⭐️OPEN TO ALL⭐️

It’s never too late to make a change, to make a difference and feel confident in your body. To reach optimum health and vitality we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great! Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and generally eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost around 45lbs.

I’m maintaining at 9st 2lb but I would like to get back into the 8’s 🤞

Are you in😊 What food plan will you be following? What do you want to change and why?

New members … Give it a go; it’s never too late! You'll be pleased you did 😊

Well done all, there's some good stuff going on.

I'm now back to 1 stone off after birthday celebrations and period. Hoping to build on that and get to 2 stone around Christmas - but at the moment I just feel like snuggling up with hot chocolate sigh

Left over chilli and rice for lunch and a bun with pulled pork, coleslaw and sweet potato fries for dinner Smile

In quite a bit of pain with back/hip at the moment. Does anyone have experience of physio over osteopath? I'm drawn to to the all female osteo - both v. expensive so don't want to get it wrong!

I've seen NHS physios - both male and female. (The females were better, I thought, but I might be biased.)

I currently pay privately for a female osteopath and find that she's really good - she recommends exercises but also diagnoses and gives massages to problem areas. I feel that she's made a difference to my poorly back, hips and knees.

Oh yes - she also strapped up a problematic knee for me at one point, and hit helped.

PreetyinPurple · 26/09/2025 13:34

so still no weight loss. I did try on a target top last night. It’s a 14 and it goes over your head and I used to be bursting out of it. It went on okay, not really big enough to wear quiet yet.
went to the gym yesterday and a class this morning.

HappyLittleTreeFriend · 26/09/2025 13:34

I forgot to comment (I think?? Having a very busy week 😅) but I did remember to weigh on Wednesday this week and I’m back into the 9s yay! Only just, scales showing 9st 11 but I’m chuffed 😊👌💜 I’ve been very mindful of banking calories for this weekend as I’m out with friends on Saturday and we’ll be eating out and drinking, I think I’ve banked enough that I’ll still finish this week in a deficit 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 tonight I don’t feel like cooking so I think me and DP will have ready meals for an easy dinner and I’ll do the kids something simple too!

FjordFancier · 26/09/2025 16:21

Well done @HappyLittleTreeFriend that’s brilliant!

I too have FINALLY made it to 9.12! Super happy.
I've been supplementing with some aminos which are helping to reduce my ridiculous over thinking and general anxiety. And I heard back from the rescue that my dog has settled down and is behaving very well. They sent 2 photographs of him playing and he looks so happy.
This has made me feel much happier and I need to be mindful not to celebrate with food and alcohol.
Have a lovely weekend All!

TheWayTheLightFalls · 26/09/2025 17:56

Had a late breakfast, lunch and then closed the kitchen at around 3pm. Just coffee etc now, til the morning.

FridayNighFeeling · 26/09/2025 19:14

Have you got a link to that @FjordFancier anxiety and overthinking overdrive here.

Thanks @WearyAuldWumman I think I'm going to book the appt. I just don't have the time to go in the day so going directly but paying £££ seems like the best route at the moment. I liked the idea of it being integrated like you say.

TheWayTheLightFalls · 27/09/2025 08:23

Down again this morning. The eat early, finish early (like 2/3pm) model is definitely the most impactful for me for weight loss, but it isn’t always possible with my life / children’s needs.

socks1107 · 27/09/2025 09:54

Good morning! It’s holiday day!!!

The last nine months on here building to today and I’m 36lbs down. Not quite where I wanted to be be but not far off really (6lbs) and some memories popped up of my holiday last September and it’s a huge difference visually, plus all the new clothes in my case and I’ve given myself a kick as I’ve really achieved a good weight loss. Won’t be counting all week, will eat mindfully and I’m good at that now and will be back to it for the last stone when I get home.

the nutrucaheck nutritionist has confirmed I’m in a plateau and given some tips for when I get back.

but for this week it’s no counting calories 😃. Have a lovely week all - keep going whether it’s maintain or lose or gain we are still being accountable.

thanks for everyone’s support up to this point for me. I’ve popped on a pic if they’ll show it

@socks1107 that’s a fantastic change! Well done to you 👏 I hope you have an excellent holiday.

We ate and drank a load of crap today whilst watching the women win the World Cup rugby final. Go England! I am now still snacking and watching Ace Ventura. Back on it tomorrow….

TealSloth · 27/09/2025 22:47

Hi all I've had one heavy negative week. Hoping to have a better week from Monday tommorow try and stay on top of positive vibe. Restart back on Monday without any hiccups anyone tries to mess my week up my job will be ignore and keep on going. Not many days before I step into October no more messing up.
Ive tend very hard to maintain my progress no more mess ups.

biscuitcat · 28/09/2025 07:14

You look incredible @socks1107! You can absolutely see the difference.

My weigh in this morning has me 2st down! I’m really chuffed to see that number on the scale - I don’t know that I’ll necessarily ‘own’ it this week as the final celebration meal is today, but a couple of months ago it was a pipe dream so knowing that sticking to the plan is working feels really good. I’d love another stone off by Christmas but at a minimum, I’d like to be in the next stone ‘bracket’ down.

JaniceScott · 28/09/2025 08:56

Morning, everyone!

I joined this thread at the start of September and then had a weird month so put losing weight on the back burner. Was reading through these inspiring posts and thought I should see how much damage I’ve done and I’ve lost around 3lbs this month! Maybe I should have weird months more often 😁

It’s looking like a beautiful, autumnal day, so I’m off for a walk. Hope you all have lovely Sundays and thank you for the inspiration, even though I lurked rather than joined in.

PreetyinPurple · 28/09/2025 13:15

So I have been eating slightly more and the scale is kinda shifting. I’m down to my lowest weight I was a month ago.
Happy Scale now says I will hit my next target in 8 weeks rather than 3 years!

Been to the gym, increased some weights, did a lot of
cardio.

frostedshreddie · 28/09/2025 14:12

Hi All, I've dropped off the thread a bit whilst moving house! Need to go back and catch up on thread!! Moving house all went smoothly but has thrown me off massively for eating anything remotely healthy and obviously no workouts - so exhausted!! Hoping to jump back on on the October thread and get back into a new routine. Not gna weigh until then 🙈 hope everyone is doing well!

FridayNighFeeling · 28/09/2025 14:32

Some good stuff

My plan for the week is protein for breakfast. While I can technically fit hot choc and a pastry into my calories, it's not a good way to start the day... Blush so either greek yogurt, fruit/nuts and hot choc or egg muffin with bacon, mushroom, mini tomato in.

Would also love to get the next stone off by Christmas. Going to ring tomorrow to book the osteopath because if I can improve my mobility/pain, that will definitely help.

Emmadaily · 28/09/2025 14:36

@socks1107
Hi just seen your before and after pic's
Well done
That's a great achievement ☺ Succh a difference 👏
The last few posts are great reading to
Oh yes another stone zone is always good .
Well done everyone ☺
This is a great thread for support and accountability.
Nearly October a new month and hopefully a good push going forward to Christmas
Xx

WearyAuldWumman · 28/09/2025 20:20

So...My backside and waist are definitely smaller and my bust has gone down. However, a blouse that I've tried on seems a bit tighter to me. I'm wondering whether it's because I've been working on my lats and lower back?

It sounds barmy, but my arm muscles had wasted away at one point and I've built those back up again, so maybe I've done the same with my lats? Who knows.

LemonDrizzle23 · 28/09/2025 20:36

Well I’ve found myself doing the whole “will start again on Monday” 🙄 DH cooked a glorious roast this evening, and I’ve had more crisps.
Back on it from tomorrow, but annoying to have sabotaged myself so close to a goal!!!!

Easily done when you're close to a finishing line.

I think things get pushed up as they are tightening up! I get this in my hips, everything moves up before starting to shrink.

Thank you, Preety.

At church today, the hall keeper commented that I'd lost more weight. (She was being positive - she knows that I'm trying to get fit.)

I couldn't understand why, since I'm wearing the same outfit as the last time I saw her and my actual weight has hardly moved. However, I've realised that my size 18 trousers are now really baggy at the thighs. (Unfortunately, I still need the elasticated waist for my girth - my 'orrible belly is still a size 20.)

I've decided to donate my size 20 evening skirt to the charity shop. It has an elasticated waist and it now hangs like a sack on me.

I'm resisting buying new clothes until I absolutely have to, but I have just taken receipt of a couple of pairs of Sweaty Betty sales leggings - size XL, which apparently is for 16/18.
