We generally have WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I’m maintaining at 9st 2lb but I would like to get back into the 8’s 🤞

Checking in for an end of the month weigh in of 55.5kg. I haven’t been doing anything at all about my weight but at least it’s settled in the 55s. 8st 10lb. I can live with that although the pre-diabetes advice is to get to 54kg.
there is no chance of me catching up on the thread but hello to everyone and I hope the bastard scales are not being bastards and that you’re all ok.

Well I’ve found myself doing the whole “will start again on Monday” 🙄 DH cooked a glorious roast this evening, and I’ve had more crisps.
Back on it from tomorrow, but annoying to have sabotaged myself so close to a goal!!!!

I think this has been me all year @LemonDrizzle23. it’s like I know I can do it when I put my mind to it, then something comes up and I’m ‘next week, next month…’ September has been exactly that. At least I’m not putting weight on I guess.

Looking ahead to October, we have a half term holiday, but social life quiet apart from that so can hopefully chalk up some losses and exercise regularly. November is already looking a bit 🙈 though - birthday celebrations and trips aplenty.

It looks like I'm ending Sept with a miserable 5lbs loss and 0.4% loss in body fat. After being at the gym EVERY SINGLE DAY FOR A SEPT WITH A PT, I am more than disappointed But, I must have eaten above my calories, because I have worked so bloody hard in the gym.

I need to do better in Oct. It's all or nothing for Oct.

You may be tired of hearing this but fwiw - weight loss happens in the kitchen, not the gym. I know it's incredibly, incredibly frustrating when you are putting in all that work each day.

I wouldn’t call 5lbs miserable! Keep it up for a year and that’s over 4 stone - and losing at that pace is much more likely to be sustainable. It’s also likely with your exercise that you’ve built muscle, which weighs more than fat, so visually it might look more than 5lbs - have you been taking photos/measurements too?

Today’s menu for me:

B - Greek yoghurt with strawberries and honey
L - matzo crackers with chicken, grapes on the side
D - ravioli with a white wine sauce and a salad (and a glass of the wine which doesn’t go into the sauce!)

A trainer who I came across on Instagram recently has a motto which I’ve found really useful - ‘have what you want and add what you need’. So if you fancy chocolate or crisps or whatever, have it but on the side have something which is much more nutrient dense like fruit/veg/greek yoghurt etc. I’m doing it with my dinner today, where I really fancy pasta with a creamy sauce so I’m adding a decent sized salad too. It’s quite basic really, but nice and pithy so I find it easy to bear in mind!

Nearly at the end of another month!

We’ve had some great results in here in September. My weight jumped a wee bit this morning so I’ll save a final weigh in for tomorrow in case the scales are kind to me and give me an extra bit off.

Ive had the most disappointing day food wise today. Opened a Rice Krispie square thinking it was the normal kind and realised it was cookies and cream (yuck) but ate it anyway then opened a bag of popcorn, realised it was a bit stale but couldn’t be bothered going back to the kitchen so ate it anyway. What a waste of calories!

@socks1107 I can see such a difference in you! How do you manage to speak to a nutritionist via Nutracheck? That sounds interesting. Hope you’re having a fantastic holiday.

LegoTherapy · 29/09/2025 16:59

5lbs is a fantastic loss for a month. A lb a week is great, sustainable weight loss.

What’s your calorie deficit each day?

TheWayTheLightFalls · 29/09/2025 18:25

Omad here - beans and eggs around 10am and then just eleventy million black coffees. Tomorrow will be more normal I reckon.

PreetyinPurple · 29/09/2025 18:27

I’ve lost about half a kilo in September. Insane! Need to find where the balance is wrong.

WearyAuldWumman · 29/09/2025 19:11

Ate more than usual on Saturday, because I was meeting a relative for lunch. Back to normal for Sunday.

Today: cornflakes for breakfast; lentil soup, cheese toastie and salad for lunch; soft boiled egg for tea.

45 minute pilates class followed by leg workout: 3X10 for calf raise (30kg); leg curls (20kg); leg press, concentrating on inner thighs (40kg).

LemonDrizzle23 · 29/09/2025 20:16

Scales aren’t looking too bad this morning. Need to remember that a couple of dodgy days is not the end of things as long as you get back on it. Pushing hard to see that 13 now. I refuse to continue to self sabotage!!

How do you get through the day on omad? Really interested in doing this. Any advice would be good. Ty

Lots of calorie free liquid - sparkling water, coffees, herbal teas etc. But tbh I can’t always do it, it requires a certain type of day when I’m busy but not doing anything too demanding and not near my kitchen or expecting to eat with my family. And the one meal I eat is high in protein usually, that helps. It often has shades of English breakfast.

biscuitcat · 30/09/2025 07:58

My official end of the month weigh in and I’m 2st down! Really chuffed with that - thank you ladies so much, I think having such a lovely supportive space has honestly made all the difference.

Today’s menu:

B - Greek yoghurt with strawberries and honey
L - egg scramble with veg and some chips
D - minced beef and veg tacos

Determinedloser · 30/09/2025 09:18

Disappointing end to the month for me as have gained 2.2lbs over the weekend however looking back exactly the same thing happened this time last month so can only put it down to being on my period.

So according to new weight I have only lost 1.6lbs this month but really it’s been more.

SW 30/07 11 stone

Would love to hit that interim goal by late November as going away for the weekend.

Marshmellowbunny · 30/09/2025 12:46

Hey All,
I am back from my holiday! I got back on Sunday but thought I'd wait a couple of days to weigh to try and get rid of some water weight and stuff. I managed to only put on 3.8lbs despite it being all inclusive and drinking nearly every day! I can't believe it's the end of September already! But October is the best month so I'm happy.

Although, next goal is to be in the 9s by January. It's not that much to lose (4lbs) but birthday is coming up and Christmas is in there...so will see.

There seems to be a lot of disappointment being posted about. I hope you're all okay. Remember, your weight doesn't determine your worth 🧡 life is short and even a small loss or sts is something!

FridayNighFeeling · 30/09/2025 12:55

Just checking in for the end of the month. I haven't really lost much this month - think 1kg/2lbs, but ready to refocus.

Breakfast yesterday and today has been Fage, nuts and honey with hot choc - compromise the name of the game indeed.

Are we going to hang out on this thread seeing as it's not full or if @TheRealHousewife doesn't pop up tomorrow would someone else like to start a new one?

Positives: booked osteopath, protein at breakfast and a gorgeous day so can walk to the library which involves a big hill on the return journey

LemonDrizzle23 · 30/09/2025 14:13

Well I am 3lbs down overall in September, and less than half a pound away from the elusive 13s - I feel it coming by the end of this week!
Looking back through nutracheck, I’ve eaten way too much crap - crisps, sweets and chocolate - which has slowed my progress. Need to try a bit harder in October and will aim for a 4-5lb loss, roughly 1lb a week.

Hope to see you all on the new thread!

WearyAuldWumman · 30/09/2025 14:19

Weight is sticking, but managed things I would once have thought impossible for me in stretch class. Followed up with full upper body workout in gym, so surprised and pleased.

Having lunch. Firemen inspecting gym. Found myself pulling in stomach as I passed them…

HappyLittleTreeFriend · 30/09/2025 14:22

Just checking in for the end of the thread! Well I had my big weekend out with friends and definitely drank a lot and had a full English on Sunday morning but pleased to say I didn’t go totally rogue and got back on my calorie counting yesterday and today - I’ve deffo eaten more bread today already than I usually would but by tomorrow think I’ll be back in the swing of things again!

B - crumpet with butter and marmite, coffees with oat milk
L - Chicken soup and sourdough toast
D - Cod and chorizo Fishcake, parsnips, broccoli and peas

snacks - I had a Toffee Crisp bar so will try and avoid chocolate the next couple of days!

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 30/09/2025 20:59

I haven’t lost anything in September, but I only have myself to blame. I am sure @TheRealHousewife will be along to set us up for October (and if not, I hope she’s ok).

wherewillwegoto · 30/09/2025 21:00

I weighed myself Sunday, didn't have a chance to update til now.

Morning! WoW here is 72.7kg. I’m continuing to lose slowly, just in a “stock market crash” pattern of zigzags. Again finished eating early yesterday bar a few of the kids’ chips at dinner time, and will hold off til 10am.

LegoTherapy · 01/10/2025 06:32

Why am I always constipated a few days before weigh day?! No changes here. Happy October!
