⭐️OPEN TO ALL⭐️

It’s never too late to make a change, to make a difference and feel confident in your body. To reach optimum health and vitality we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great! Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and generally eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost around 45lbs.

I’m maintaining at 9st 2lb but I would like to get back into the 8’s 🤞

Are you in😊 What food plan will you be following? What do you want to change and why?

New members … Give it a go; it’s never too late! You'll be pleased you did 😊

Thank you @TheRealHousewife Checking in, ready for September. My goal is to lose 6lbs in 6 weeks ahead of our October holiday and be consistent in using nutracheck for calorie counting.

Marshmellowbunny · 31/08/2025 19:28

Just checking in for September and then I can see the notifications on my home screen!

I have 3 weeks to reach my first goal of being in the 10s by my holiday.

I've got to lose 4.8 pounds by then which should in theory be doable but I'm not going to manage it 🤔 am I writing myself off too soon? I don't know.

I think having that goal by the new year (as I was talking to someone about) might be more reasonable!

Hmmmmm.

frostedshreddie · 31/08/2025 19:46

Thanks for the new thread @TheRealHousewife
Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better ✨

PreetyinPurple · 31/08/2025 20:07

Checking in! I’d like to be under 80kg by October but I’m not going to lose 4kg the way it’s going. So just as close as I can get and also aiming that I can get through a fitness class without feeling like death!

socks1107 · 31/08/2025 20:10

Place marking for month 9!! Can’t believe I’ve stuck to this for nine months and have lost what I have. This will be a strange month as I have a holiday but I’m looking fwd to it and am happier to make better choices now

WoodlandDragon · 31/08/2025 20:17

Slipping back in after a long time off the wagon... The last few months have been a bit hellish and left me almost back where I was at the start of the year 😞 the heat got to me, I got stressed out with work and home stuff, peri symptoms went mad. And I basically stopped exercising and ate instead. A recipe for going backwards let's face it!

But I'm back and ready for another try. Kids are back to school on Tuesday, and have a few weeks of calm before work gets going fully (am a University lecturer). Time enough to build some good habits! And I think the HRT has kicked in which is super helpful for all of the above. I've also been binge-listening to some van Tulleken brothers' podcasts which have given me some confidence that I can make changes to my diet and exercise and make them stick.

My plan for the month is to try to keep it simple. 1800 cals a day on average across the week, move about a fair bit, avoid upf, drink lots of water. Generally try to hit my Fitbit app targets across the board when I average over the week. Hopefully that will do it! Aiming for 0.5kg off per week which would get me firmly below 90kg for October and moving in the right direction again at last.

Looking forward to chatting to everyone on the thread!

FridayNighFeeling · 31/08/2025 20:21

Shiny new name time, but on the last thread having lost 12lbs in 12 weeks Wink

Couple of weeks till my birthday, so would like to hit the stone mark for that and then try and get another by Christmas.

I need to focus on more protein!

You're here now @WoodlandDragon and that's better than sticking your head in the sand till 1st January. Think of how much progress you can make between now and then.

Tiedbutchorestodo · 31/08/2025 20:27

Can I join in - I weighed myself after my holiday and I’m at least 2 stone off an ok weight (3 to get me to top end of normal BMI) and really need to do something about it.

Setting a goal for most of it off before Christmas - starting off just with not snacking and eating a bit smaller portions - lost 6lb in 3 weeks so far … long way to go but have a holiday coming up in October which is making me focus and not slip up for now at least.

Determinedloser · 31/08/2025 20:57

Checking in for a new month. Thanks for the thread @TheRealHousewife and hope you are doing well.

I am not sure if I should set a goal for this month. My weight will come off when it comes off, me telling myself I need 4 or 5lbs off this month just feels pointless when I can’t control it other than sticking to my calories.

I will just be consistent with my calories and continue with my running and what will be will be.

Good luck for September everyone.

LemonDrizzle23 · 31/08/2025 21:23

Thank you for the September thread @TheRealHousewife Glad to hear you’re doing a little better.

My one goal for September is to see a number starting with 13 on the scales, which will involve a 3-4lb loss.

Back in routine as of Wednesday when the schools go back.

DriveVerySlowlyPastNumber23IWantThemToSeeMyHat · 31/08/2025 21:26

May I join please?

I've joined slimming world with 4 and a half stone to lose. I nearly asked the weighing lady if the scales were faulty when I stepped on and it said 16 stone. It's the heaviest I've ever been!

TheWayTheLightFalls · 31/08/2025 21:28

Checking in. Thank you @TheRealHousewife and have a wonderful holiday!

Soooo glad schools are back, Weds for us. Goals for this month are a continuing gentle loss and more variety in the plants I eat.

Medee · 31/08/2025 21:54

My next target date is in September so shall see how I get on. A few treats this weekend though, oops!

biscuitcat · 31/08/2025 22:08

Checking in for September! Thank you for the new thread @TheRealHousewife - hope you have a lovely holiday, much needed I’m sure!

As I said on the last thread, I’d love to lose 6lbs in September which would have me a full 2st down, but if that goal sneaks into October I won’t be too worried. I’d also really like to start couch to 5k - I think I’ll end up being a bit slower than 3 runs per week as DH is away for work a few nights a week and they frown on leaving the baby at home to go for a jog!

FiveShelties · 31/08/2025 22:46

After a complete fail in August I am all ready for a Spectacular September.
1st September weight 10st 8lbs

Plan is to reduce wine consumption, drink more water and log every single thing on Nutracheck.

Fellsbells · 31/08/2025 23:02

Thank you @TheRealHousewife

checking in for tomorrow.

GalaxyStars · 31/08/2025 23:19

Thanks for the thread! I’m going to join too, if that’s ok?! I need to lose at least a stone. I’ve been on holiday and eaten more than I should for the last 6 months. I’m planning to eat overnight oats (with fruit) for breakfast, avoid UPF and snacking and fast after dinner until breakfast. Thanks for the motivation ladies, good luck to us all 🙏

Onionringswithasideofgravey · 01/09/2025 05:10

Place marking

TealSloth · 01/09/2025 05:58

My summer holidays have been a messs. Totally utterly a mess just about kept to same weight all summer though. Hoping to go back into a positive routine no more messing about. Hopefully finger's crossed.
See some positive results on my scales.

PatienceOfEngels · 01/09/2025 06:02

SW 76.8kg beginning August
CW 75.3 or 75.8 depending on if I take yesterday's lower weight or today's!
GW 68kg

For this month I'd like to get below 75!

Thanks for the new thread @TheRealHousewife

JaniceScott · 01/09/2025 06:11

May I join please?

5’ 6”
SW 12 st 3.8 (21st May)
CW 11st 1.2
GW 9st 12

I haven’t been in the 9s since I was in my twenties and I’m 50 now. So that goal might change. I feel too soft round the edges right now, physically and mentally. Daily exercise is helping, though it’s just walking.

Fellsbells · 01/09/2025 07:05

Welcome new joiners.

Happy September everyone. Hope this is a good month for everyone.

I’m starting the month about 6lbs down from the spring. I’ve had an up and down August, but ended on a down so that’s a positive.

Things I need to be mindful of this month are: Not eating more as the weather gets cooler and darker.
Keeping up with running and walking.
Eating what I need, not what I want.
Finding an event to aim for.
Looking into meditation and nurturing myself so that I’m in a strong position to support my family.

Jecstar · 01/09/2025 07:18

Just checking in - thé last thread was so helpful around just making me more mindful about what I’m eating and food. Will weigh on Wed but the last few days have not been great.

New targets are to get back to intermittent fasting, more accurately track calories and to close my activity ring every day.

Really want to see a 12 on the scale before starting new job in November.

frostedshreddie · 01/09/2025 08:03

Whoop Whoop Happy September everyone!!
I love the ber months!!
Welcome new joiners 🤩

This morning I have completed 20 mins Pilates workout.
Food Plan is:
Breakfast Smoothie
Sausage Lasagne for dinner

Not sure about lunch yet. I am visiting a friend for a last summer playdate before kids god back to school, and so lunch is whatever she offers. Either way I will figure it out and try to keep within my calories ✅

TheRealHousewife · 01/09/2025 08:48

Good Morning & Happy 1st September Everyone!

A warm welcome to the new thread newcomers as well as previous members❤️

Sharing the Action for Happiness Calendar again; aptly titled Self-Care September. We all know mental health and weight loss/gain are connected and being mindful of our own well-being and mental health is the ultimate in self care.

My weight has maintained overall - weighing in at 9st 3lbs this morning. Yesterday was 9st 2lb. Aiming to get below 9st this month 🤞 😬.
