⭐️OPEN TO ALL⭐️

It’s never too late to make a change, to make a difference and feel confident in your body. To reach optimum health and vitality we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great! Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and generally eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost around 45lbs.

I’m maintaining at 9st 2lb but I would like to get back into the 8’s 🤞

Are you in😊 What food plan will you be following? What do you want to change and why?

New members … Give it a go; it’s never too late! You'll be pleased you did 😊

So many great results, both weight and not-weight-wise! I've not moved much since Monday which is obviously fine. Yesterday's victory was sticking to calories and not running for snacks while dealing with a mammoth delay on my commute (took me 3 hours to get home in the end). A week ago I would have run straight into the m&s simply food for snacks when the first train was cancelled. So glad to have not given in. I'm more or less on track for calories this week so far.

SW @ start of 2025: 94kg
CW: 91.4kg
GW: 79kg (into normal BMI)

1.6lb off this WOW. No doubt most of it will be back on tomorrow.

Love reading how everyone is doing. Particularly enjoying the NSVs because they mean so much more and affect us so much more than what we actually see on the scale. I’m still waiting for some myself mind you!

LittleCarrot12 · 03/09/2025 18:03

Checking in. I’ve been weighing on a Friday as that’s the first day I got scales but will move to a Wednesday next week . Still stuck at 8 lbs loss but keeping my chin up.

FridayNighFeeling · 03/09/2025 18:34

Amazing stuff all. I've not made it onto the scales - maybe tomorrow, but my jeans are doing up much more comfortably!

Gone over my calories today, but active day and body looked for more carbs, nevermind.

HollyGolightly4 · 03/09/2025 19:39

Sorry, I might have missed it, What's a NSV?

I haven't weighed today, but one good thing about being back at work is less time to eat and it's much easier to do steps!

My average so far this week is 17, 877!

LemonDrizzle23 · 03/09/2025 19:54

@HollyGolightly4 NSV is “non-scale victory”, like your jeans fit better, or you didn’t get out of breath climbing stairs for example.

Good day here, managed an hour of weeding, a body project workout, some pilates and a 10km on the bike at the gym during DSs session.

12,000 steps
smashed my move ring
reasonably near calorie goal.

HollyGolightly4 · 03/09/2025 21:15

Thank you @LemonDrizzle23 that's a really great thing to be thinking about! Love that motivation.

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 03/09/2025 22:23

Annoyingly I forgot to weigh before breakfast - I hopped on the scales after breakfast and I was about 1/4lb down on my 1st September weight, but I’ll try to remember to weigh tomorrow.

struggled out exercise over last two days annoyingly, work is just so crazy busy and I’m going to be away tomorrow for a couple of days.

GW 9st 7 (which I haven’t been since I was in my 20s before my first DC)

I am currently the heaviest I’ve ever been, gained weight whilst pregnant with DC3 2 years ago and then just kept gaining since then 😬 I have a real sweet tooth and my downfall is the sweets and cakes available at work! I’m starting off by calorie counting this week and then once older kids are back at school, planning to add in upping my steps.

piccolopuppy · 04/09/2025 06:36

A bit of a mixed bag for me today. I was out for lunch but generally made ok choices, and stuck to the plan for dinner. Dog walk after work.

I've made a real effort to be organised with food recently and it's made such a difference to my ability to stay on track.

frostedshreddie · 04/09/2025 06:41

Morning all. Got up before the kids 🥳 and just done 25 mins weights. Tired tired tired though.
Yesterday took youngest for a treat lunch after first morning at school and also caved into the chocolate mid afternoon again due to tiredness I think.
I tracked it all and I think I finished day at 1750, so not too bad.

WingingIt09 · 04/09/2025 09:31

Morning! Weighed this morning since I missed WoW yesterday. 3lb off for my first week of trying to lose so I’m very happy with that. Definitely some water weight lost in that too so I’m sure it’ll slow down next week. 1st 4lb left till goal!

@piccolopuppybeing organised definitely helps I think. I’ve been going to work armed with loads of fruit and veg snacks this week which has stopped me raiding the biscuit tin when I get peckish. Need to try and keep at it going forward as I’m always better in my first week of eating healthy, it’s the sustaining it that’s an issue 😬

Onionringswithasideofgravey · 04/09/2025 09:45

2lbs down since weigh in earlier this week. First time in the gym today after a very long absence. I managed 40 mins on the treadmill, 400 cals. I have hired a PT who has advised cardio first thing and then weights twice a week with him. I will also do the weekly weight sessions myself when I am not with my PT.

I am massively struggling with food. I love to graze throughout the day. My go to for anything emotional - good or bad - is food. So far I have managed 1 week with no alcohol. This is huge for me as I usually have a glass every night.

Fellsbells · 04/09/2025 11:57

Well done everyone and welcome new joiners.

My weight is down again.
NSV include moving down a hole on my belt and my face is less puffy.

PreetyinPurple · 04/09/2025 12:07

Weight slightly up. Happy Scales predicting I won’t lose another kilo for over a month!
NSV is I am wearing some trousers I couldn’t wear before and they are comfy! My thighs have definitely shrunk with gym work.

FridayNighFeeling · 04/09/2025 12:55

Got on the scales a day late, more or less STS 0.2 up, but lets be real, that's just water/toilet issues.

Great things from others - being organised really helps!

LemonDrizzle23 · 04/09/2025 19:45

Visited dad today and spent a lot of time sitting and chatting, so very little movement and he fed me lunch (lovely!) so no idea how many calories 😂

DH has been away with work virtually all week, so it’s felt like a long old week keeping the fires burning here.

Walking and Pilates are in the calendar for tomorrow and I think my avocados might be ripe for about 3 minutes tomorrow 😂 so I have meals planned. Nearly the weekend!

SummerOak · 04/09/2025 20:58

Had a good day food wise. For breakfast I had protein pancakes, lunch was chicken and spinach and dinner was sheet blueberry pancakes I made for my toddler.
Still sick so haven't left house, but I'm starting to feel better. Think I'll be able to go for long walks on the weekend.

rainbow616 · 05/09/2025 06:39

I am so gutted. I lost 0.4lbs this week. I can’t believe it! It’s so disheartening but I’ve got to keep at it. Hope everyone else had a better week!

A loss is a loss! Keep at it. Up your water if you don’t typically drink much.

TheWayTheLightFalls · 05/09/2025 06:50

StS here, but very happy with my food intake yesterday - about 15 different fruit and veg, including sauerkraut, roasted garlic and sweet potato. Rarely manage enough veg so felt good.

Also had a mug of mushroom coffee, which I get behind a bit more when the weather turns and I need something warm with no caffeine.

frostedshreddie · 05/09/2025 07:29

Woke up late today but I chose sleep as much needed. Can feel DOMS from recent workout. Had a 25 min Pilates workout planned today, might do this after work today instead. Also might go for a walk @ lunch.
Need to get my calories back under control today. Think bc this week has been so chaotic with back to school, it's thrown me a little. We ended up getting a takeaway last night 😳

socks1107 · 05/09/2025 08:34

My weight bounced back a pound yesterday and back down half that today. Wish it was consistent as now my moving average has gone up and I’m never going to make holiday target. Insomnia and some home stress now this are really making me question if I can bothered to carry on.
half a pound a week is a miserable loss and that’s all I’ve been losing really on and off for three months. I can’t be bothered eating so little and loosing so little

Fellsbells · 05/09/2025 09:30

@socks1107 half a pound a week will add up eventually. You’re doing great, sorry you’re not feeling great at the moment. I hope it passes, can you do something for yourself today to make you feel better?

I’m trying to calm my stress with mindfulness and resting when I can. My body is really reacting to it all and unfortunately that triggers IBS. Silver lining is weight loss, but ironically now I’m at goal weight I’d rather be happy and able to eat and exercise like normal. Hopefully the weekend will help.
