. Which is all I need. Still - In laws over this weekend and perhaps she'll call nanny a bum crumb. One must have hope.

Weary wave to everyone. Will post more when brain less fried and have ten functioning digits.

Night x

HammerMouseOfHorrors · 28/10/2010 21:58

Ma - tonight, you can have one of these (((((x)))))

BB - Well the fuck done on not drinking. Nemo is still really bad. I have arranged for his nurse to come two weeks earlier..... I'm shitting myself but we will get through this. Smile

MsGeepers - thank God your sliced thumb has not affected your gorgeousness!! Hope DD is continuing to settle in the new house.

Shout if you need anything. I know we aren't nearby but always happy to help. How is the not drinking going? x

BB - it's a long story, she has been with us since his birth. It's a long story and once my normal profile is back up, you can read it.

Basically, she is my rock. She helps heeps so I need her here to add weight to Nemo's current issues.

Thank you for asking BB xx

loopylouwitchywoo6 · 28/10/2010 22:52

Who's around?

hubbabubbababba · 29/10/2010 06:42

Morning all, hope we are all well this fine friday morning. Now, i know i dont want to know but....what is a pink sock, im too afraid to look on google.
Just thought I would mention I am on day 6 and even went to the pub yesterday for lunch with dh and had 2 diet cokes Grin I am so proud of myself. I have realised I can't just have one, I would have ended up having a couple, then fobbing off dd onto my parents while me and dh sneak a couple more in then head home with a bottle of wine. So...yey for me...and for all you other lovely ladies!

Whitenapteen · 29/10/2010 07:56

Hubbabubba Fantastic to reach day 6 and have that really great feeling that you have taken charge of this drinking thing!

desiretochange · 29/10/2010 08:01

Congrats on Day 6 hubba:)

loopylouwitchywoo6 · 29/10/2010 09:08

Morning all :) I'm still in bed wrapped up like a sausage roll lol. Feel really tired this morning though.

loopylouwitchywoo6 · 29/10/2010 09:11

Oooh just noticed we are on 999 posts and felt compelled to post again to make it the 1000th (small things and all that Grin)

Tippler · 29/10/2010 09:21

Good morning- I hope you don't mind me sticking my head around the corner, but I've got a question and thought you would be the ladies to ask.

I definitely drink too much and too often. But after a night of not drinking at all, I always seem to wake up with pains in my stomach. Has anybody else experienced this? What do you think it could be?

Thanks- sorry for hijack.
