⭐️OPEN TO ALL⭐️

It’s HOT HOT HOT!

It’s never too late to make a change, to make a difference and feel confident in your body. To reach optimum health and vitality we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great! Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and generally eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost around 45lbs.

Currently I’m maintaining at 9st 2lb but I would like to get back into the 8’s 🤞

Are you in😊 What food plan will you be following? What do you want to change and why?

New members … Give it a go; it’s never too late! You'll be pleased you did 😊

SW: 89kg
CW: 85.4kg
GW: 70kg or lower

I was actually 84.4kg the other day but it just disappeared. Hopefully creeping back down to it.

Well done everyone 🤩

@Marshmellowbunnythank you, you are too!!
Pre-children I was around 9st so I figure 9 st 7lbs is a good goal, at least initially! At my heaviest I was just over 12 st, and I have not seen the 9s for around 5 years until the beginning of this month! I fluctuate so much!

I might make 9'7 my goal too 😂 You've been in them recently which in itself is inspirational! Thank you for being so awesome and posting about it.

I don't even fluctuate...I've just been going upwards 🙈🤣 I am now determined to get back into the 9s.

frostedshreddie · 27/08/2025 16:54

We got this @Marshmellowbunny💪🏻

Oh yeahhh.

I'm going on an all inclusive holiday soon so I think my goal is going to be into the 9s by new year 💪🏻

Oh yeah. We totally got this!

biscuitcat · 27/08/2025 17:42

I am utterly exhausted today - luckily I skipped breakfast and didn’t have too much for lunch so can have takeaway for dinner within(ish) my calories (though saying that, I’m so tired I’d be doing it either way!). We don’t have it often so I need to think what I’m most in the mood for… imagine when I weigh in the morning the salt will do a number on the scale!

Tomorrow is DS’s last day of nursery so I’ve baked brownies for the staff to send in tomorrow and was very good and only had a few crumbs rather than holding some back!

PreetyinPurple · 27/08/2025 18:00

I did my first class last night and it was hard. But I felt okay this morning so I went to the gym, realised i didn’t feel as good as I thought. Been absolutely shattered and sore this afternoon. Total day off tomorrow.

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 27/08/2025 20:41

No loss this week, but I maintained so that’s something. I’ve been exhausted for days, then my period started yesterday. I’ve noticed this has been a real thing over the past few months. Along with craving junk in the same few days. Honestly, I’m in my 50s, I should be done with this!

just over 6 weeks to a villa holiday. Must focus. DH is on a mission, I hope it rubs off!

I lost 2lb this week and finally into the 12 stones. I'd love to be in the 11s so another stone to go.

frostedshreddie · 28/08/2025 06:19

@WhatWouldTheDoctorDolots can be done in 6 weeks :)

I have had such a shocking night sleep. It was gone 3am before I finally fell asleep and just got up at 6.10am 😴 got a super busy day at work today too, think that's why I couldn't switch off bc my brain was thinking of all the things I have to do today.

I'm gna do 20 mins yoga now before I get ready for work and try to not be a zombie today 😆

Well done on all the losses everyone!

Keep going! I’ve dropped from 13.13 into the 11s and it’s worth the effort I promise!

Jecstar · 28/08/2025 07:47

Stayed the same at 13st 4.75lb have had a nice week of doing lots of social things so probably haven’t been as accurate with tracking and had more alcohol than usual so am ok with that. Think trying to do 30mins of walking everyday has also helped.

Have wanted to give reformer Pilates a go for ages and have seen today a local studio is offering a deal of three classes for £50 and as it’s payday I’m quite tempted. Does anyone else do machine pilates and how do you find it?

PostpartumMum · 28/08/2025 10:32

Hi everyone,

Wondered if I could join please? I have a 7 week old baby and a 2 year old who I am both breastfeeding and I'm struggling to lose the weight I gained during pregnancy and to eat anything nutritious! I am very hungry and just fancying the quick and easy carby stuff and worried I'm not getting enough nutrients in at all! Also not finding any time for exercise which I previously enjoyed so hoping for some motivation to get back on that as I now have 2 children to run round after (well, will do when DD is on the move anyway! DS is permanently on the move and is like lightning!)

SW/CW 56.2 (hopefully - haven't weighed since Sunday and have been very hungry since then and not making great choices nutrition-wise)

You are very welcome but 7 weeks is very, very new. Your body is recovering and I can imagine how your sleep is disrupted and everything still feels up in the air. At this stage I would concentrate on buying in some easy fruits and veggies, healthy ready meals, drinks that aren't sugary... anything that's nourishing for your body. Once things settle a bit you will find it easier to get back to yourself x

PostpartumMum · 28/08/2025 10:59

Thanks @TheWayTheLightFalls 🙂 That's all good advice. At the very least I want to make sure I'm not putting additional weight on, which happened last week, so keen to keep an eye on it and not make things more difficult for myself x

frostedshreddie · 28/08/2025 15:34

Welcome @PostpartumMum!! I remember with my 2nd feeling ready to get back to it and lose the weight much earlier on in postpartum, especially compared to with my eldest where I don't think I even fully thought a single straight thought whilst recovering! I was never someone who lost the weight easy with breastfeeding (booo!!) which just seems to so unfair 🤣 I remember doing lots of walks with baby in pram and toddler running around and that was my daily exercise! You can do this :)

Tiredness has hit me now but on track to stick to my 1400 calories today 👍🏻 early night tonight me thinks!

Fellsbells · 29/08/2025 07:37

This week I haven’t done any exercise, I haven’t tracked calories and I haven’t made any effort to eat well. I have started my period and felt stressed and I’ve lost nearly 4lbs. It’s ridiculous and just proves how frustrating weight loss is as a woman when hormones rule over everything. No doubt it will all go back on again next week.

Another weigh and I’ve stuck for a second week. Been really strict with my deficit so feel a bit fed up.

socks1107 · 29/08/2025 08:21

I’ve hit a new low this morning. Thrilled as that stall was making me lose my mind. I’ll be so very close to the goal I set for holiday, I wound quite make but close enough to be happy.

@littlecarrot12try bumping up your calories. I’ve increased by 100 and I’m dropping again every few days now

Marshmellowbunny · 29/08/2025 08:35

Hey All,
I hope it's okay to post not on a WOW. I've never done it before! 😂

I just felt like I wanted to tell you all about my NSV although it is a scale victory as well so I don't know.

Anywaaaay.

I weighed today and I am back to the weight they weighed me at during my first couple of weeks on holiday. So I'm feeling pretty pleased with myself.

Another user posted a link to this Mel Robbins episode
https://open.spotify.com/episode/2EV0Mv07qs5XzmYwfJZg08?si=xkgrKLATXiCusQD6CTdMQ
(sorry I can't find the post again, but thank you if it was you!)

Anyhoo, I listened to it and she says as women we shouldn't be IF and we should eat something before exercise. Well, I'm a serial faster and I do struggle to eat before I workout but I've eaten some sourdough toast before my last couple of runs and lo and behold, I'm now at my lowest, so I'm going to keep it up.

Anyways, this is purely anecdotal on my part but the episode is definitely worth a listen if you have sometime.

Hope you've all had a fabulous week 🥰

LittleCarrot12 · 29/08/2025 08:53

@socks1107 Thanks. The whole eat more , lose more confuses me but I’m sure there is a science to it!

Me neither I cannot understand it but it works! I’m a new low today.

good luck with the increase

frostedshreddie · 29/08/2025 10:55

@Marshmellowbunnypost as often as you like!
I am going to listen to this after my recent blip with IF and my cycle. I think I started it before actually 🤔

Marshmellowbunny · 29/08/2025 13:26

@frostedshreddie

Thank you 🥰
And you should, it's really interesting and actually makes a lot of sense. After all, it's true. Women are not just small men 👍🏻

frostedshreddie · 29/08/2025 17:59

Last 2 days where I have been Strict and stuck to my calories, MFP has told me if I continue will be at my goal weight in 5 weeks 🤯 it's very motivating to read but hard to imagine I could ever possibly achieve that. Let's see!!

Today I completed a 30 mins strength/power workout and finishing the day at 1450 calories.
Tomorrow going to a trampoline park with the kids so that's my cardio sorted 🤣

TheWayTheLightFalls · 29/08/2025 18:00

NSV - bought new jeans for autumn/winter and the size 12s properly fit me. Bought 12 and 14 to check and - 12 it is. Woohoo! I’m an apple and bought wide leg jeans with turn-up bottoms which seem to suit me.

Had an omelette for breakfast today, toastie for lunch, plus dessert, and will skip dinner. My WoF is 73.7kg.
