It’s never too late to make a change, to make a difference and feel confident in your body. To reach optimum health and vitality we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great! Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and generally eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost around 45lbs.

I’m maintaining at 9st 2lb but I would like to get back into the 8’s 🤞

Are you in😊 What food plan will you be following? What do you want to change and why?

New members … Give it a go; it’s never too late! You'll be pleased you did 😊

Hi everyone
I'm enjoying this thread and will be popping in regularly for any tips and suggestions of some lovely meals.
Today I had one boiled egg with less than half a tin of beans with pepper on.
Lunch was 1 banana and 1 tangerine.
Main meal later will be baked potato done in the air fryer with salad leaves cucumber red onion tomatoe sliced red pepper and half a tub of beetroot salad from Morrisoms which is my new discovery and the plate looks so colourful oh and two slices of thin ham .
I will have a dollop of Greek no fat yoghurt on a few strawberries around 9 pm then an options chocolate drink mint flavoured
Sounds alot when writing it but I'm doing well with this SW plan.
Hope everyone is having a good September second day 👍

FridayNighFeeling · 02/09/2025 15:48

Hi all

Just reporting back from hell family farm on a wet day in the summer holidays

B: Fage, granola (carefully measured 40g) & raspberries
S: hot choc
L: 3x slices of small pizza, melon & kiwi
S: Dairy milk
T: bacon and scrambled egg sandwich

Now I don't track overly accurately, but this is all within my calories for the day! I want to be mindful of what I eat, but not constantly weighing food. As the weight drop, I might of course have to be a lot more careful, but it feels like a good balance for a day out. Thank goodness they're back to school immenently!

Emmadaily · 02/09/2025 16:04

@FridayNighFeeling
Thanks for your tasty rundown of your day's food plan
Worth me trying as like everything you listed

Fellsbells · 02/09/2025 18:14

Reasonable day for me. 5km run this morning. My appetite is still less than normal, probably due to stress and my IBS is bad so I’m eating less than usual. Silver lining is I’ll probably lose weight!

LemonDrizzle23 · 02/09/2025 19:24

Today was the last day of the summer holidays here. Tomorrow will be back into some kind of semblance of routine!

So much sitting around today, and three meals of bread 😂 so no idea what WOW will be tomorrow.

FridayNighFeeling · 02/09/2025 20:08

Definitely not the best day of eating @Emmadaily but find Fage with granola or just some nuts and berries pretty filling. Lunch I try to either have left overs - curry, pasta salad, chilli etc or jacket potato or soup & slice of rye bread. Tea is also not normally so dire, but needed to be quick!

Plan for tomorrow: same breakfast and hot choc to see me through soft play hell in the rain. Lunch left over curry, dahl & rice and tea is gammon & ready made salads

Owwmumo1 · 02/09/2025 21:54

I’m jumping on board!
I am a really fed up yo-yo dieter. I’ve been up and down between 10st and 13.5st for the last 25 years. I’m currently 12st 5lbs and really want to get back down to 10. Hoping to get under 12 by October and under 11 by Christmas. It’s really slow going this year and am hoping that joining you will give me some accountability and support.

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 02/09/2025 21:59

No exercise today (late home from work and a mountain of ironing that needed to be done) but good calorie wise.

B - boiled egg and slice of toast
L - tomato and lentil soup, falafel with humous, fruit, quavers
D - a one pan broccoli, cauliflower, potato, halloumi, pomegranate seed dish

No snacks but I’m about to have a slice of toast. Not exactly healthy, BUT I’m not having a chocolate biscuit so I think that’s better even if calories roughly the same. And I’m within my calorie budget for the day. Even though I haven’t done any exercise today and I work in an office, I’ve managed to rack up 24 exercise minutes on my Apple Watch and close my move ring, so I need to go dance around the kitchen for 6 minutes.

ChelseaDetective · 02/09/2025 23:23

Not a bad day. Yoghurt and an apple for late late breakfast, baked smoked haddock and cabbage for dinner (DH had mash and butter with his) and another apple and 40g of bran flakes (I need the fibre, they’re cheap and count as a meal, unlike expensive fibre supplements) for supper - no snacking, yea!

At the moment I’m not too worried about the sugar in the cereal or the apples as I’m not eating biscuits, crisps or chocolate like before and with no current health concerns an improvement is as good as perfect in my book!

TheWayTheLightFalls · 03/09/2025 06:10

WoW - 73.5kg. Managed a long dog walk in the rain yesterday!

piccolopuppy · 03/09/2025 06:48

Well yesterday was a bit rough (but not terrible) but today was a good day for food. Exercise was only a 15 minute dog walk around the block as I got home late and am knackered!

LegoTherapy · 03/09/2025 06:50

Morning all. I dropped a little towards the end of August after putting on a couple of school holiday pounds. Weighing in at 8st 12lb this morning for my first WOW of the month. I’m expecting some fluid gain after tackling the hills of the school run after so long away as that always seems to happen. I should be clocking up around 10 miles walking today. It’s a 5 mile round walk to take Ds to his music lesson and the school run is the same.
Here’s to a great month!

LemonDrizzle23 · 03/09/2025 07:06

Good morning all! First WOW of September and the holiday lb gain is off, which is nice.

SW: 15 st 8
CW: 14 st 2
End of September goal is to start with a 13.

It’s the first day back at school today and it is absolutely pouring down which is a shame. I think I will be doing a Body Project video rather than going for a walk!

Have also signed up to a programme called Restore your Core, which I’m hoping will address some of my pelvic floor and core strength issues. So I need to add that in 4 times a week I think it suggests. Very Pilates based I think, which I will enjoy.

Best of luck to everyone WOWing and getting their kids back to school in this monsoon….

PatienceOfEngels · 03/09/2025 07:26

WOW 75.3kg. No loss this week but very happy to have maintained my loss from the week before 🎉

Yesterday went to plan food wise until the evening. Managed no snacks in the morning/afternoon at all. 3 healthy filling meals. Resisted the cinnamon rolls. But then had 2 squares of dark mint chocolate and some pistachios and cheese in front of the telly. Exercise wise I did my pf exercises and cycled to football training/post office, but drove into town to save my pf. No yoga either.

Plan for today:
-3x pf exercises/stretches
-cycle along to pick up DC2 from training later

-boiled egg, rye toast, butter, coffee with milk
-pumpkin pancakes with greek yoghurt (cooking up a batch for the freezer)
-sweet and sour chicken with rice

socks1107 · 03/09/2025 07:54

1lb this week for me 😊

SW 13.13
GW1 11.7
GW2 10.7
CW 11.6
I have done 35lbs now so would like to hit 40lbs lost by my birthday in October 🤞

biscuitcat · 03/09/2025 08:04

Good morning WoW-ers! Some amazing losses to see this week 😊

I’ve somehow dropped 3lbs this week, which to be honest, feels a bit undeserved as I’ve not been terribly disciplined and I know I’ve eaten over my calories on a couple of days - but I’ll take it as I imagine it means there’s some slower weeks to come!

SW - 15st10
CW - 14st0.5
September goal - 13st10

Meal plan for the day is my usual yoghurt, honey and strawberries for breakfast, pasta with chicken,
spinach and a white wine sauce for dinner, and will see what I fancy at lunchtime - possibly leftover French onion soup.

We were mean to be going to a lovely outdoor event today but not convinced that’s happening sadly! So need another plan - there’ll definitely be a (damp) dog walk as the poor thing has been a bit under walked recently.

Marshmellowbunny · 03/09/2025 08:13

WOW:
SW: 10 Stone 9.6
CW: 10 Stone 4.6
GW: 9.5

SW: 67.85kg
CW: 65.60kg
GW:59.4kg

.10kg / 0.2lb loss this week. I'm not exactly performing miracles here 🙈 😂 ah well. Slow and steady I suppose. I've been back at work this week and been given free food, so I've not been as on it as I'd like and I am due on this week so I'm hoping it's all that combined that is making the scales not move much!

BUT I need to not beat myself up and realise that it is trending downwards so I have to stay positive.

Going on an all inclusive holiday in 17 days and I've decided that I just want to feel better about myself!

I am going to aim to be in the 9s by new year. It will be hard with Christmas being in there but I'm going to try my hardest leading up to then!

Hope you're all okay and good luck to those WOW today 💖

Jecstar · 03/09/2025 08:18

SW 13st 7
CW 13st 4.25lb

Half a pound drop after no loss the week before. It just feels so slow! Thats a 2.75 lb loss in September. Need to try and up the weekly loss rate if I want to be under 13 stone by November.

Back to work tomorrow so some semblance of routine will be nice. Hoping to keep up the 30min daily walk in my lunch break.
I always feel so inspired by the lovely menus I see being posted on this thread, makes my chicken pasta for dinner tonight very boring in comparison.

frostedshreddie · 03/09/2025 10:04

Happy WOW day everyone, well done for all the losses and STS!!

My weigh in was 10 st 0.8 lb which is 0.4lb gain since last weigh (which was only Sunday 🤣) but still 2 lbs loss since last WOW and the crazy August birthday gains.
So I'm happy with that.

SW: 10 st 8.0
CW: 10 st 0.8
GW: 9 st 7.0

My goal for September is to get back into the 9s.
My other goal (non-scale related) is to sort my morning routine out so I get up before kids and do some form of workout and ready before the crazy school run.
Started off well this morning and did a 15 min weight workout. Not much but want to form the habit first then perfect it later. Let's go!!

Fellsbells · 03/09/2025 10:12

Well done Wowers.

I’m 9st 7lbs today. Which means I’ve lost around 10lbs since March. No plan other than to either maintain or lose a bit more. Mostly want to secure this weight and not gain (again!).

LemonDrizzle23 · 03/09/2025 11:22

Well, additional NSV today - I can now zip my rain coat up without it being skin tight around arse and hips! Handy for the coming week.

PreetyinPurple · 03/09/2025 11:26

SW: 89kilos
CW: 84.8 kilos
GW: under 70kilos

i continue to slowly move back towards the 84.4 I was last week! I just want to be under 80 desperately.

Went to the gym, did my usual workout on machines and I’ve added a workout on the treadmill which has some short runs and I did 5 minutes on the cross trainer.
However my Fitbit said it was a ‘moderate workout’ usually it says intense. Maybe I need to push things. My resting heartbeat is down from when I stared going too.

PatienceOfEngels · 03/09/2025 12:15

Well done Wowers! Lots of NSVs!

MightyGoldBear · 03/09/2025 12:24

Hello everyone can I join. I started in July but then August came and it was very difficult to eat well and exercise with holidays and little people with me 🙈 I'm hoping to get back seeing a 10 on the scales 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

SummerOak · 03/09/2025 12:27

CW: 69.6 kg
GW: 55 kg

I have a long way to go but I'm hoping of achieving my goal weight by June 2026, just in time for a friends wedding.

September has started awfully, I have the worst cold ever, can't wait for it to be over so I can have do some exercises.
I skipped breakfast today, for lunch I'm having meatballs and dinner will be protein pancakes.
