It’s HOT HOT HOT!

It’s never too late to make a change, to make a difference and feel confident in your body. To reach optimum health and vitality we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great! Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and generally eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost around 45lbs.

Currently I’m maintaining at 9st 2lb but I would like to get back into the 8’s 🤞

I have stayed away from the snacks this week. But evening meals have not been as tasty as I had hoped the last 2 days. DH did tinned soup again yesterday which I'm not a fan of and he made a pasta bake today that was not fully cooked (he said it was al dente but it was just gross). I love my for so find it really disappointing when he does stuff like this (usually he cooks really well but this week he's been very stressed and in a mood so he hasn't made the effort - both days I was home after him otherwise I would have whipped up something much tastier!).

So, in the spirit of good eating, this weekend I am going to try and make pan pizza, finished in the oven (I love making pizza but our oven needs replacing) and on Sunday meatballs in red wine gravy with veg and rice.

My pf is really struggling at the moment. Must do my exercises more regularly, do yoga, meditate and walk. Taught 6 hours back to back today and was struggling after hour 4 at lunch.

Also having more regular hot flushes and sweating like nobody's business at certain moment. I hate being a woman sometimes.

I’m also the lowest weight I’ve been in 2025. Really surprised and I can only put it down to stress and hormones. This weight was my initial goal. I don’t feel like it’s where I want to be though so I’ll keep going and hopefully not regain.

I'm trying to up my protein for breakfast so I raided this From the fridge. I added a pouched egg, otherwise it's my 2 year olds leftovers from the past couple of days, including his rejected bran flakes. And we had a box of sliced gammon. This was after a run. I struggle with calorie counting but does this look like a healthy breakfast?

So depressed 😔 I weighed myself as haven’t for the past two weeks and I am back up 5lbs to 132.8lb!!

I didn’t think I had been that bad!

I had a health check yesterday, turns out I’m the same weight I was two years ago 🙄. I’ve definitely been a bit lighter than I am now, so I’m a bit annoyed with myself. BUT my waist to hip ratio measurement is better and my waist is smaller so that’s something.

i’ve started being more diligent in recording my calories on nutracheck, it’s really the only thing that works well for me and I’ve been rubbish at it this week. Exercise has stalled again, I’ve got some back pain and I don’t want to risk aggravating it. But I’m still focussed on my 6 week goal to try and lose around 6lbs. I even resisted Friday night wine!

@Alwayslearning25 look pretty good overall I would say, good protein and fiber :) don't know about calories unless it's tracked! Maybe add avocado for healthy fat?

I did a quick 10 min ab/core workout this morning before bouncing around for an hour with the kids at the trampoline park! Was so hot and sweaty after that!
Ended up having a 2 hr nap this afternoon it completely wiped me! Although still catching up from my bad night sleep recently.

Calories: 1375
Breakfast smoothie
Thin bagel with a tin of tuna + a by of mayo for lunch
Chicken wings and large salad for dinner
Closing the kitchen now 👍🏻

@Alwayslearning25 I’d say it looks pretty good, I think I’d feel satisfied after that.

I weighed this morning and have officially moved to under 90kg - a long way to go for sure, but over 10kg down (and 10% of my start weight) since June! I don’t recall who mentioned the idea of all weight loss being real, but not yet ‘owning’ a figure - but I’ve found that concept so helpful. Over the next week or so I want to own being in the 80s, and by the end of September to have lost 2st in total I think. By Christmas I hope to have lost 3st, which allows for the rate to slow so I hope is realistic. This group has honestly been so helpful, so thank you all 💜

Great progress and goals for end of 2025

I weighed and measured this morning to round up August:
My weigh in is 10 st 0.4.
Which is great as it means the recent WOW @ 10s 2.2 was a fluctuation thanks to a big event month with a crazy random long cycle. Also glad to see the weight is still creeping down without IF, and sticking to calories.
Although annoying that overall in August I have gained as I started the month at 9 st 13.2 and my August goal was to stay in the 9s. Never mind I am nearly there.

My September goal is to get back into the 9s 🤩
Would love to finish Sept @ 9 st 10 or around that.

Meal plan for today:
Breakfast Smoothie
Thin Bagel with either Tuna or cottage cheese
Carbonara for dinner
Aiming for no snacks or fruit and yoghurt as a snack if I need it.
I'm about to do a low impact cardio workout - let's go!!

So I lost 1.4kilos in august (3 pounds) would have liked more. I was 0.4 kilos lighter earlier in the week but not made it back down there yet.
I am currently 84.8. I am desperate to be under 80kilos though.
This is the month I joined the gym, I’m just off there now, so I have toned and I am stronger already, I know the lighter I am the exercise will get easier, especially the running I’m trying to do.

The best thing though is I haven’t had indigestion in months, which was becoming a constant issue, loosing weight has helped that.

@Marshmellowbunny at my health check the other day, I was talking to the GP about morning exercise - I’d love to be able get up and exercise first thing to get it out of the way, but I can’t exercise on a completely empty stomach, and there’s not enough time to eat and let food digest to fit in exercise and getting ready for work unless I got up at 5am. She said some people will have something carby before bed to fuel a morning workout. I can’t help but think that would go straight to my hips though 😂. After reading your post it made me think that maybe I could try something light like a slice of toast or couple of oatcakes if I can get myself out of bed

Didnt remember to do a last-day-of-the-month weigh in, so will weigh tomorrow to kickstart September. I haven’t missed new thread link have I?

On the overall month I lost 3.5lbs and that’s with a stall for two weeks so I’m happy with that. I also passed my goal that I set in January so a good month

Sneaking back on to the end of the August thread after a decent break away!

Hit my “20lbs off” target just before I went away. Have put 1lb on on holiday, but I’m ok with that. However Having spent the holiday regularly sun creaming a load of wobbly bits that never see the sun in the UK, I am ready to lose the next 20lbs 😩

School goes back next week, so back to routine for me. Ending August at 14 st 3.

So a 4lbs loss which I am happy with as I’m losing weight at a realistic pace with no deprivation. I think if I wasn’t on my period and hadn’t gone out for dinner last night there would have been at least an extra pound off but I guess I’ll get that in next months total.

Hi all, just checking in with end of the month weigh in too! 12lbs in about 12 weeks, so happy with that!

Was going to do a longer fast this morning, but all went a bit to pot, so given myself the day to just be and get back to more control tomorrow. I have walked 6 miles/10k today and been busy cooking and cleaning too. All about balance hey?

Hopefully @TheRealHousewife is OK and we can carry on here - there's certainly enough room on this thread.

Intentions for September - get the stone off (so 2lb) and then another stone by Christmas I guess! Shock

Going to read back now and come see how you're all doing.

This last week has been a bit messy what with a few social things and I went to a music festival at the weekend. Back to normal from today hopefully and weighing again on Friday, I just hope I've maintained, not gained back. I remembered why I never buy Jaffa cakes, ate a whole packet over the weekend 🤭
