1 in 585 trans women are currently incarcerated for sexual offences

Thanks to the census data, we can now show that 1 in every 585 trans women and England and Wales are convicted sex offenders.

That compares to 1 in every 2500-3000 men and 1 in every 243000 women.

So which is it? Are trans women inherently more dangerous than men that don't identify as trans, or are men pretending to me trans in order to offend?

The answer doesn't actually matter. The same solution fixes both issues.

Anecdotally we see TW being given non-custodial sentences on grounds of how hard they’d have it in prison.

And one I recall on the grounds that "there was no sex offender pathway programme for women". I don't think he even had a GRC but I think it was CSE related.

Can’t do the twitter porn or only fans toilet masturbation without fully working penises!

Thankfully it is only ‘some’.

I remember one political ‘advisor’ who liked to post on MN FWR who we discovered likes elf play but also does twitter porn ….

Having looked quite s few times at profiles of people in twitter discussions, I quickly learned not to do that. There is supposed to be an age gate… it is rarely used. I assume they know fully well how many too young users are on line, yet they don’t protect their accounts.

No need to use offensive language. This board exists on a knife-edge, as I'm sure you well know. Report yourself, or I will.

You missed the bit about being in league with the far right.

And the Christian Taliban!

Will, I did end up on a religion based thread, as a heathen, and literally had a come to Jesus moment or ten on it. So.....

Interesting timing of a new AMA thread with a purported forensic psychologist. Basically seems to be saying the opposite of this thread and transwomen/ males no problem in women’s prisons, women are worse etc etc.

www.mumsnet.com/talk/AMA/4714656-im-a-forensic-psychologist-working-across-male-and-female-prisons-in-england-ama

And I do, have mentioned in a previous reply but it’s a lot better for all involved for a transwoman to be housed in a protected wing in a women’s prison when looking at risk vs reward. Quite honestly if I were to be imprisoned next week I’d prefer to take my chances being housed with a transwoman compared to most of the women I come across in my day job. If you’ve ever seen the aftermath of a crotching incident you’d understand.

I think their AMA would benefit from some more questions

I'm gobsmacked by that AMA thread.

Apparently if we want to be "decent human beings" we have to make sure that we centre men at all times - even in a woman's fucking prison - and let in any man on his say so who wants to be there for the greater over all good of all concerned.

I can't actually believe what I'm reading.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 07/01/2023 18:22

I've put the AMA woman (I think?) into my basket of "do gooder liberal types with unconscious internal misogyny pushing the trans agenda". I'm sure she doesn't think she's naive, but she is.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 07/01/2023 18:23

Criminals have often pulled the wool over the eyes of criminal psychologists, they're not immune to it.

It’s fucking shocking isn’t it?! I desperately want to respond but am restraining myself as I won’t be able to be polite.

Yet another woman, a psychologist no less, quite happy to throw women under the bus so that men don’t have the hurty fee-fees!

Ereshkigalangcleg · 07/01/2023 18:26

Weirdly sexist, apparently male violence is more reasonable and women are petty.

GCITC · 07/01/2023 18:32

Some further points. These figures are only based on people currently incarcerated. So one trans woman in every 585 is currently in prison for sexual offences.

Furthermore, this only includes trans women without a GRC. We don't know the figures of TW in prison with a GRC.

The rate of TW currently in prison for sexual offences this 4-5 times higher than found in males that don't identify as trans.

0.17% of trans people are sex offenders?

That means 99.83% AREN'T.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 07/01/2023 18:23

Criminals have often pulled the wool over the eyes of criminal psychologists, they're not immune to it.

But Eresh that apparently doesn't happen, there are very strong checks and balances before a convicted sex offender/rapist would be released so no need to worry🙄

I often forget that MN itself is not the FWR boards and that thread is one of those times when I'm brought up short.

bellac11 · 07/01/2023 18:35

On the prison psychologist thread she says that trans women are at high risk of sexual assault by men if they were to be in a male prison. But that women in prisons are at low risk from transwomen who are in same prison

But women are at higher risk of assault by transwomen than if the trans women werent there surely?

We are discussing TW. As far as I'm aware, no TM are in prison for sexual offences.

Compare your percentage with that of women.

Even less men are. So shall we make everything mixed sex at all times?

Well, quite. I wonder what "Karen" White's victims think of the logic?

That would seem to be obvious, but as women are support humans we need to be sacrificed for the greater over all good that would come of the men with special identities being "protected" in the female estate.

The OP makes much of female on female violence which I don't want to down play, but all things being equal I'd take my chances against another female in a fight over any man no matter how he identified plus any sexual assault/rape couldn't end in pregnancy.

My understanding is that it's one in 585 who are in prison for sex offences at any one time. Presumably the number who have convictions but aren't in prison is higher. Also - as with men in general - the ones who are sex offenders but haven't been convicted will be higher still.
