You do know you are going to look like a nutter, randomly shouting fuck off in your front garden. 😂

I do that all the time.

Mostly to flying beasties that target my ears. But this works.

EmbarrassingHadrosaurus · 23/05/2022 12:29

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 23/05/2022 12:12

RMW intervening to complain about scrolling noise! From the witness! Is that really important?!

My regular PAS. If you find yourself in online meetings or even phone calls on a regular basis, get a noise suppression service like Krisp AI or similar.

nauticant · 23/05/2022 12:29

MW is really on the hook here. That it was perceived by others and said at the time that GCC tweeting in a way that implies investigating transphobia was harmful to AB.

GrumpyMenopausalWombWielder · 23/05/2022 12:30

Is MW actually trying to say criticism (from another GC member) that GCC had 'ill-treated' a black female barrister wasn't claiming GCC were distancing themselves from AB/AB's views?

MW is tying himself in knots here.

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 23/05/2022 12:30

Everyone seems confused except the Judge.

Chrysanthemum5 · 23/05/2022 12:30

It's your bundle AH - if it's hard to understand you share the blame

Penguintears · 23/05/2022 12:31

EJ helping AH with navigating the bundle 😁

ickky · 23/05/2022 12:31

Gabcsika · 23/05/2022 12:28

He's really struggling now I think.

Not really answering questions properly anymore.

Hangry hour is approaching.

"... damage that David de Menezes had never seen the like before in chambers"!

Oh the hyperbole! It's biblical!

I was thinking that they'd probably never encountered this particular group of twitter people in full flow before.

Welcome to our world.

IdisagreeMrHochhauser · 23/05/2022 12:30

Everyone seems confused except the Judge.

Yes, her ability to follow the detail is awesome.

pardonmytits · 23/05/2022 12:33

‘Support employment tribunal’

😂

MsMcGonagall · 23/05/2022 12:35

Even I think that BC might have got the stuff he needs out of this witness now

Penguintears · 23/05/2022 12:36

Just admitted that the standard approach would be an email response to a complaint, not a tweet.

ifIwerenotanandroid · 23/05/2022 12:37

This is the only thing I can find about their reputation taking a hammering on twitter. Don't know if this is where it started as a phrase, or if it's elsewhere & from the time of the Twitterstorm.

tabbycatstripy · 23/05/2022 12:37

Hardly anyone has ‘seen the like’ of trans activists’ ‘Twitter storms’ before... but what does that tell you? It might tell you that the nature of the complaints is very serious. Or, it might tell you that there are some very unstable people on the internet. Or, it might tell you that this is a very polarised issue.

I don’t think anyone who doesn’t know what ‘gender critical’ means is qualified to make those distinctions.

TheBiologyStupid · 23/05/2022 12:37

Bloody AH just can't keep out of it!

nauticant · 23/05/2022 12:38

BC asking whether GCC's real motivation and actions were appeasing those on twitter who called AB a transphobe.

IDidntKnowItWasAParty · 23/05/2022 12:38

MW is all over the place

MythicalReasonableTwitterUser · 23/05/2022 12:38

MW "we have a need to consider complaints properly".....
well, yes....

Penguintears · 23/05/2022 12:39

Now he's contradicting himself and saying that it was appropriate to respond on Twitter.
Also saying was not trying to appease people who called AB transphobic but to prevent damage to GC's reputation (repeating of twitter hammering).

Chrysanthemum5 · 23/05/2022 12:40

I feel DdM is being set up as a fall guy here

TheBiologyStupid · 23/05/2022 12:40

I think this is going to be a key witness session. MW not nearly as clever as he appears to believe.

PrelateChuckles · 23/05/2022 12:40

rogdmum · 23/05/2022 12:10

It doesn’t even make any sense. He has occasionally retweeted a GCC tweet and said to read the thread, complete with the little spool of thread emoji. But tweet threads are a series of replies to the original tweet so he would have had to read the replies to know it was a tweet thread!!!!!

Argh, really? This has annoyed me greatly. He must understand how replies work! And what Erish said... that's what a Twitter storm is! A bunch of replies that are obviously public!

MythicalReasonableTwitterUser · 23/05/2022 12:40

MW- We weren't trying to APPEASE them, we were just trying to stop the HAMMERING

tabbycatstripy · 23/05/2022 12:40

‘...a Twitter storm generated by the claimant.’

The claimant exercising her fundamental Article 10 rights, being bullied by extremists.
