I asked for a link to watch on Friday and haven't received one. I will email again but will be disappointed if I miss the first day I can watch!

dworky · 23/05/2022 09:46

Oooh, far right! Who had that on their bingo card?

No, you should be in. Come out and go back in. I found it worked best on Safari on iPad

Thanks

Pyjamagame · 23/05/2022 09:48

MW looks uncomfortable.

CatsOperatingInGangs · 23/05/2022 09:50

Lovely birdsong coming from BC’s office again.
Its also refreshing to see a witness who seems comfortable in the hot seat. He’s not defensive and arsey (yet).

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 22/05/2022 23:20

I don't think we're enjoying it. It feels like history being made and for me, as a one time admirer of Stonewall and a bisexual woman, this really feels like an era defining moment within the LGBT "community".

It's a fight that many of us have wanted to take on for years and haven't had the opportunity or the strength. This is Allison's fight, yes, but she's fighting for all of us and we're right there behind her, cheering her on.

I completely agree. I have marched for pride and raised money for Stonewall, but when they chose to support heterosexual men over homosexual women they stopped being anything like a gay rights organisations and became a men's right organisation who were happy to use women as human shields.

I once met a heterosexual man SOOO entitled that he thought it was perfectly ok for him to unilaterally decide that from now on he would be dating homosexual women. I suppose in some ways I was not shocked that such an entitled and scary man existed. I have no words for how shocked horrified and generally betrayed I felt when (some years later) Stonewall agreed with him.

MW looks uncomfortable.

Ha! I’m reading him the opposite way 🤣

nauticant · 23/05/2022 09:51

I'll be watching this week to catch Michelle Brewer Penguintears. Whenever that might be and assuming that she does indeed appear. For me she is the unmissable witness.

CatsOperatingInGangs · 23/05/2022 09:50

Ha! I’m reading him the opposite way 🤣

Sorry, maybe it's his face. He looks a bit like a worrywart.

AmaryllisNightAndDay · 23/05/2022 09:52

I've been away and keeping half an eye on this thread, just got caught up on Tribunal Tweets. It's intense! And yes Allison is a staunch fighter and win or lose she's turned over a big rock and exposed what's underneath. Never thought I'd see a tribunal discuss the cotton ceiling!

This is all history in the making. For me the make-or-break legal case for women will be Sarah Summers' Sussex Rape Crisis case. Maya Forstater made it possible to talk about it, she and Allison Bailley (and others) are setting the foundations. But Sussex Rape Crisis / Survivors' Network will be a case that women can't afford to lose.

Sussex Survivors' Network and presumably the coucil who fund them imagine that they are meeting women's needs by offering three mixed-sex groups and no women-only group at all. That is what women were promised wouldn't happen. If this is legally OK then it will be a huge defeat for women across the UK. It will be a precedent.

Anyway everyone, hope it all goes well today. Go Allison!

Ameanstreakamilewide · 23/05/2022 09:53

In his WS, MW says that he still doesn't understand 'gender critical views', so doesn't take sides in the debate.

It's the simplest thing in the world to understand.

Are we taking bets on how many times he'll do it, @chilling19 ??

EmbarrassingHadrosaurus · 22/05/2022 23:43

It feels like history being made and for me, as a one time admirer of Stonewall and a bisexual woman, this really feels like an era defining moment within the LGBT "community".

It is. It is vital that we could attend Maya and Allison's cases and that we observe them as so few people understand what's at stake.

If Marion Millar's or Ceri Black's cases had continued, we would have needed to turn out for them as best we could. We need to be able to attend as many of the cases as we can to support and be present for the proceedings.

In times like these, we're resisting when we witness.

Just catching up on the thread - completely agree with this EmbarrassingHadrosaurus . We need as many people to see and be aware of this as possible. I don't know about anyone else, but the number of people who know I'm watching this who are asking for daily updates suggests there are beams of sunlight hitting the ground all over the place.

AH interruption face is so funny.

Penguintears · 23/05/2022 09:59

I've now joined but have a blank screen. Any tips?

LipbalmOrKnickers · 23/05/2022 10:02

Try logging out and back in again Penguintears - the first box that comes up on log in refers to tribunal camera & mic (so you can see and hear THEM), so they should both be on.

CatsOperatingInGangs · 23/05/2022 10:02

What device are you on? @Penguintears

Clymene · 23/05/2022 10:03

MW is another one who can't remember anything

Ereshkigalangcleg · 23/05/2022 10:03

They must have something in the water there.

Yes, winner gets a support twix! I guess 10 through the day.

Penguintears · 23/05/2022 10:05

Ooh I'm in properly now. How exciting! I've followed TT and this thread every day so far, so now seeing it in real life is awesome!

Penguintears · 23/05/2022 10:05

Thanks everyone.
