I do think there should be free speech on campus, but if you are researching and talking about this stuff and then lecturing about it, you need to have water tight ethics and be very transparent about it.

In this case, we have a problem and we've got questionable conflicts of interest involving vulnerable young people.

looking at the abstract from this study on harmful effects, I think it says that MORE harmful effects are experienced with commercial binders, compared with homemade efforts. It seems unlikely? I haven't got access to the full study. is it true??

'People are falsely claiming that Jacob Breslow reported for @PinkNews. He didn’t. We published a guest article by him via @pointfoundation at which he was a scholar in 2007. This was 4 years prior to his participation in the conference in the news today.

The article was published using our pre-Wordpress content management system and imported to Wordpress. This and hundreds of other articles lost assets including author names and images for guest writers. The article has been updated to direct readers to today’s news story.'

I actually feel quite emotional for her. When she first put out that 'people who menstruate' tweet and opened the gates of actual hell, Emma Watson watched the disgusting abuse rain down on her and responded to that abuse by suggesting that people donate to Mermaids, without ever even mentioning the abuse, let alone condemning it. It must have hurt Joanne on some level to be betrayed like that, by someone who presumably she was close to at one point.

Even on that tweet, people were saying that one day Emma is going to feel very embarrassed. I think that day might have come.
