⭐️OPEN TO ALL⭐️

Following on from ⭐️LOSE IT!⭐️Fit & Fabulous February 2025⭐️

Let’s keep the momentum going in Move it More in March!

To reach optimum health and vitality (as well as a slim bod) we need to focus not only on our food intake; but movement, our mental health and sleep quality too!

Who doesn’t want to feel good and energetic as well looking great! Get on board to reset & refresh and become a healthier version of yourself.

These threads are for those who’d like to lose weight and those who wish to maintain whilst eating a healthy varied diet.

As no one size fits all, members need to follow their own way of eating. This thread aims to offer guidance, support and a bit of hand holding.

We generally have WOW (weigh on Wednesday) day each week. However post and share your progress as often or as little as you prefer. Do what works for you.

The important thing is not to think of it as a diet (based on deprivation and unsustainable) but more a way of life (sustainable & enjoyable).

I calorie count based on a lower carb Mediterranean diet. I intermittent fast and generally eat twice a day. Im a long time healthy eater and overall I’ve lost over 3 stone. After having been on the wrong side of 12st Im now hovering around 9st 2lbs.

Are you in😊 What food plan will you be following? What do you want to change and why?

Target 13.2 end of March
At the moment I weigh 13.12
Look forward to a lovely summer ahead

IDareSay · 27/02/2025 10:12

Thank you TheRealHousewife

Excellent name for the March thread as I do need to move more and that does get easier as the weather improves. It will be great to feel more comfortable in summer clothes (assuming we get a summer!).

TheRealHousewife · 27/02/2025 10:28

Hi @TealSloth & @IDareSay You’re both welcome! We all need a bit more sunshine and like you say @IDareSay it’s certainly easier to fit more movement in when the suns out. There’s nothing I like better than potterrring around in the garden on a warm & sunny day ☀️❤️

Hello, I'm in!

Weigh currently 19.8 stone and have lost 2.5 stone so far. Need to keep it up, I've plateaued since christmas but determined to get back on it now as I start a new job on Monday.

'Move more' is so important too, I'm going into a full time job and worried about how I'll fit exercise in, but I'm aiming to go to the gym and for a swim every weekend, and will try 1 evening a week to go to the gym too.

StealthyBMI · 27/02/2025 13:00

Thank you @TheRealHousewife .
I've been following fast 800 since 1st Jan (though more like Fast 1000.) I do a bit of intermittent fasting as part of it, plus generally low carb, and try to exceed 10,000 steps a day. I'm adding more gym sessions in now to incorporate some weight training and walking on an incline. I've just finished week 8 of Fast 800 which I had planned to end on but have decided to push through to 12 weeks, but with some more cheat days in March.
I lost nearly 4kg in Feb but losses have definitely slowed so would be happy with another 2-3 kg lost in March, and to get to my healthy BMI by summer.

LighterSpring25 · 27/02/2025 13:29

Hi, I'm in starting 1st March.

5 ft 3
10 stone 10 I think, I will weigh Saturday morning.
Ideally I would like to lose a stone.

I have been reading your February thread and was waiting to start in March.

blizymitzy · 27/02/2025 13:46

I'd love to join
I've been unwell so lost a couple of pounds and want to keep going.
I'm currently 12st 3 lb ,5ft6 and want to loose weight but menopause is definitely making it harder than it should be!
I'm using my fitness pal and want to get walking every day but I'm feeling so poorly still I think I will wait for exercise until I finish my antibiotics.
I'm eating really well with no upf and feeling much less bloated.
I started at 12,7 lb .

TheRealHousewife · 27/02/2025 14:04

Welcome to the thread @PenniesButton @LighterSpring25 @blizymitzy 👍

@PenniesButton Congratulations on your loss to date. Awesome progress 👏

@blizymitzy Sounds like you’ve had it a bit rough! Hope you soon recover!

Pleased to see you with you again @StealthyBMI 👍. You had a very successful February with that 4kg loss! 👌

I myself really need to move more; I move as much as I can but currently have a groin strain (on top of the back issues). It’s always two steps forward and 3 steps back 😬 I just do what I can do 👍

Springing over from Feb with sunshine and daffodils on the horizon.

N27 · 27/02/2025 15:07

I would like to join please!!

Skyglimmer · 27/02/2025 17:55

I will be joining in again. I definitely over ate during January and February but still kept up my exercise. Been sticking to my calories this week though. It has felt nice going to the gym in the light this week.

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 27/02/2025 18:55

Thanks for the new thread @TheRealHousewife i’m hoping for some losses in March - eat less, move more will be my motto for the month.

had a short sunny walk today - it felt so good to be outside after a stint of miserable weather and winter lurgy. planning a much needed mental health boosting walk at the weekend to kick off March. It’s starting to feel that spring is round the corner (and with it, the motivation to fit into the summer clothes!!)

LBB2020 · 27/02/2025 19:31

Thank you for the new thread @TheRealHousewife

This week I’ve really struggled to say on track and have been over on calories every day 😳I’m going to avoid the scales this week and try to get my head back in the game over the weekend

PatienceOfEngels · 28/02/2025 07:07

Thank you for the new thread @TheRealHousewife !

2025 has been difficult so far with bereavement in early January. Feel like I've had a permanent headache since Christmas (flu has been sweeping my school). Dh not sleeping well and stressed about new job/FIL which has a knock on effect on us all.

Fresh start for March! Though starting with a weekend away and day up in the big smoke on Saturday so pretty sure I won't be eating particularly well until we're back home early next week.

SW (Oct 22) 77kg (was up to 79kg Aug 22)
SW (Jan 25) 72.7kg
CW 71.5kg
GW 68kg (healthy BMI, am 165cm)

Goals for March

  1. No eating after dinner
  2. Drink enough water/herbal tea during the day
  3. Get outside every day - MOVE!

Have been toying with giving something up for Lent - crisps or/and cheese are the likely candidates but even just sticking to number 1 above (no eating after dinner) would be a win.

TheRealHousewife · 28/02/2025 09:11

Happy Friday!

Great to have you join us all again @Fellsbells @PatienceOfEngels @LBB2020 @WhatWouldTheDoctorDo @Skyglimmer @N27 👍

The sun is shining, which I find to be a great motivator to MOVE MORE! Washing is on the line and I’ll be pottering in the garden later. Feels like true spring is just around the corner.

Menu
Meal 1 - Mushroom soup. Pecans.
Meal 2 - Halloumi and butter bean stir fry. Apple.
Tea, black coffee & water.

Thank you for the new thread @TheRealHousewife 💐

Starting the month on 121 lbs, down from 122.6 lbs at the start of January. I have 9 lbs to lose to hit my target weight. I almost got there last summer, but took my eye off the ball and the weight has slowly crept back on.

March’s mission is to do some form of exercise every day, even if it’s just going for a 15 minute walk.

Starting weight 9st 1lb.

Imagine how different you could feel and look this time next week/month if you make the change!

Meal 1 - Mediterranean omelette & side salad.
Meal 2 - ??? Not sure as might be out 😬

Feeling a little sluggish this morning, but checking in to remind myself to be a bit more focussed this month! Eat less, move more.

Not sure what’s happening food wise today, but I’m determined to get a Les mills class in and I have a walk planned for tomorrow, weather permitting.

Good luck with March WOWers!

PenniesButton · 01/03/2025 10:13

Morning everyone!

Feeling focused. Back on the nutracheck, determined to get the scales moving downwards after my time out.

And to move. There won't be any movement today but I'm going to go for a beach walk tomorrow, can only manage around 20 mins but that's still 15 mins longer than I could manage last year.

WeAreTheThirteen · 01/03/2025 10:23

I have been rubbish at sticking to my calorie allowance through January and February but hoping to be better in March. Have been getting out and about a bit more as the weather is more springlike here,

Hi!
I'm currently 12.5 stone, target weight just under 10 stone...
I'd never previously had a problem with my weight. Entirely took it for granted. Weight disappeared after babies #1 & #2 with no effort. Now baby #3 is 3.5 years and I'm heavier than I was when I was fully pregnant and still gaining. I cannot blame hormones. There's no mystery. I'm eating ALL THE FOOD. And the problem is I don't even feel guilty about it. I bloody love it. Resolve every night to sort myself out the next day. And don't. Repeat. #SendHelp
