The subject heading of the email request should read

“MEDIA OR PUBLIC ACCESS REQUEST – Case number 2202172/2020 - Ms A Bailey – 25th April 2022.

Then ask for the pin for the online access.

But he’s talking about a hammering and a twitterstorm, and admitting that it was only 7 accounts complaining? If I was trying to prove a « hammering » I’d have looked up all replies so I could at least say « there were 672 people joining in a twitterstorm ». Or do they not exist and it was literally 7? 7 accounts!

They can’t put the blame on DdM. They employed him and he (however gleefully) only did what they allowed him to do.

Would be useful to quantify precisely - ?perhaps via DdM - what that hammering/twitterstorm consisted of.

There's just a lot of distancing - we relied on DdM etc I know they are his employers and will be blamed but as individuals I feel they are attempting to protect their own reputations by deflecting blame onto someone else

Definitely they’re trying that. The simple fact is that he came to them with everything.

I suspect Albania relates to MW's professional interest in the rights of gypsy and traveller communities.

There have been a fair few references to the "upcoming GRA becoming law". It feels like the consultation was assumed to be a fait accompli. The fact that the consultation resulted in no change must have come as quite a shock to the lobby groups.

Well, don't you think it would have been wise to have understood before you jumped in with both feet? Are you not someone for whom the use of your brain is a prerequisite for your profession?

They say never go to hospital at the weekend.

I say never email a barrister from Wednesday to Friday, after 7pm, or on the first, second or third Tuesday of every month. Avoid Mondays.

All this quibbling about when emails are sent. The whole point of things like emails is: you deal with them when YOU are next at work. Someone sends an email on Friday - you read it on Monday. Not say, on Monday, oh well that's last week's stuff I won't engage
