The Tribunal started on 25th April at 10am. If you would like to view online you need to send a request for access as early as possible.

Send an email to

The subject heading of the email request should read

“MEDIA OR PUBLIC ACCESS REQUEST – Case number 2202172/2020 - Ms A Bailey – 25th April 2022.

Then ask for the pin for the online access.

You will be contacted with instructions on how to observe the hearing.

DR seems to be editorialising a fair amount here, particularly about beliefs that he affects not to understand.

Who would be a judge? Concentrating hard for six hours while people faff around wasting your time with odd bundles and what appears to be a horrendous IT audio set up. Presumably she will go back and review her notes (against the bundles) so another jolly 2 hours or so..

what and when is next?

The judge is clearly aware along with many other lawyers, SW et al, how important this case is. Is a clerk from another chambers being brought in (and would they accept?) to say what an important role they play for barristers and solicitors and that their job is dependent on knowing the strengths and weaknesses of individuals and what the tone of the chambers is?

I realize I shouldn't have asked the name of the person against whom a death threat was made. Presumably this is nothing to do with the online nature of this tribunal, given that there has always been court reporting and witnesses have often been found/nobbled/threatened? However is it seminal to the case in any way or peripheral? Will it be investigated?

This is equivalent to saying 'people become teachers/priests/ children's entertainers to become sex offenders' is offensive to teachers/priests/children's entertainers.
