NHS Fife tries to silence nurse - Sandie Peggie vs NHS Fife Health Board and Dr Beth Upton - thread #7

Sandie Peggie, a nurse at Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy (VH), has brought claims in the employment tribunal against her employer; Fife Health Board (the Board) and another employee, Dr B Upton. Ms Peggie’s claims are of sexual harassment, harassment related to a protected belief, indirect discrimination and victimisation. Dr Upton claims to be a transwoman, that is observed as male at birth but asserting a female gender identity.

The Employment Tribunal hearing started on Monday 3 January 2025 and is expected to continue for 2 weeks. The hearing commenced with Sandie Peggie giving evidence. Dr Beth Upton started giving evidence on 6 February.

We've no idea if the metadata search returned anything at all.

We may yet learn that JR was correct in her assertion that she could "explain all the mysteries".

I'm accustomed to reading volumes of documents, mostly complex. I'm in awe of legal teams doing this over the weekend when they would have no reasonable expectation of knowing when they might be delivered, and in what volume. They have to both manage a large number (potentially) yet read them carefully enough to spot what they're looking for, inconsistencies etc.

Could it be valium or similar? Because I know I'd need to be prescribed something to turn up if I'd seen my case go like BU's did last week.

OR there's no smoking gun in the disclosed docs & they're feeling chipper.

Or they just realised smiling & unmasked with makeup does a lot more for you being perceived as a lady than masked male & it's a PR move.
