Following on from ☀️LOSE IT!☀️ Juicy July 2025☀️

⭐️OPEN TO ALL⭐️

It’s HOT HOT HOT!

It’s never too late to make a change, to make a difference and feel confident in your body. To reach optimum health and vitality we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great! Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and generally eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost around 45lbs.

Currently I’m maintaining at 9st 2lb but I would like to get back into the 8’s 🤞

Are you in😊 What food plan will you be following? What do you want to change and why?

New members … Give it a go; it’s never too late! You'll be pleased you did 😊

Just had a massive pile of Chinese chips for dinner after my food shop didn’t appear. Should be within calories but doesn’t bode well for tomorrow’s WOW.

FunMum2019 · 05/08/2025 22:29

Day 5 of 16:8, just under 4 lbs down (yes I know it's probably all water, but water takes up space too!!). Eating very healthily, and at the bonkers stage where I've rediscovered a taste for healthy things and am boring everyone like mad about just how delicious fruit is. Will be walking more, doing some weights, yoga, and grow with jo workouts, and finishing it up with Callanetics to make the weight loss visible!! Keep going everyone :)

TealSloth · 06/08/2025 06:38

Morning all am still traying my best to go back to 1400 calories finish. But not possible. Need to start this week. Its been busy 2 weeks following into 3rd week. But I will not give up on myself. That's my promise to myself.
Need a solid routine and I will get into it.

biscuitcat · 06/08/2025 07:14

Good morning WOW-ers!

I’m just under 1lb down this week, which I think feels about right given how I’ve eaten. Ideally I’d lose 5lbs over the next 4 weeks to meet my August goal, I hope I can do that, it doesn’t feel unachievable. As well as eating right, I want to try and really up my steps (which the dog will appreciate!).

I tried on my new, size down, jeans yesterday and not only do they fit, they look much better than the old ones! Still 2-3 more dress sizes to go ideally, as this makes me a small/comfortable 16 and I’d like to be a 10-12 (my shoulders are broad so I’d look silly very tiny, and also don’t think I’d be able to maintain it), but pleased with the progress.

LemonDrizzle23 · 06/08/2025 07:20

Morning WOWers! Quick check in here as we’re out for the day.
It’s a “stayed the same” here this week, which is a bit annoying, but I suppose I should take as a win after another manic week of summer holidays. Next week should be a bit calmer, but then we go on holiday the following week, so I’m not actually sure it’ll get any easier 😂
Hope everyone gets good losses this week.

TheWayTheLightFalls · 06/08/2025 07:36

Morning! No WoW here as we’re still away. I’m broadly maintaining 16:8 even though the foods I eat are stodgier than I would like. Interested to see what the scales show when I get home. Having a black coffee on the balcony for now.

frostedshreddie · 06/08/2025 07:38

Hey Everyone, my WOW is -0.2 of a lb. Painfully slow!! BUT I am not moaning, a loss is a loss and my goal for August was to stay permanently in the 9s because I haven't seen it for so long! Also my birthday this week so it will be tricky for sure, with family meet ups and lots of cake.

SW: 10 st 8.0lb
CW: 9st 13.2lb
GW: 9st 7lb

I am off work today with the kiddos.
About to do a 25 min tabata HIIT workout then planning on breaking my fast about 1pm/2pm. I have a cream cheese bagel planned for lunch, and fish, potatoes and peas for dinner.

Determinedloser · 06/08/2025 07:52

Well done everyone!

1.8 off for me.

SW 11 stone
CW 10 stone 12.2
GW 10 stone

Happy scale is predicting I will reach my goal by the first week in October so I am determined to see this through until then.

My wow is another 1lb this week. But I feel it’s more but very constipated!

SW 13.13
CW 11.11.8

i am hoping to set my new target this next week ready for my September holiday

Fellsbells · 06/08/2025 08:20

Well done WOWers.

I’m up a bit today because of yesterday’s meal out and hormones. I don’t expect it will hang around for long. I’m mostly in a calorie deficit so fingers crossed it will drop off soon.

Jecstar · 06/08/2025 08:20

Only 0.5 of a lb loss but better than nothing I guess. Think I need to adjust my
mindset to this is not going to be as quick as I thought it would be!

SW: 13st 7lb
CW: 13st 6.5lb
GW: be into the 12st bracket by the time I start my new job.

Not working today so am going to drive out to a nature reserve near me and walk the long loop they have. I have tracked on nutracheck but perhaps not as accurately/everything I could have so that’s is something to work on for this week.

TheWayTheLightFalls · 06/08/2025 08:34

NSV - this is a new size 12 dress I have just put on and I love how it looks on me.

@TheWayTheLightFallsyou look amazing!! Well done! X

PatienceOfEngels · 06/08/2025 08:51

Going to hold off with Wow until next week since I only weighed in on Sunday.

Have mostly managed to stick to my food plan (3x meals with minimal UPF, fruit snack, no eating after dinner) with the exception of a few licorice allsorts and a few slices of cheese before bed last night. I was craving something sweet so badly yesterday afternoon and evening!

I did find have legumes for 2 meals in a row meant I felt uncomfortably bloated last night and I ate slightly more than I wanted to rather than putting the leftovers in the fridge for today! Skipped yoga yesterday as well.

For lunch I might have my last soup out of the freezer with a homemade flatbread.
Tonight going to do Indonesian style rice with smoked peppered mackerel.

PropertyGeek525 · 06/08/2025 09:04

Well done to those sticking with it and staying accountable whether it’s a loss, gain or stayed the same.

It is my first weigh in today. I’m 159lbs which means I’ve lost 2 lbs. 🙌. I’m happy with that. I hope to lose 2 lbs each week in Aug and then reduce to 1 lb/ week from September.

I’ve been working on reducing my portion sizes and cut out evening snacking. I stop eating when I feel full and put the rest in the fridge for my next meal. Surprisingly, I’ve had more energy and my workouts have felt easier, I must have been weighing myself down with all the extra food I was eating.
On Sunday evening I had a small mishap, instead of making homemade prawn fried rice as planned I had Chinese takeaway (bbq ribs) and a white chocolate magnum. Annoyingly, I didn’t really enjoy them and I only had them because the rest of my family were indulging plus I had an awful stomach ache afterwards. Lesson learned!

SW 161lbs
CW 159lbs
GW 154lbs by 1st Sept

I’m optimistic for the week ahead. Good luck everyone.

PreetyinPurple · 06/08/2025 09:10

Weight is stuck at the moment. I am eating well within my calories, keeping active and zero is happening. Waiting for a parcel or I would go out for a walk.

socks1107 · 06/08/2025 09:18

@TheWayTheLightFalls you look lovely 🥰

NothingTraLaLa · 06/08/2025 09:46

Since yesterday morning’s weigh-in horrified me, I have lost 2lbs! Yes, I realise it’s water and waste and yesterday was an outlier, but I think it’s given me the push I needed to do something about it.

SW 125 lbs
CW 123 lbs
TW (initial) 120 lbs

PatienceOfEngels · 06/08/2025 17:08

Well done to everyone making progress with WoW! (not me 😂!)

Made this today for dinner. Added mushrooms and replaced spring onions with broccoli. Made my own red curry paste (had ginger and garlic and tomato puree, then raided the dry spices). Added in peanut satay sauce and crispy onions on top, though DH and DS moaned about tiny bones in the fish.

Have leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Would also be nice with shredded chicken.

Have been mostly on plan today with food. Just need to do my yoga and stay off the cheese tonight in front of the TV.

I usually walk loads and haven't been getting my steps in the last week. Think maybe I overdid it the first week of our holiday.

On the table in just 20 minutes and cheap to make too, this one-pan supper will satisfy everyone

HazelNotHungryLC · 06/08/2025 18:04

I don't remember posting last week!
Last week I weighed 166lbs on Wednesday.

SW: 167.3lbs on 21st July
CW: 165.2lbs
GW: 155lbs (although will be happy to be under 160 at this point!)
Loss so far: 2.1lbs.

I weigh daily so I see all of the fluctuations, but my weight is trending downwards so I'm happy.

dayslikethese1 · 07/08/2025 09:02

Not weighing weekly but I know from MFP that I'm down 13lbs since I started tracking back in June. Going to make some soda bread today and eat some leftover chicken salad. Yesterday I actually saw my waist and since I'm very apple shaped, it doesn't usually make much of an appearance so I'll take that as a visual win 😅

PreetyinPurple · 07/08/2025 09:04

I’m eating within my calories, keeping as active as possible and today my weight is up again. I don’t know if I am retaining water. I was consistently losing a small amount, I’ve got so far to go.

BlueOysterCultGroupie · 07/08/2025 09:08

STS here, but just going to keep going. It's got to be lifestyle change. Off for my smear test deep joy and a coffee with a friend. Tomorrow I will be walking into town - a 5 mile round trip and a trip to London on Saturday which is always exhausting/many millions of steps.

BlueOysterCultGroupie · 07/08/2025 09:10

@PreetyinPurple just keep swimming. Look at your weight regularly and hopefully there will be a downward trend overall. I've lost half a stone, but have at least another 1 1/2 to go so in for the long haul. It didn't come on overnight and it won't all be gone overnight either. Flowers
